First night sober in over a year.

I'm an alcoholic. I drink every single day. For the last two years there was only one day where I didn't drink but other than that everyday was spent getting wasted. Two weeks ago I finally went to go see a new doctor. I opened up to her about what I've been doing to myself and how I needed help. She suggested a medication and I agreed to it. My first dose was Friday and I didn't feel anything, I drank as usual. Saturday and Sunday I noticed my cravings went down and I didn't drink nearly as much as I used to. (I drank 8 drinks in two days when usually it could be up to 18 in two days) today I got home from work early at around 4:30 I pulled a seltzer out of the fridge and sat with it for 2 hours before I decided to put it back in the fridge and drink my tea instead. I haven't had the strength to do this in years. I haven't spent a night sober in well over a year. I feel so fucking proud of myself. I really hope that this medication continues to work and I can spend more nights going to bed sober. I need to do this for my health, I need to do this for my daughter.

I start Naltrexone today.

I started drinking at 19, it was a lot but it was manageable but now I'm 32 and over the last 2 years I've been drinking every. single. day. I went to my doctor last week and I opened up to her that I'm an alcoholic so she prescribed me this medication. And I'm nervous about taking it. I'm nervous about reactions, and if I'm being 100% honest I'm nervous about letting go of the only thing that has brought me comfort these last 2 years. But I know I have to stop. My blood work came back for heavy alcohol use but imaging isn't necessary for the time. (I also have high cholesterol and high triglycerides.) So I know I need to stop while I'm ahead. I know this question probably gets asked a lot but can you tell me about your experience? I also know it's a red flag that I'm scared to let go of my alcohol but has anyone else felt that way before too?

Thank you!

Bleeding a year + after Kyleena insertion

A year + ago I got my hormonal IUD inserted, I haven't had any problems it's been good ever since. I haven't had any spotting until yesterday. I noticed that my underwear had black stains all over them I thought it was suspicious and it made me uncomfortable but I just washed them and went about my day. Today is the same but worse. There's black discharge on my shorts and when I wipe it's black. Is this normal? I won't see my doctor until September for my annual pap...

Is working for TjMaxx worth my mental health?

Long story short: I work full time and I need a part time job that can supplement my income if I don't get an extra job it won't kill me but I won't be comfortable. I have an interview tomorrow at HomeGoods but after reading these posts I'm not so sure. Should I just continue living on a very strict budget or should I give it a chance?

I have an interview at HomeGoods on Friday

And the reviews about working there is scaring me lol.

I have a full time job but the money isn't really enough so I've been applying at places for a part time job. I've been rejected by a lot of places because my schedule isn't flexible on the weekdays. On the weekends I'm open all day, but it's the weekday that gets me. Literally TODAY I applied at HomeGoods and I decided to call them and told them I was a full time employee looking for part time work and I was thinking about applying with them I told them my availability and if my schedule is something they could possibly work with the manager on the phone said "yes" I told him good because I already applied lol and then he scheduled me for an interview on Friday without looking at my application or asking about my experience....

After we hung up I decided to do a little research about working for them and it is all negative, which is concerning. Another thing I find concerning is how quick he scheduled me for an interview without knowing anything about me, other than my availability.

My question is to the employees and former employees should I run like everyone said I should or should I go to the interview and if I get the job should I give it a chance?

I don't need need the job, I can make it without it, it will just be hard. Ive been applying at places to make myself more comfortable but my sanity is more important, so if it's not worth it please tell me.
