Am I able to book a flight with a passport before I renew it?

Maybe a stupid question, but I don’t know the answer so I’ll ask anyway.

My passport expires in October, I plan on taking it to get renewed this week.

I want to book some flights with Air China in November, and if possible, I’d like to book them asap. Am I able to book them with the expiring passport? What information actually changes when you renew a passport? And am I best off to wait until I have the new passport in hand before I book?

Is it possible to use Meituan, Dianping, and Taobao without a Chinese phone number? If not, what are my options?

I’ll be visiting China in November for the second time. The first time I never really experimented with any of these apps, but I would like to this time around.

Is it possible to order on any of these apps with a non-Chinese phone number? If not what are my options? Is there an esim I can get with a #, or am I best off just buying a cheap phone in China and using that?

Edit: my phone does not have a physical sim card port

How would you feel about using the money that would have been spent on Paz and Palestra to build a lineup like this?

With the unrealistic assumption that Oaktree doesn’t just pocket the money

Ekone Habanero Hots Smoked Oysters, best thing I’ve ever eaten from a can

10/10 I heavily recommend. This had the texture of chicken and almost tasted like smoked bbq chicken.

Had it on Italian bread with balsamic glaze and parsley, definitely buying this again. Puts all other smoked oysters I’ve had to shame

Got my bloodwork results and my cholesterol is high. How manageable are my numbers?

I’m a 28 year old man and this was the first time I’ve had my cholesterol measured.

My numbers were:

- Cholesterol: 204.927mg/dL (5.31mmo/L)
- Triglycerides: 44.0786 (1.14)
- HDL Cholesterol: 38.6654 (1.00)
- Non-HDL Cholesterol: 166.648 (4.31)
- LDL Cholesterol: 148.475 (3.84)

I’m 5’7 and 166lbs. I gained close to 20lbs since december after a vacation and being laid off work. I’ve lost 9lbs now and am working on losing the rest.

I very rarely smoke. Maybe a cigarette a month, if that. I have 2-3 drinks (beers or seltzers) 2 or 3 days a week. My current diet is eating 1 meal a day at the end of the day, with a small snack afterwards if I’m still hungry. That one meal does end up being takeout or pizza 2 or 3 days a week (hot lunch friday, pizza at DnD, and if I’m going out with friends/family).

I am fairly active as I work a blue collar job. I run every other day and have started lifting weights again on the days that I’m not running. I hit 10,000 steps every day. I also tend to get 6-7hrs of sleep each night.

My blood pressure is also fairly high, averaging around 140/88 at the doctor’s office. When I’ve measured at home, it seems to bounce between those numbers and 125/80.

I’m pretty concerned because these issues are new and I’m still fairly young. I’d like to nip them in the bud before they become more serious.

So my question is, how manageable are these numbers? Can I drop them to normal levels by shedding another 10-15lbs and cutting out 1 or 2 of my weekly takeout meals? Do I need to cut back on alcohol as well? Any help is appreciated

Charger is getting extremely hot. Is this normal or should I replace it?

Been playing Baldurs Gate and my charger is getting extremely hot. I’m a little bit worried that it might explode or cause a fire because I’ve never seen a charger get hot like this.

What’s typical for these chargers? Should I replace it? Is it better to play unplugged from the charger?

How do I get the earthquake ability?

I found all the yiga armor, went to the hideout near the waterfall and did the banana trial, and have been to the main hideout and talked to everyone, but I still haven’t got the earthquake ability.

What am I missing?

Ten years later, how do you look back on Dion Phaneuf as a Leaf? What is his legacy here?

Captain during arguably the most difficult time to be in that role, played 400+ games here over 7 years and was a fairly controversial figure at the time.

How do you look back on Phaneuf and what is his legacy in Toronto?

I woke up this morning and went to do my regular stretches, one of which is touching the floor with unbent knees. When I went to do it, I found that I couldn’t get all the way down and felt major pain in my lower back, just above my tailbone. Basically telling me not to go deeper or hold any longer or something would pop.

I’ve been doing a lot of running lately, which is the only cause I can think of.

I’d like to get my mobility back. What stretches can I do to loosen up that area?
