What are your perfect films?

What are some movie that you consider to be perfect? Now, perfect can mean different things. It can mean that you literally dont think there is a fault in the movie, or it could mean that there are flaws but it doesnt detract from the experience or any other definition.

Personally, when i talk about movies i consider perfect i usually dont literally mean that the movie is perfect and without a single flaw at all but there is a movie where i have seriously zero issues with. And that movie is persona by ingmar bergman. My absolute favourite film of all time.

What are the movies or films that you consider perfect and why?

[WSIB] Help me find a game on ps5

I want a post-apocalyptic setting where I feel like I’m actually surviving in a broken world. Something where I’m traveling through a wasteland, discovering settlements, meeting different groups of people, and never being completely sure who I can trust. But its important that it, like, has a story and its not completely survival sandbox.

I’m looking for things like:

Finding small settlements or communities that need help.

Meeting strangers who could become allies, enemies, or something in between.

Trading, doing quests, and making choices that affect people different factions with their own goals and conflicts

A feeling that civilization is slowly trying to rebuild after a disaster

Exploring abandoned places and uncovering what happened to the world.

Genre really doesnt matter aslong as it does this fantasy well.

Ive played:

- fallout 4

- metro exodus

- days gone

- dying light games

Any suggestions?

Is this achievement missable / do i need to do a ng/ng+?

Im going for the platinum trophy for blasphemous (getting all achievements) but since i dont have ps plus i wasnt able to get both the rebirth and crossing souls achievement in the same playthrough. I got crossing souls and also the prayer that you get from said quest. My question is that do I need to do the rebirth trophy to be able to get the witness of the miracle trophy? Do I need to do a ng and do rebirth or am I good?

[WSIB] What are some rpgs that i can play next?

Im looking for a new rpg game but im struggling finding something really good. The games ive played are:

- all souls games

- cyberpunk 2077

- witcher 3

- skyrim

- kcd 1 and 2

- dragon age inquisition

Any game is welcome but i have a few preferences but these arent mandatory in any way.

I would like there to be a pretty good character creator and also have a very good amount of customisation options.

Story with consequenses. I also want to note that the game doesnt need to be 70hr long im fine with a smaller scope if it means a better experience.

Fun power fantasy, chosen one plot. Even though its pretty basic, this is an rpg im looking for and this trope never gets old.

Any recommendations you have are welcome!

Edit: forgot to say im on ps5 aswell.

[WSIB, pls read the whole thing] a survival rpg where the gameplay loop is designed around journeys?

I'm Looking for a very specific type of survival/travel game. I’m trying to find a game that captures a really specific feeling.

I want a game where you play as a traveler/survivor moving through a harsh or desolate world. The important part is that the gameplay loop is centered around JOURNEYS between settlements/camps/cities rather than building a permanent base.

I don’t really want a pure sandbox survival game because I usually end up feeling directionless in those. I want there to be an actual structure, story, progression, and ending.

What I’m imagining is something like:

* preparing at a settlement

* stocking up on supplies/resources

* setting out on a dangerous journey

* surviving the wilderness/trip

* finally reaching the next safe place and feeling relieved

* talking to NPCs, doing side quests, upgrading gear/character, accepting jobs/contracts, etc.

I also really don’t want combat to be the main focus. I’d prefer if combat felt dangerous and avoidable rather than something you constantly seek out. Like maybe avoiding bandits, negotiating, sneaking around threats, or only fighting as a last resort.

The closest feeling I’ve found was Death Stranding 1. I loved the loneliness, the preparation, and the tension of travel. But I’m looking for something where the survival aspect stays threatening for the whole game and doesn’t become too easy/power fantasy later on.

Main things I’m looking for:

* survival/resource management

* dangerous travel

* settlement-to-settlement gameplay loop

* structured progression/story

* replayability

* NOT live service

* clear beginning and ending

* combat not being central

Im mentioning here that ive played death stranding since it might come up.

What are your most profound video games?

Profound video games are games that are felt so strongly that they resonate with ones soul on another level. The definition of profound is:

"Having, showing, or requiring great insight or understanding."

There are games that capture this feeling. An emotional feeling where you learnt more about what it means to be human. These could be in terms of phenomenaly written characters, or a extremely well made world. It might be a story along with its characters. Whatever it is the game made you feel a certain unexplainable way.

Nier automata is that game for me. After finishing ending E it felt like i've experienced what it means to be human. A pessimistic and nihilistic point of view to life which i can heavily relate to. Even though the game is ultimately about cute robots and aliens the game does a tremendous job at portraying its message to me. The game doesn't resonate as well with everyone though and it doesn't need to. But it is, to me, one of the most emotionally profound gaming experiences i've ever had.

What are some other games that made you feel similarly, or games you could describe as 'profound' and why?

• resident evil 2 remake (mr x was just annoying)

• total chaos

I really enjoy this type of combat. I think it's one of those where it's pretty easy to learn but difficult to master, if done correctly by the game. But it also seems like this style of combat isn't so popular. I love elden ring and dmc as much as the next guy but the combat in games like Batman arkham games is super satisfying and its a different sort of feeling from the other games i mentioned.

Here are the games I have already played

- batman arkham games

- shadow of war / mordor

- insomniac spider-man

- absolver

- sifu

Maybe some others but these are the ones i have in my mind rn. Any recommendations? The upcoming game spine looks really interesting aswell!

Edit (forgot to add, dunno how i missed them)

  • sleeping dogs
  • mad max

I’m looking for recommendations for a very specific type of game and hoping someone here can help.

I want something linear, semi-open, or hub-based, definitely not open world. I really prefer tight, well-designed environments over big empty maps.

Gameplay-wise, I want it to feel somewhat RPG-like, but not a full RPG. Progression should be meaningful and rewarding, with some level of character customization (clothing, gear, maybe even appearance if possible).

For combat, I’m looking for something fast, fluid, and fun, but not over-the-top like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, and also not the slower, rhythm-based style like Batman Arkham. I’d also like some stealth elements, but combat should still be the main focus.

Other preferences:

* Third-person perspective

* Around 15–25 hours for a playthrough

* Good replayability

For context, I really like Souls games and have played most already. These are the games i have played that might come up:

- sifu

- all fromsoft souls games (bloodborne is my fav)

- Lies of p

- vanquish
