Confused

I am a bit confused. My former landlord sent a L10 form to the LTB. It was supposed to be scheduled for Aug 20. I just got an email stating the status of the form was closed. Does this mean I don’t have to worry about it anymore? Or should I still do the video hearing on Thursday?
The landlord filed a L10 because she believed I damaged her awning. I have copy of a text message stating I tried to close her awning and she did nothing about it. I sent all my evidence to the LTB. The landlord sent no evidence of how I damaged it.
I just want to make sure I dont have to do it. The email is a bit confusing

Rental increase

I have been renting this place for 1 year on sept 1. The town house was built in 2021. I pay $2600 right now. How much is he able to raise the rent to? He keeps messaging me wanting to talk about it. He has to give me 3 months notice too right?

Stay at home moms help

Hey I’m a stay at home mom. I have been for 6 years. Recently started working part time for a break. But in the 6 years I noticed the kids don’t listen to me. I have to scream and yell for them to do anything. I’m so tired of screaming. My whole life I have been an easy going nonchalant person growing up. I am passive pretty much about everything. I don’t know how I can start getting my kids to listen when I’m this way. Is there anyway I can? How can I make that change? I notice they listen to their father. For just about anything. Any and alll advice is welcome

What will be next?!

With the way that AI is now what will be next. I feel like ai will be able to use our voices next. Some scammer using Ai to scam my mom who’s 64 and with my voice. Saying I need money this and that. It almost worked on my 74 old dad when he got a text saying I needed money.
What will be next!? Let’s make this a thread of things to look out for in the near future.

Help with tenants

I have two tenants living in my basement. One just informed me that there breaking up. But the lease doesn’t end until December. He told me she wants to be off the lease. I’m not sure what to say or how to do this? Would they have to wait till December?

Is this a scam?

Is it a scam when they act all hurried? When they want to send you a gift card? Why do they want
to send me a gift card so badly?? It’s not me buying it. It’s them sending me codes. Reddit has gotten so bad with scams lately. It’s so obvious to tell when it is one

3 girls

Moms like to put a lot of blame on ourselves. Tell me how I can change. But I have 3 girls and I feel like my middle child isn’t the same as my oldest or youngest. It sucks because I was pregnant by time my middle child was 2. So I found watching cartoons for her was a lot easier on me (as a stay at home mom). I did still go to play school all the time too so it wasn’t like it was cartoons all day and night. I don’t even realize it when I kiss my youngest babies blankie, but then I won’t do the same with my middle child and her blankie. I have been 2 months off instagram and TikTok now and my mental health has improved very much. But before I was off social media I would just sit and scroll as my middle child would watch cartoons. While my youngest daughter was taking a nap and oldest was at school. I guess I never played with my middle child and I feel regret from it. My kids are only 6, 4 and 2. But already I see a huge change in my 2 year old who didn’t get much cartoons. To my middle child who is harder to deal with. I can’t blame her for being hard to deal with because I find parenting especially as a mom really hard daily.
If you have 3 kids and felt the same way tell me ways you changed it. Or ways you think would help me improve as a mom. Right now my middle child is with her nana. She gets alone time with her which is great. But she knows her other sisters are with her grandparents at the cabin.

Going crazy

I feel like I’m going crazy. I been off instagram and TikTok for little over a month now. Changed the habit with reading books. Been trying over and over to tell my husband how bad shorts are for our overall health. Also with how much social media is bad for us too. Read two books on it. To make it worse he has a betting addiction because how the algorithm works. That’s how they trap you to keep on betting him. Obviously the algorithm keeps showing him betting ads to fuel the addiction
I feel so stuck. I really want change for my husband but every time I bring it up he gets annoyed and mad.
I just want better for my kids.. sad world we live in.

Valleyway splash pad/park area

My kids were at the park and splash pad and I notice a man alone in a grey SUV park at the far parking spot. I make sure to be very aware of my surroundings anywhere with kids. So I notice my one daughter kind of go close to his car. She was playing and running. The way this man looked at me (probably to see if my face was glued to my phone) and I was staring at him the whole time. The way he looked at me and I looked at him he knew not to mess around. But I then left and came back and his car is still there. He was there for an hour. Why is a grown man sitting in a van staring at kids???
Parents please be very aware

6 years off and on

I had my oldest daughter in 2020. This was the worst because it was right when Covid started. Complete chaos that was. When my oldest daughter was 3 months old I stopped using instagram for 3 months. I felt SO free and after the 3 months I felt I could go back on it. Well I didn’t fix the internal issues. I soon found out I was using the phone as a coping mechanism for anytime I felt parenting being hard. Now with 3 girls all under 6 I feel overwhelmed. Not knowing that the REAL problem isn’t even just social media it’s the smart phone. After lots of reading on this topic (how to break up with your phone and the anxious generation). I am actively doing things that make me feel better. I use to take my phone with me everywhere. My excuse was I was counting my steps, as if someone was testing me on how much steps I took!? That’s crazy. So I started putting the phone down. I had my 2 year old daughter who would give me my phone anytime I didn’t have it near me.. that one really hurt. I think about it now and just break down. I decided to delete all my socials on June 9th yet again and have decided until I know I 10000% I can go on it without doom scrolling or staying on it for more then the time limit. This might take months to might take a year. Hell I will probably delete it altogether and not even go back on it. That’s how much I compare myself. Especially to friends that I know are struggling like me yet on social media there a different person
Anyway this post is for anyone who is really struggling with getting off the phone. Day by day it gets easier just remember that!

MIL is holding us back

When my husband was 25 in 2012 he was looking at buying a house. At the time he needed a co signer. So his mom was the co signer. At the time he also had bad credit. He saved his money and I want to be clear his mom never helped him with a down payment at all. He worked hard after getting the house and always paid the mortgage It was always his own money. Fast forward to now we want to re finance so I can pay off debts and for him as well. Reason for being in debt is because the same house burnt down. We lost literally everything and got money from insurance but hired a company that took 8 percent from the whole house for everything. We also needed a furnished place that was $3200 and had to pay the mortgage at same time $1400 both monthly. Because of this we had to pay bills at the rental place too. It all adds up fast with 3 kids I have. she knows this and is aware of money we got. The man on the phone told his mom that she doesn’t need him on the house. He will be stronger if he’s off the house. She’s holding a grudge still from the pass. EVEN after he told her she’s strong on his own.
I just had to let this out. I do so much for mother in law and get this kind of treatment in return. I will never be good enough for her and it’s not fair.

Change the algorithm?

I don’t have instagram right now. But when I feel mentally prepared for it how can I change the algorithm. When I was last on it I saw a lot of dieting ads and beauty. Over time I’m the most insecure person from that for sure.
Help a girl out pls.
I might just not log back in ever tho who knows. The thought of going on it gives me anxiety right now.

Best way to build a healthier life with my husband

I have a spending problem. I am $36,000 in debt and FINALLY I decided I want to stop living like this. So I deleted all the apps for food which entice me to eat out and spend money. I started reading a book on how to cut my phone usage (social media is ruining me). I decided to get a part time job (been a stay at home mom for 6 years) But then I realized my husband goes buck crazy on me when he thinks I’m spending money on food. When in reality he has a major weed and betting problem. If I could show the messages and calls he sends me I would. The anxiety he gives me just isn’t right and I’m fed up. All because he can’t get weed or because he lost on his bets. SO I have decided if I’m going to be making huge life changes then he needs to do the same. The proline account is in my name. Countless times he went from 1000 to zero. There’s so much I could have done with $1000!!! He’s literally loosing the plot. On the betting app they need to approve your withdraw. This is obviously because they want u to keep betting. For someone like him it’s easy to just put the money back in. I have decided to change my password now if he puts the money back in his account.
The reason for this post is someone if u gone thru this tell me other ways I can stick to this. We have a mortgage and rent covered so all the money goes to his betting.

EDIT: the title makes no sense lol I started typing the more important details and forgetting the title.
How can I live a better life with someone who’s always betting?

Boundaries for MIL

So my Mil for the most part is good or so I thought. But her and my husband are always in a fight. I’m always caught in the middle and i have 3 girls. Basically there in a fight now because she won’t take her name off the house my husband bought at 26. The only reason he needed her name was to co sign. She didn’t put no money towards the house or help him out with it in anyway the 10 years we been together. She kept telling him she wanted the name off. Then it came down to it got the lawyer with the papers to do it and she won’t. It’s a waste of the lawyers time! She won’t take her name off because we refinanced and she thinks no money will go to the kids. This isn’t true at all. She wants money to go to a down payment for a new house. But it’s not her choice at the end of the day. She talks constantly about how hard she worked and how her son needs to get his bills in order. There’s been couple times he didn’t have money for the mortgage. But I get mad by that because he’s a grown man let him make mistakes. We haven’t talked in 1.5 weeks now and we got really close. With makes me feel guilty too because the kids ask about her. She bought a whole house in another country to get away from the husband and daughter she says. Because they still live with her here in Canada. Anyway I just needed to get this off my chest. She always makes me feel terrible when I agree with my husband. Any advice or anyone go through the same? I need advice on how to approach her when we are talking again. I feel I have a big mouth and I need to stop talking with her all the time.

Seeing them out in the wild

Anyone else seeing these “influencers” out in the wild. I was just at Dollarama and I seen this lady talking to her phone. She made it very obvious she was talking to it. “Hey Guys come check out this new fifa World Cup gear”. Lmao sorry I just find it funny and disturbing at the same time. I didn’t go down that aisle for that reason. Is it scary to think that in the future with our phones we would be able to scan s person and find their socials right away. Kind of like a QR code. We thought it’s bad now. Imagine how much worse it’s going to get. This gives me a lot of anxiety because I have 3 young kids.
Tell me your stories of seeing people out in the wild! I need a laugh

Mental health of being a mom with social media

I know Reddit is social media. But Reddit you can get advice from and reading is different then images and videos. Anybody else so tired of social media? I am so tired of everyone perfect on there I am tired of fake people on there. I know this one girl who is on heavy medication and I knew her since we were kids. But on social media she’s a different person. I just feel anxiety and stress lately on it. I deleted it but it’s a bad addiction. I know I’m pretty yet social media makes me feel like I’m not. I’m so sick of society too going to play school with my kids and someone asking if my daughter wants to be a boy yet because she’s in public school. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I feel so scrambled and then I need to raise 3 girls.

Back to work part time. My mom thinks I shouldn’t.

So I have been a stay at home mom for 6 years. I finally decided I really want to go back to work part time. I am going to work on the weekends at a chocolate store. Honestly because I need a BREAK from the kids. It’s wild to say needing a break from the kids but i really do. Anyway my mother is AGAINST it. Totally against me going back to work. She thinks i should wait until my youngest goes to school which would be 2 years. But even if i did that i would still need help with pick up and drop offs. My dad (they’re divorced) and his wife will look after the kids if my husband has to work the weekend. See my mom’s husband doesn’t care for kids and wants my mom all to himself. So my mom won’t be helping out. The reason my mom doesn’t want me going back is because she thinks I won’t be able to keep up with the house work. Which isn’t true because my husband helps out too. My mom has made me feel so guilty about going back to work. Someone please tell me if you want thru the same thing. Any advice appreciated
