Everyone meet my son Vermithor (vermi for short)

How is my stripe neck turtle looking?

His platform is temporary since he snapped his old one in half he has a UVB 5.0 13w bulb 25cm above his basking spot. I know it's not 100% ideal but I have uvb checkers and the tubes are super hard to find near me

TEMPORARY ENCLOSURE don't flame me. He is a rescue and he's spent 4 years in a much smaller tank. I will be changing the lid for a puece of 18mm OSB with the lights on the outside

My 8-9 month old girl has stopped eating

I got her on the 1st of this month and the first few days she ate great and now she either won't eat or she will eat very little (1-2 tiny roaches), she seems interested in the food briefly and then she just loses interest and walks away.

I've left a few roaches loose in her tank to see if she hunts them and she does seem to chase them around (i understand the impaction risk and this is the one and only time I will be doing it)

She hasn't eaten now for a few days and I'm getting worried, her tail hasn't noticeably grown or shrunk since I got her but I'm pretty sure she needs to put on more weight

I have tried feeding her with tongues, using my fingers, leaving food in her tank, putting her in a separate no substrate tank and letting some roaches out for her to hunt, she has one and then shes not interested and the roaches are so small there's no way one is enough?

I'm getting large superworms tomorrow for my other reptiles so I was thinking about cutting one and trying her with that?

Please can anyone help or atleast help me figure out how stressed I should be?

Moving a crestie safely

Hi everyone, I'm getting a crestie at the end of the month and I'm experienced with other reptiles but I've heard these guys are prone to dropping their tails

The details of the trip are, the drive is about an hour and a half on european roads, in probably 30°c heat outside, the car has air conditioning etc. He has his enclosure but I will most likely take him out of that and put him in a decent sized tuppoware box with holes for airflow

​

How can I help ensure he stays stress free and as happy as possible and he doesnt lose his tail during the move?

​

As soon as hes home, hes going back in his enclosure and he'll sit in the corner of my office where he won't be disturbed for a couple of days (except for misting)

​

Any tips are massively appreciated
