Jackie the eagle’s caregivers face intense response
It makes no sense to me why anyone would want to pester or harass the wildlife professionals trying to help?
2 Detroit Zoo staffers hurt when train car derails, zoo says
My guess is that the last car (where a staffer is always hanging out) fell off the tracks. Still sucks for the kids that want to ride the thing around the zoo.
Royal Oak ranked No. 4 in Top 10 Commerce Cities in Metro Detroit
We're number 4! We're number 4! (after #1 Detroit, #2 Troy & #3 Birmingham)
Horror story: Bedbugs shut down Royal Oak Library, policy change eyed
Well this makes me never want to fall asleep (with a good book) there again...
Ring camera captures massive fire at Dearborn elementary school playground
It must have taken at least a number of gallons of gas or accelerant to cause that kind of intense blaze that melted non-flammable playground equipment. Why would anyone want to be that malicious to elementary kids?

Flint Twp. 7-year-old dies weighing 255 lbs.; parents charged with 2nd-degree murder
I see this as a failure of parents first, CPS second. How about you?
is it a police van? is it an ice cream truck? it's both!
I was Today days old when I learned that Oak Park has a police van that's actually an ice cream truck! Why didn't they have something like this in my sleeping/boring suburb when I was a kid? Also, the van was at the just remodeled David H. Shepherd Park where the kids climbing tower was something like 25-35 feet up and the highest and fastest kids slide I've ever seen. There were a lot of slightly concerned looking Oak Park rec people gawking nearby (maybe because the tower was totally jammed with kids), but that slide definitely is something remarkable.
unique International -> USA -> Canada -> USA checked luggage question
I expect there won't be too many responses, but I'm looking for knowledge or experiences here: I'm returning from a mileage run in October and when I clear customs in DTW (my hometown), I can continue along to my origination point in YYZ to finish my run properly and then cross the hallway and return right back to Detroit. Nobody will be at the DTW airport to hold my bags while I'm doing those last two segments, so I'm sure they have to continue with me. When I start the return journey, my bag will be tagged for YYZ; but once I arrive in Detroit and I try to get it retagged for DTW (i.e. for the DTW -> YYZ -> DTW legs), what's likely to happen (besides the agent rolling their eyes in disgust)?
Amazon Drone delivery criteria?
I just watched a drone lower itself below the tree line a block or two away from me so I know they service my area, but I've never ever seen a "drone delivery eligible" option on my many Amazon purchases.
I was wondering what the criteria for eligibility might be? I'd love to try it at least once, just for the novelty. But I can't tell if it's because my backyard is too small or too many potential hazards (power lines or trees)...
A Delta Air Lines flight was delayed in Cancun on Thursday after a swarm of bees settled on the 737’s wing. The issue was soon resolved with some forward speed on takeoff!

Royal Oak appoints new city manager after former manager's departure late last year
hey hey! The city commission wants Royal Oak to be so much like Birmingham they somehow enticed the Birmingham city manager to come over here.
Flock drones, ethics, and the recall of Dave Woodward
Apparently some people are advocating for political violence (ala "superhero" Luigi Mangione) when it comes to Dave Woodward approving Flock drones...
"Monday" = today (when most everyone is seeing this). Not sure how many ppl here commute down the Westbound I-696 speedway, but the ramp that offloads cars onto M-10/Northwest Highway/Lasher/Telegraph (i.e. it's a busy one) is being shut down for the whole summer. Yay?
