Salary Range & Job Market

Hi everyone! I’m currently working in Sales and would like to know if Sales Admin or Sales Support positions in the UAE can offer a salary of AED 6,000–8,000 or more. Is this a realistic salary range for someone with experience, or what would be the average offer I can expect?

Is it a lil better now

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask how the job market is so far. Is it getting a little better now? I’m a bit worried that I might lose my job, and I don’t have much savings.

Should I save up for master's or stay here

Hi , I just need some advice. Im currently here in the UAE, working as Sales Admin. My previous work experience has mainly been in customer service both in Ph and here in UAE.

I'm 29 yrs old, Male, earning 4k aed per month. U currently have 4k aed in savings plus a small amount in my Ph bank. My sister is already in the U.S and my mom will hopefully be petitioned there this year.

Lately, Ive been thinking that if I cant build a better career here over 2-3yrs, why not doing a Master's in the U.S? Financially, maybe by then I can save atleast 30k aed and i could also ask my sister for some help to get me started my studies. Hopefully, in the future I could also bring partner there.

My questions are: Should I seriously consider this plan? how much should I ideally save or prepare and my chances to have visa for that? and, honestly, what would you advise me to do given my current situation?

What to do now

Hi! I recently created a Tabby account and made my first purchase through Noon for AED 30. However, I still can’t see my spending limit.
The main reason I signed up is because I want to shop at H&M and Bershka, and my total purchase might be around AED 600.
Could you please let me know how I can check my limit? Also, how do I use Tabby in-store? Do I just tell the cashier that I’d like to pay with Tabby? If my purchase is around AED 300, will it go through even if I can’t see my limit?

is this true?

Hi. I keep seeing posts in threads and other platforms from fellow Filipinos saying that there are fewer jobs offering a livable salary because some nationalities continue to accept lower pay. They also say that many companies now prefer candidates who can speak Arabic. Is this true? Are we Filipinos getting lowballed or facing fewer job opportunities now?

Whats your thought

Hi! I’m currently preparing to apply for a new job, as my current role may be affected by a possible layoff. I just wanted to ask do you think the job market is improving at the moment compared to the past few months?

As a men do we have still a high chance to get hire

Hi! Any men aged 34+ here in the UAE working in office jobs? Do you feel we still have the same job opportunities as before, or is it becoming harder to find corporate jobs as we get older? I’d love to hear your experiences.

Anyone same as me? Anxiety keeps building up

Hi. Can I just ask if this is normal or if anyone here is in the same situation as me? I’ve been working as a coordinator for about 4 months now, and for the past 2 months I’ve hardly had any tasks during my shift. My anxiety is building up because I’m afraid my position might not be needed anymore soon. Most of the time, when I do have work, it only takes me around 3–5 hours, and then there’s nothing else to do.

Question

I have been depositing from my home country bank to Wise, then transferring to IBKR. However, since I’m now working in the UAE, I’m planning to change my address to my UAE address so I can deposit using AED as well.
My concern is: would there be any chance that IBKR could restrict or ban my account if I still occasionally deposit from my home country bank through Wise, since I still have savings there?
Also, if I eventually move back to my home country and start withdrawing again using my previous method, could there be issues because my account address and funding currency were changed while I was in the UAE?

I have been working in Dubai for almost two years now. I created my account last year, but I used my home country address at the time.

Now, I would like to update my address to Dubai since regulations here are stricter and generally safer.

My plan is to transfer AED to my IBKR account, and then withdraw from IBKR to Wise in USD. For context, I have been using Wise to fund my IBKR account from my home country, and I may continue doing so depending on my situation, as I still have savings there.
