Whats something meam you did as a kid that you wished you could take back?

This doesn't have to be that deep. I remember looking for "five nights at Freddy song minecraft" on YouTube, trying to find a MC music video of the song. All I found was those jukebox + Minecraft Redstone videos where they make the song play that way. Me, being a dumb little 10 year old, got mad and pressed dislike on all of them lol. Sucks because I'm sure the little kids who MADE those videos got disheartened by it

Italian and French food is often noted for being good. I've only had the American variations. What's the best authentic dishes from these countries I should make?

Karma requirements for a spammed out subreddit is so dumb

Im not gonna mention any names because of rule 4. But basically, I dont use reddit a lot. At least I try not to, but Ive spent the past 2 weeks trying to go from 30 karma to now 600. Why? So I can post on one specific subreddit about one specific thing. Im not even chronically online. I have timers on every app except this one.

And for a subreddit that is spammed with posts less than 100 people interact with, why am I required to have the karma of a professional shit poster? Its annoying because generally subs require 100-500 im pretty sure. So why do I need fucken 1000 MAYBE to post some bullshit

Thank you for your time

What creepypasta/urban legend stuck to you?

For example, did Slenderman make you afraid to go outside at night? Or for the old folk, did you sleep with a cross in case Frankenstein's monster came?

Youre not ADHD, OCD, or wtv else. Youre just a mammal that isnt meant for sitting still for long periods of time.

Pretty much as the title says. While there are exceptions, OBVIOUSLY, that doesnt disprove the rule. Youre not ADHD because sitting for 8 hours with a 30 minute break is hard. Youre a human being descended of great warriors, entrepreneurs, hunters, gatherers, slaves, intellectuals, and more (all these apply to everyone btw).

Wait til you meet someone with real ADHD who bounces off the walls as a 25 year old, cant shut up for two seconds and constantly yells every word. Or an OCD person who actually counts their steps, panics over germs, and panics over uneven objects or touches.

Therapists benefit too much by diagnosing everyone with these things. They wanted to diagnose me with ADHD, but then I met my actual ADHD cousin, and my definition has of it has changed ever sense. So I take anyone who tells me they have these things with a large pile of salt.

Obviously dont be upset of this doesnt apply to you. This is a subreddit for hot takes after all

A lot of American students complain too much about lack of finance education

To clear up a few things:

This refers to American highschools

I said a lot, not all. A lot of other students should be complaining more tbh

Complaining TOO MUCH, also. Meaning they base the fact they dont know everything financial on the fact schools didn't teach them, even though parents and life situations will teach you more about life-related things. Lawyer school doesnt teach you how to be a good lawyer: it teaches about law. You learn to be a lawyer by becoming an actual lawyer. My point is that students/new adults need to learn how to do these things themselves sometimes.

30% of highschools require a finance class. 40% require finance education to graduate. Its those 30-40% that I'm referring to.

A lot of kids dont pay attention anyway. Considering I literally just graduated, I know how these kids were. My school had a required finance class that not many did the work for, not honestly anyway, especially since AI. I was friends with SO many kids with below a 2.0GPA complaining about lack of financial education, but then they proceed to spend more times on games and with friends.

That isnt even me just assuming. Ive dated those people, seen them interact with their friends, been their friends, seen their online status. It isnt insane to notice these things. Im not even SHAMING them. When youre young, youre inherently unwise.

Just a hot take though. Maybe I have the worst opinions ever. Good thing this subreddit is for hot takes against mainstream beliefs and not for 100% accuracy

Everyone knows emo, but doesnt know what it is

A random tiktok "baddie" with eyeliner, black wolf cut, and thick lip liner isn't emo. The guy with the "fluffy" hair covering his eyes and the baggiest fkn jeans isnt an emo. Those are called trend-chasing posers who strictly know deftones, sleep token, and maybe two nirvana songs. They likely default to the most mainstream political and social opinions, yet order their clothes from shien. Bonus points if they make tiktoks with hip hop/trap beats fetishizing emo and scene culture. Triple the bonus points when they give other alts (real OR posers) bad looks bc they arent the "odd one out" anymore

Then you have grunge, punks and goths all labeled emo because no one seems to care to get it right

Everyone knows emo, but dont know what it is

Do alternative people/fashion get more scrutinized?

When I was in Spain, everyone (esp students) wore the same sort of clothing. All black sports gear. I didn't see a single alternative people while in Logroño or Madrid.

So, is it just not common over there? I mean, I'm sure it'll is in some countries/cities more than others. But I've heard Europeans tend to wanna "fit in the crowd" rather than stick out.

Edit: im an alternative person, born alternative with alternative parents. I know its not all about the fashion. This question is targeted towards the fashion aspect.
