I am so proud and excited, this is the best mask I’ve made so far and I really hope whoever buys it loves it!! It is a maine coon cat!
My Etsy is MiscellaneousMasks
Here is the link: https://miscellaneousmasks.etsy.com/listing/4554157218
If links aren’t allowed I’m sorry
I do not know what the pink flowered plant is properly named, my family calls it Nana’s plant since my Nana was very fond of it.
It is next to a bird feeder which is where I assume the sunflower(?) came from. Not sure what the smaller leafed plant is.
Should we remove the volunteers? This plant is very loved by my family and we would hate to see it die. Thank you in advance!
The lighting is bad sorry…
I have finally completed the mask!!!!!! I can’t wait for the concert! I plan on giving it to the band but now that it’s complete I’m going to message them on insta to see if they are even willing to take it!
The mask is hand made using faux fur, acrylic paint, model magic and EVA foam.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the little crown to go with?
I am a HUGE fan of wolves, they are my favorite animal in the whole wide world and I’m so excited they are coming back! It has always bothered me in PZ that wolves were listed as having alphas when in reality it’s more like a mother and father leading the pack.
Of course nature doesn’t follow strict rules and there are exceptions, but the word alpha always sprouts a lot of misconceptions about these beautiful animals.
Thoughts? In my opinion a simple replacement with the word “pack leader” or breeding male and breeding female would be better.
First photo is the first mask I ever made, a wolf, second is a bobcat which is more recent. Third is a WIP maine coon that I would like to sell.
I was actually going to start selling a lot sooner, however the cougar mask I was finishing up to sell got heavily damaged by a leak in our ceiling.
Anyway, I plan on going to Etsy, however I am nervous all people are going to see is the little inevitable flaws in each mask.
Thank you for your time!

This is the second time I have found a bug that looks exactly like this in my bed with me when I wake up. I haven’t been bitten anywhere that I can tell and I have no proof of actual bed bugs.
It’s a small little fella, moseying around outside now. Thankfully he let me cup him and bring him out very easily.
For context on just how small it is, that woven texture is the seat of an outdoor chair. I’d estimate a little bigger than a large grain of rice.
Thank you for your time. And if this is a weevil please enjoy the snoots n boots.
I am seeing the Crane Wives in concert on the 18th, I also happen to make therian style masks, I had the idea that I could make the fox from the Foxlore album and try and give it to the band!
The issue is we don’t have spots at the front, and likely won’t be able to get their attention.
The masks are fragile and cannot be thrown (not that I have good aim anyway)
Has anyone ever gotten a bands attention after the show somehow? If the concert doesn’t work do you think I could try messaging them on instagram??
Thank you in advance!! I appreciate it
I have ADHD, and struggle to remember things that aren’t ingrained in me. I forget to eat even!
Feeding my fish is routine at this point, but fertilizer I struggle with because it’s not every day. Additionally, I use Seachem Flourish which needs to be refrigerated. So not only do I have to remember to fertilize, it has extra steps of going downstairs and getting it out of the fridge.
I plan on switching to a non refrigerated fertilizer once my flourish runs out, but for now I only fertilize once a month if i even remember to at all! Because of this I have algae balance issues in my lowest stocked tank.
All that to ask, anyone got any tips?? Thanks in advance!!
It is supposed to be a castle over run with plants and taken over by wolves! How'd I do? Any tips so I can improve? I cant wait to remake it in Planet Zoo 2!
I’ve had these 4 for only 4 days and I’m already in love with their little attitudes.
Sadly one of them passed away during acclimation to the quarantine tank but the other 4 seem healthy so I expect their quarantine to go smoothly. I will eventually get them up to 15 in numbers so they aren’t lonely or stressed.
I love them I love them I love them.
Side note. What are some foods you recommend for Pygmy’s? I have bottom feeder tablets that I can crush up but even then the particles seem really big and it looks like they only get some of it. They will be in a display tank with some red tailed rasboras so I’m worried anything that doesn’t sink right away will be gobbled up before the corys can get it!
PHOTO NOT MINE, FOUND ON GOOGLE!!
TLDR: someone please just tell me if there are any plants that look like this that I will actually be able to find in Illinois that aren’t guppy grass or hornwort.
I am in Illinois, which seems to be one of the stricter states when it comes to aquatic weeds. (For good imo, it just makes finding aquarium plants kind of hard)
I have been trying to find a stem plant that both looks nice and that I won’t kill for a while now, I heard about anacharis and thought I’d be in for a treat. Seeing that the most common Brazilian anacharis is banned and illegal in my state I was hoping there would be a less illegal and less invasive variety around.
I googled it and it seems like the narrow leaf species is great! … except I don’t trust the AI response it gave… so I googled it again to see if the results would be the same, and like I suspected it came up with “It is highly illegal to own sell or distribute anacharis narrow leaf” (in Illinois at least)
I am frustrated, both at my inability to keep plants alive and the fact that AI is now ingrained in almost every device and website and app.
Anyway, can anyone give me a straight answer? Will I be able to find anacharis narrow leaf? Can I buy it? If I can’t are there any that look alike?
Thank you for reading my massive wall of text.
Not my worst. I’m definitely still new to this, the actual printing is hard for me but the carving I find quite calming.
I now can wear a print of my cat on my shirt :)
I am looking for something of similar appearance to cabomba or ambulia or water sprite to put in my low tech riverbed style tank.
I had water sprite but it fully died on me and I don’t know what I did wrong. Cabomba also dies for me, I suspect because of the low lighting.
Right now I’ve got dim lighting, but I plan on upgrading to moderately high lighting within the near future.
Some more info: WALSTAD STYLE TANK! hard water with a pH of 7.8-8.0. Fully cycled 30 gallon long. Lightly stocked for now but I plan on fully stocking slowly.
I would love to find ambulia but it seems really hard to find since it’s invasive. I have some water wisteria I am trying but I suspect it will become leggy like in my other tank.
I really don’t want to try hornwort as I’ve heard bad things, but I will if there are no other options. Thank you in advance.
I hate feeling selfish. But I also hate feeling excluded.
I’ve been told I’m selfish my whole life. I’ve been excluded my whole life. (probably because I’m selfish)
anyway my sister is having a cook out/party. my found family brother came to it and in the past he has been the only one to actually understand my poetry… or y’know actually give a shit. He hasn’t listened to a poem in months. I don’t want to force him to but my mediocre poetry is kind of the only way I know how to be “real.”
But he has bigger things to worry about, and he is busy being friendly. This is supposed to be a fun party, I’d likely just drag the vibe down anyway, all my poetry is depressing.
there goes the one person who can understand.
Last pic is of a Malaysian trumpet I have for comparison!!
These spiraly little guys have overtaken my 55 gallon. I am trying to be careful as not to dump any outside when I do my occasional water change… but it’s possible I already have accidentally.
Anyway, I have had this tank produce the occasional full grown Malaysian Trumpet Snail and would like to know if it’s the slightly more helpful sand sifting variety of snail behind my infestation rather than the considerably invasive kind.
The adult MTS I have from this tank are both low patterned and look like giant versions of the little ones. I moved my MTS to a different tank and they have produced a few babies that look quite the same.
I have a sneaking suspicion these are not the same and are in fact New Zealand Mud Snails, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to check.
They had plenty of other really pretty tanks, but this one caught my eye the most! Right when you walk in the door!
The store is called Fish Planet it wouldn’t let me link their website but I’ll see if I can in the comments. (Or you can just google them)
Quick disclaimer. I chose this tag because like almost every single one of my other poems this poem is dark! I didn’t know how dark this subreddit usually leans, so I thought better safe than sorry.
>!The end mentions wanting myself dead.!<
You’ve been warned! Also this is my first time posting in this subreddit and I’m not the b**est at critiquing so I understand if I need more comments under my belt to properly post.
I rise from a restless sleep,
Fruitless.
No dreams at my disposal.
No worth-while thoughts.
I stay awake late at night.
Trying to write of meaning.
Of love and of loss.
No rhymes to help me through the process.
I don’t understand this world.
Or the world that spins around my head.
I don’t understand myself.
>!Or why I would rather be dead.!<
It definitely ain’t my best or favorite poem of my own, but I am decently proud of it and how far I’ve come. This is the 401st documented poem I have in my notes app. I really struggle with meter and all my rhymes usually sound very forced, so any tips on those things specifically would be of great help!
400 poems and my writing is still pretty mediocre. I thought practice made perfect?
This is Carmen. He is in a heated hospital 5 gallon that gets regular water changes. Though I haven’t done a water change in the last 2 days for fear of stressing him out more when I pour the water in.
Parameters: 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate (hospital tank is not cycled.) temp is 79 f
Carmen has/had a severe eye infection. His symptoms were swelling and white spots on his eyes. He was always eating until yesterday. I treated with 1 round Kanaplex and some aquarium salt.
The white spots haven’t gone away, but at one point he was seeing better and the swelling has reduced significantly.
Yesterday I noticed him doing “summer-saults” and laying on his side on the bottom. Today he will not eat at all despite me putting the food right in front of him. He is having trouble swimming and is VERY lethargic, kind of just drifting along. There is a weak airstone in there with him. Should I remove it?
I’ve had to euthanize a betta before and I never want to have to again, but I understand if he is suffering it is best to get it over with so he doesn’t have any more pain. What do I do?
