Good ol' Dollar Tree nekked wood stuffs.
Michael's Halloween house is coming along. This is the last house panel and then it's sealing time, then I can finally I can put it together.
Great article for those of us gals over a certain age. I found it very interesting and it was kind of an "ah ha!" moment for me.
2010 Prius IV. The right side steering wheel controls stopped working. "Trip" and "Disp" buttons. I always reset Trip A when I get an oil change to monitor mileage for the next one. Left side audio volume adjustment buttons work fine. Will this be an expensive fix or should I just deal with it?
Why are the season numbers different on Acorn? What they have listed as Season 22 is actually season 18 (or 17?). And what they call season 19 is just a bunch of "after the show" interviews and them talking about stuff. I don't get it!
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with these feathers. I did the freestyle Southwest design thing but I really don't want to do another one of them. What else can be done with these? I put the keyring thing on them but it can easily be removed if there's some other purpose.
Oh my, Dollar Tree! Both the deer and this boot design have two numbers that are so similar to each other, it's almost impossible to distinguish without going blind!!
I was apparently not paying attention when I ordered this set. It only had two colors, blue and orange shown, just arranged different ways. So I whipped out my trusty ol' binder o' drills and threw some in the mix.
Does anyone know this family? I would like to help in some way; drop off baby supplies or something.
I haven't been doing this very long. Does this happen often? The colors on the canvas are not even close to what the colors of the drills are. It's a bit confusing for me because I'm looking for the symbol in the color similar to what the drills are. Take the #7 drills, brown-ish, right? And the color in the tray at the top. The 7 symbol is found in squares that are green, yellow, black, red and everything else under the sun. If the color on the canvas is supposed to be the drill color, how is the picture going to come out right??
UPDATE: The kit's from Temu. Yeah, yeah, I know!!!!!! LOL!
Just a bunch of miscellaneous Jager swag that needs a new home. Pick up either off 50/Mather area, or Folsom Monday-Friday.
I have a project I'm working on, and I had a thought it would be cool to do another one in a reverse colors, or maybe xray look. I don't know. Thoughts?
Welp, this one did not translate as well as I'd hoped. Is this AI?
Lesson learned. It's still fun to work on and I know my mommy will love it. <3
Just wanted to share my misfortune with y'all in the hopes that no one else falls victim to this scam. I do tend to trust people too much and that's on me.
5/13 a lady was offering to "gift" a bunch of kits for free because she wanted to give back, and just get them into the hands of someone who would appreciate them, and was only asking for postage to ship the items. We started texting as it was easier to communicate directly, right? She gave me a total of $54 for shipping (there were something like 28 kits. Supposedly!) She asked that I send it to her grandson's Venmo account. I guess that should have been a flag, and I'm a dummy head for going forward with it. And right about this time I discover that her Reddit account has been banned. I wish I'd seen that before payment!
5/20 she "found" more kits and would I like those for an additional $50 in postage. I declined so she asked if I would help her find someone to take them. I agreed and posted in one marketplace kind of a thing.
6/3 Now she's asking to borrow money. I'm like, "No, I don't really know you. We are just doing a business transaction, that is all."
Suffice it to say that I got the run-around when asking for tracking information. She says she sent it and has tracking, but now she doesn't, yadda yadda yadda. Then she stopped communicating. So I told her that I had someone interested in the other kits. I lied, so what?!?! It got her to respond. So I'm again asking for tracking information but now she's telling me I have to pay her an additional $50 to send it. Um...NO! I paid you what you asked for, so send it. She's actually extorting me for more money!!!
Our last text communications were 6/6. I have all the screenshots of texts and message. I've filed a dispute with Venmo and a report with my local police. Venmo wants the police report before they will proceed with anything which could take 7-10 days to get he report, then another 7-10 days for Venmo to investigate. IF they even do that. I know it's only $54 (and, yes, shame on me for being a dummy head) but I'm tired of people getting away with this kind of stuff, and hoping an investigator might actually look into this.
So, in the meantime, she's free to scam anyone else that's dumb enough to fall for her b.s. Her name is Audrey and her phone number is in the 703 area code. I suppose she could just create a new account and get back on here to try to scam more people so just beware.
I have a bunch of these little plastic jars, about 3" high and wide, and I'd like to make something thoughtful/creative/useful(?) for co-workers, possibly a holiday gift. They are plastic so a candle is out. Not everyone likes stinky lotions or bath salts, and they are too small for any kind of dump recipe. We have a good mix of men and women, some engineers, project managers, programmers and sales people.
I'm not all that artsy fartsy. I do diamond painting and that's about the extent of my creative streak.
LOTS of new diamond painting coaster and magnet kits looking for a new home. Posting for someone that's not quite computer savvy. ;-) She would just like to get the $50 shipping charges paid to send to anyone that will appreciate them.
My first project other than coasters!!! The cream colored drills middle right are the pearly kind but it doesn't show up in photos very well.
I enjoyed working on it, but I gotta be honest and say I think I like doing the coasters more. I think because it's satisfying to complete one and move on to the next in a shorter period of time.
Is there a big difference between these two? I don't really know what the blue one is; I just have several little jars of it that I've never used. They've been included in just about every kit I've purchased. I have the DAC pen I refill with the pink wax and have just been using that.
Y'all! I am so hooked on this fun hobby! I decided to try something new. I am definitely NOT the artsy fartsy type but I'm rather proud of this one. The feathers are a little kit from Hobby Lobby. I thought they were pretty, did them up but then what to do with them. I was walking through Dollar Tree and saw all the nekked wood design stuff and thought "Hmmmm, I bet I could put those together somehow." And this was born!
No clue what I'm going to do with it! Maybe spray it with something to protect the wood outdoors and hang it in the yard? I have more feathers so maybe I can do a couple others?
Cool, fun, responsible 50-something chick looking for a space to lay my head for a few nights. Hey, maybe even make some new friends!! I've been going to Aftershock since 2016 and I happened to come into a couple GA passes, but I can't find anywhere to stay that's not charging an arm, a leg, some teeth and a blood sacrifice. I'm willing to share hotel cost if it's not one of those assholes charging $700+/night. Well, now, hold up.... if y'all got a whole crew stayin in one of those places and just crashing out all over the place, that could be do-able. I'm easy. Um, wait, let me re-phrase...I'm flexible. Possibly trade for 3-day GA? I don't know how the wristband sitch works just yet; I'm supposed to get a link to register them and pick up at will-call.
HMU!
