Probably my overall favorite spot, although there have been more individually mind-blowing meals I've had in NYC... but the versatility and consistency, the service and ambiance here over the years (since 2012) give it a special place for me.
I love this place.
Only been for lunch, in both the main dining room and the bar room. In the main room, I've had both the 'all plant based' and then, like this visit, substituted the animal proteins.
I frickin’ love this watch.

The second time in about six weeks I’ve asked somebody to stop vaping inside a 3* restaurant. The first six weeks ago was Eleven Madison Park during lunch. And tonight at Jungsik.
What in the world allows these people to feel it’s OK to vape inside any restaurant let alone these type of places.
The absolute selfishness of not giving a shit about anyone seated around you is baffling.
I’m glad that I asked them to stop each time And that they did.
After the fact at Jungsik tonight, the manager said it’s something they run into fairly commonly. I was stunned.
Gearing up for the NYRR Pride Run 4M on Saturday.
So you charge $400 to $500 for a tiny room, and yes, I know it’s New York City, and it’s relatively clean, but then the closet-sized bathroom 2 feet from the bed. OK.
Six dollars for a bottle of water, whatever, I’ll pass.
But then actively soliciting tips for your staff.

I saw this at the Penn Station Fairfield a year ago as just a ‘self’ printed sign in the elevators, then it became a professionally printed permanently mounted sign in the elevator, and now another Fairfield/Springfield with this.
Pay your staff better. If I got extra services, that’s one thing, but when I don’t even get room serviced or fresh towels on a daily basis to “save the planet “…. again fuck you.

Amazing food. Went with the vegetarian menu (after two previous visits with the animal protein options).
Also, a huge Fuck Off to the lady two table over i had to ask to stop ‘sneaking’ her vape in the dining room.
How are people so self centered and inconsiderate?
Saw these two 'seals' with paper on the trunk of a car in PA. Doesn't look like it's English, but not good enough resolution to make out the language.
