Best AI for making flashcards right now?

I've switched tools a couple of times this year trying to find an AI flashcard app that actually helps with learning, not just generating cards faster. After testing a few options for coursework, here's been my experience:

AI generation + built-in review system

RemNote has probably been the most complete package for me because the AI-generated cards are tied directly to my notes, and the review system is built into the same workflow. I also like that it uses spaced repetition instead of just letting cards pile up.

Strong spaced repetition, AI through add-ons

Anki is still the default recommendation in a lot of med school and heavy-study communities. The spaced repetition system is solid, but AI generation usually comes from third-party plugins, so results can vary and often need some cleanup.

Fast card creation

Quizlet's AI tools are quick and convenient, especially for straightforward definitions and class material. For me, it was easy to get cards made, although I found myself doing more manual review management compared with dedicated spaced-repetition tools.

Good for notes, less for review

Notion AI does a nice job summarizing material, but I still ended up moving content elsewhere when I wanted actual flashcard-based review.

Curious what everyone else is using these days. Has anything beaten RemNote, Anki, Quizlet, or Notion AI for coursework and long-term retention?

New dual agonist GLP approved in China

Survodutide is a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist that's already approved for weight management in China, which has the world's largest population affected by overweight or obesity. It was approved in China earlier this year, and the Phase 3 SYNCHRONIZE-1 trial results were just published in NEJM on June 7.

The study enrolled 725 adults with obesity (BMI >30 or >27 with complications) without diabetes. At 76 weeks, participants on survodutide lost an average of 12-13% of their body weight, compared to only 5% on placebo. The most common side effects were mild to moderate GI symptoms, which is pretty standard for the class. But what makes survodutide different is the glucagon component, which is thought to increase energy expenditure in addition to suppressing appetite. It's not on the US market yet, but China's approval is a signal that this drug is legit.

How are you handling K-1 preparation timing from fund admins this year

Running into the same pattern across multiple client files this year. Client invested in a fund, fund's admin handles K-1 preparation, K-1 arrives in May or later, client comes to me with an amended return scenario or an extension-already-filed scenario. Four clients this year, two last year, one the year before. The trajectory is the wrong direction.

The pattern across the four files this year is consistent. Three of the four were funds using one of the SaaS-style admins that outsource partnership tax to an external CPA partner. The handoff timing during busy season is where it breaks. The external CPA is doing returns for hundreds of other clients in February and March, the fund's K-1s aren't a priority in that queue, and the timing slips. The fourth file was a fund whose admin runs tax in-house but the admin had hired junior staff who couldn't handle the complexity, which is a different failure mode (staffing) from the SaaS-admin one (handoff timing).

What I'm trying to figure out is whether this is a pre-tax-season conversation I should be having with clients before they commit to LP positions. Asking GPs about their admin's K-1 preparation track record feels intrusive but the alternative is amending returns every June. Curious what other tax pros are doing on the front end of client LP commitments, and which admin workflows are still landing K-1s on time.

Where to find wedding venues that don't push hidden fees

I understand the marketing strategy behind it, but I keep getting blindsided. The website says "starting at" some number, then the tour hits you with service fees, admin charges, bar minimums, and rental fees that werent in the listed price.

Where can I check for venues that put real pricing on the listing or at least show whats included up front. Im under 10k and tours that turn out way over budget are killing me.
