Reached maintenance and got cut off.
24F, I had severe type 2 diabetes before taking this medicine, which was the whole point of being on it for a very long time, but also my dr prescribed it for weight loss because I was 250 lbs and very sick all the time because I struggled with overeating and being so hungry all the time. No, I don’t work out because I find it to be too much since I have a heart condition that makes me very sick when working out, and in general, I still get pretty sick. My dr says I’m “healthy,” but internally I’m definitely not. Even though I lost 109 lbs, I still feel like trash that’s due to being forced so quickly off the medicine. I was taken from 15mg to 2.5mg then ripped off 2 days later. They gave me the reason of “diabetes won’t come back and you’re completely fine to stop, and we refuse to prescribe further because you do not need it to maintain.” However, I do need it to maintain, and I have gained 14 lbs back of the lost weight, which has me exhausted and disappointed after losing it over a course of 7 months. I was on Mounjaro for 1 year or more, and I don’t know what to do. I’d rather keep getting prescribed than pay $140-$200 a month. Sorry, I can’t afford it. Not everyone can pay that for medicine, especially when they are mostly disabled with health issues and no income! Anywho, I think I’ll go back to the original dr who prescribed it to me because I can’t maintain without it, and it helped me so much. I felt amazing. Now I’m starting to feel trash again and not even have motivation to lose the weight because it’s really more difficult than people think. Plus, I have always struggled with weight loss due to a lot of different things. Again, I won’t go into detail. I have had bad blood sugar readings and diabetic issues again due to not being able to take the original medicine. Please do not suggest me any medicine elsewhere. I’d like to try to get my original dr to prescribe it again to help maintain and my blood sugar levels!
Note: I LOVE HOW NEGATIVE SOME OF YOU ARE AND STOP COMMENTING ON SOMEONE’S APPEARANCE. IT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! GO ASK THE WOMEN WHO WEAR 10X MORE OR WHO WEAR MAKEUP TO LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NOW. STOP BEING A PRICK! I came on here for different suggestions I can take to maybe lose that weight again and control my blood sugar and also explain what happened to me personally.
TL;DR: Need Mounjaro for maintaining and blood sugar issues again. I have difficulty losing weight due to separate health issues I wish not to discuss. Also, ripped off the medicine way too quickly, so now I’m left with a starving feeling and nausea.
