Beginning my catholic journey, where should I start?
Hi guys so I have always been a believer in god and faith. I never grew up in a religous house and never had a set religion
But I always felt a strong connection to the catholic faith and saints.
I had a very difficult year last year and started reading online (scriptures / learning about saints ) and since bringing this into my life, I have experienced such positive feelings.
So I have 2 questions
1: what to read first? Where do I begin? Online scripture and reading bits here and there obviously was just a start, now I want to begin the bible. But 72 books? Is there a specific one to begin with? is there an order to it?
2: how to begin communication with my local church? Do I just go and speak to the priest about joining?
There are a few Catholic Churches around me, is there something I look for when choosing which one I should attend? Or does that not matter?

My small collection of old coins from different countries.
Love seeing every else’s collections so wanted to share this.
I collect new and old coins from where I live (uk) but this is my collection so far that’s of old (mostly old) coins from places other than the uk.
USA, Singapore, Egypt, Ireland, South Africa, Greece and more!
Originally started as my grandad lived in different countries so he had coins from all over and it created an obsession with me lol

Can someone explain why this old coin is like this?
Hey guys! So I don’t normally collect coins but started to buy old ones and it’s became an interest of mine.
I recently bought a big tub of old predecimal coins.
And in that tub, I found this coin.
It’s in good condition on one side and the other side is completely smooth, no scratches and absolutely no markings?
Has someone purposely done this to the coin then recirculated it?
I’m just so confused lol

It doesn’t have any writing or engraving on it to help with where it come from.
It’s metal (I’d assume brass or copper)
Really struggling on the best place to post it. I mainly want to know more information in general and not just it’s worth as it belonged to my grandad for many years so I’m just very interested to know more about something he always had
