Never a slow news day around here...
I should sent them footage of me emptying by bins during a bit of rain. Quite fancy getting in the news.
Faketoshi Vol. 3 First Proofs
First look at the concluding volume of the Faketoshi saga. Covers Craig's entire legal clusterfuck, from his copyright 'award' to his flight to Thailand to avoid prison.
Coming November.
Son called back for second trial - how to stand out?
My 12 year old was called back for a second trial by our nearest UK Premier League team. It's the same as the first, a 4-week block, and he was one of only about 10% called back, so they clearly see something in him. If I could compare him to a pro player he's in the Amad Diallo mould - fast, tidy, both footed, high-energy and efficient in his passing.
He had the first session of this second block yesterday, and I was left thinking that he needs to do more to stand out. Obviously they're looking for something different in this second block, so my question is - what kind of things would the coaches/scouts here look for from a returning trialist as opposed to a first timer?
Mixed dog's food after he ate it, now he won't eat it
I recently changed my 7 year old lab's food to a cheaper one, and initially he was fine with the old and the new mixed. Tried it for a week, all good, so mixed the whole lot. Yesterday he refused to eat it, but he ate rice and scrambled egg, so I knew it was just the food. Again this morning, refused to eat. Put some salmon oil on and he ate 75%, but that was an old bottle that I now realise was out of date.
I will go back to the old food, but I have a HUGE box of mixed food I want to get through first. Before I get some more salmon oil, is there anything else anyone can recommend that might make this temporary mix more palatable?
Thanks.
Sports app with DAZN football
Does anyone know a sports app that shows National League football through DAZN? The games never show up on any of the popular sports apps.
Craig's new LinkedIn profile is telling
So someone pointed out on Twitter that the world's most highly educated fraudulent narcissist has reinvented himself on LinkedIn. A few things that stand out:
- He's still using that grainy picture of himself from about ten years ago, probably because his narcissism can't take the fact that he's now a haggard and jowly veggie farmer
- He is now labelling himself a 'Quantitative researcher and research leader'! Isn't a quantitative researcher just someone who researches using numbers? And who exactly is he leading in this research? Ramona? Farm hands? His pak choi?
- He claims he 'Founded and scaled two research organisations from zero'. One of these would be nChain, where he prattled on about blockchain ideas which other staff members turned into shitty, un-monetisable patents to which his name was attached after the fact. He was then fired.
- The other seems to be DeMorgan, an umbrella company for all those involved in his ATO tax fraud. DeMorgan was responsible for handing out the IP Wright 'bought' from W&K, MJF Mining and others (all fictional), which he claimed tax rebates on. The ATO found that it had no purpose other than this, with barely any external clients.
- There is no mention of blockchain, BSV, Bitcoin or Satoshi anywhere in his bio or work history, despite there being nothing stopping him from doing so. Even his nChain section doesn't mention blockchain, when this was its raison d'être. A couple of his articles mention BSV, but that's it.
Can we glean from this that the book is finally closed on his public Satoshi cosplay? He seems to be reinventing himself as an AI soothsayer (as opposed to just a power user) and looks to be harking back to his computer science roots.
Subtitle appears twice on Amazon, but no entity sees an error!
This is driving me mad! One of my books is titled 'Faketoshi: Fraud, Lies and the Battle for Bitcoin's Soul (Volume 1)', and yet the paperback and hardback versions are listed on Amazon UK's frontend as 'Faketoshi: Fraud, Lies and the Battle for Bitcoin's Soul: Fraud, Lies and the Battle for Bitcoin's Soul (Volume 1)'. In Waterstones, it presents as 'Faketoshi - Faketoshi: Fraud, Lies and the Battle for Bitcoin's Soul (Hardback)', with no mention of the volume number, which should also be in the title. The issue seems to be present in the UK (my country) but not in other countries.
Clearly there has been a duplication somewhere, but this is where it gets frustrating - Amazon blames Ingramspark and Ingramspark blames Amazon. They both say that the titles are presented as expected their end. Nielsen, too, says that there's no duplication their end (the distributor is down as Ingramspark).
Can anyone shed any light on what might be the root cause here?
Thanks!
Won't run in Windows
Anyone else have the issue where Spark now won't run in Windows since the latest round of updates? I haven't been able to open it for about 2 weeks now - Task Manager merely says 'suspended' before it quits. Tried everything I can think of to get it open, but no dice.
Numberplate worth more than the car?
Saw this Rolls Royce Spectre while I was waiting for the bus yesterday. Anyone know if the plate is worth more than the car?
Look of shame
I'm Arlo. Yesterday, I finally found a way into the compost bin. As a result, I've been up since 3am dashing out into the garden to poop my guts out and then running back in again to shake the rainwater all over the kitchen. Worth it.
Birthday boy🎈
It's Arlo's 7th birthday today. Please say happy birthday to Arlo. And send him peanut butter. All the peanut butter.
Edit: Arlo says thank you very much for all his birthday wishes! He feels very special, which he most certainly is xx
