Still new to the car, is this a normal sound?
Is this the cricket sound everyone talks about? Video in the comments.

I have always felt draw to Lord Hades, and never was sure why. I grew up in the country on a farm where I was introduced to death at an early age. Ive always found it peaceful for some reason. Even as a kid I would collect shiny pieces of glass or pretty rocks or even scraps from the burn pile and set them aside as my treasures. I also always felt drawn to cemeterys and had great respect for the dead. In April while at the frc robotics world championship I started feeling strongly pulled towards Lord Hades (Im unsure why but I think some of it had to do with people keeps on pushing asking what religion I was or just the amount of stress i was under). I started noticing things in sets of threes as well as little things on the bus rides like cemeterys or dead animals, which I thought was a coincidence. I also started to feel less scared about the fact that it was the last of a lot of things for me. My final trip with my robotics team, the celebration for all the graduating seniors. But the ending of everything didn't feel as scary as I thought it would. Lord Hades felt like a comforting father like presence. Throughout all of highschool I was forced into a private Christian school so I never really got the chance to explore this pull towards Lord Hades untill now. However the town I live in is extremely bible belty and it's hard for me to find any other guidance or support. I made a small alter but wasn't exactly sure what to use or what to leave as an offering. I still live at home with my parents so I have to try to be discreet. Currently I've been using a silver plated tray and leaving coins that I find such as foreign coins or ones with interesting things (like the quarters with nice places on the back or are considered rare) as well as silver when I come across it. I really want to learn more and find a community to lean on. Any help and or guidance is greatly appreciated. I honestly don't know what I'm doing or if I'm even off to a good start.
Ive had my ESA cat for 10 year now. She helps me with sticking to routines, executive dysfunction and grounding when im upset. She even has learned to alert me of when i have migraines or might be getting sick. Which as someone with a weak immune system the heads up is something i cant live without. I submitted all of my information weeks before move it as soon as i was accepted into the school (July 29th). They are trying to tell me I have to wait till spring semester because the school has to approve me and the animal despite having a psychologist letter. they also are telling I have to take a test to prove I know the policy as well as get the animal an ID. I feel like making a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. I dont understand why they need me to jump through so many hoops or how it is even legal to make someone do so under ADA law. I also emailed them asking for an expedited review of my ESA accommodation request. As well as asking for the denial on writing and the exact reason why. I was just wondering if its worth filing a report/complaint. Its not like im submitting the request move in week.
Edit: I am not at all trying to compare my cat to a service animal however I'm in Arkansas and they are protected under the Fair Housing Act and I was going through the disabilitys with the university so was unsure if the ADA is what I needed to go through.
I recently got the car so I don't have too many good pictures. So far its been a blast to drive!
Just wondering if anyone had good recommendations for ramps to do oil changes? I have a stock 2014 FRS and I really look forward to doing my own maintenance on the car. I don't have much in my garage just a lot of old tools and spite. I hope to get a nice shop set up out there someday. Any recommendations are appreciated!
Im currently enrolled in S&T for my freshman year but im not even sure if I want to do this anymore. Additionally I can not afford this school because my parents cant help me (on paper it says they make alot but they are drowning in debt and older). I've realized that I might be a better fit for the trades but my parents keep saying "your too smart for that" which is bs. Im even entertaining the idea of going into law. The problem is I really really dont want to have a desk job and I hate CAD. Should I still pursue mechanical engineering or should I drop it. Everyone in my life has been pushing me to go to this school and get this degree and I dont want to let them down but I dont want to be miserable the rest of my life. Ive done robotics all of highschool as well as machining and loved it. I dont know what to do.
Drove at night for the first time and these headlights absolutely suck. Any recommendations?
I have a pet cat that I was wanting to bring with me on the train from Little Rock (LRK-Union Station) to St Louis (STL- Gateway Station) and vice versa. The route is the Texas Eagle and I was just wondering how I go about doing that? I plan to use this to get back and forth from college and it'd be great if I could bring her with me.
Just noticed this after I got home with the car. I swear Im a careful driver. Still haven't taken it to my mechanic (Im taking it next Friday. Nothing seems wrong but I still want to get it checked given it's a used car with 119,000 miles).
Just went to my eye doctor because ive been getting occasional double vision while driving but she couldn't find anything show that I had any eye misalignment. after pushing her to keep checking she did find minor esotropia in my right eye and said to keep watching it. Only thing she confirmed is that it is not eye related but its neurological. She asked about my medication and I told her I'd been on Adderall but switched to Vyvanse and she thinks it's from either or both of those medications. I dont think it is because i rarely ever take my medication consistently. Any one have any advice on what to ask my primary care or psychologist or who yo got to first.
Hi everyone! I just bought a 2014 Scion FR-S as my college car. It has 119,500 miles and I was wondering what I should get checked out or plan to be fixing. When driving it and looking at it everything looked and sounded great. I did notice a hum when driving it but it sounded like the engine to me. The Carfax had almost all the maintenance records as well.
From what ive gathered it'll be best to get at least the spark plugs replaced and have these things looked at:
Transmission fluid (possibly getting it flushed)
Differential fluid
Water pump
Wheel bearings
Rear Differential Fluid
Front Struts and Rear Shocks
Serpentine Belt
I also was wondering how friendly this car is to at home repairs. I want to be able to work on my car at least some myself.
Anyway, all advice is appreciated. I really love the car and am determined to make it last forever.
I just wanted to know if anyone else had this? Everytime I go out in the heat after taking Vyvanse I always end up with the worst migraine at the end of the day. Its always behind my eyes like an ocular migraine so it might be something with my eyes or light sensitivity. For context I live in central Arkansas and feel like temp has been 90s or higher.
Hi, im going to Missouri S&T this year for mechanical engineering. I struggle with math but not in the way that the complex stuff is difficult, it's more that the basic math is whats difficult for me (especially things like fractions). I want to blame that on being put in an elementary school that did common core and didn't really teach basic math well. Anyways any advice or am I screwed?
Hi everyone, I've been thinking about getting one of these bikes for getting around college. The school im attending has some really bad parking (though I'm still bringing my car for when I need to get home). I was just wondering what the general opinion on his bike for a student was. Also I was wondering if it'd be a good bike for me since I'm 5ft tall. Edit: I also wanted to add that this will be my first bike but I've driven four-wheelers since I was a kid.
I've been looking into hellenistic polytheism for a very long time and was wondering if there was an active pagan community in Rolla. Im going to be moving there as a student in August.
