At risk of failing because my 4th assignment got accused of AI.

4 assignments in this class I have received 0s on because it “seems like AI”

I explained to my professor my writing processes and how I will use AI as a tool to make sure I’m hitting everything on the rubric or to help me format things better, but the writing is all mine. I will sometimes use a suggestion AI gives me on improvement, but I do not just copy and paste it, I take its advice and write everything in my own words.

I asked my professor if there is anything I can do about the grades and they told me no, so I asked my advisor and they said the best thing I can do is to file a dispute as I have already done.

I’m just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with something like this before and how it was resolved. Thank you.

I slept with someone else after my breakup and now I’m struggling with guilt

My girlfriend (27F) and I (27M) were together for almost 2 years. We have been long distance, and over the last few months our relationship became really strained.

She felt like she was carrying the relationship, that I stopped putting in effort, and that I didn’t understand how unhappy she had become. I saw things differently at the time because we still talked every day, called, visited each other, and had plans for our future, but I now understand that my intentions didn’t change how she felt.

We had a serious conversation over a month ago where she said she thought she needed to walk away. We officially broke up but we had a trip planned shortly after and we agreed that I can still visit because she felt it would be better to talk through things in person. The trip actually went really well—we were affectionate, hugged, cuddled, and it felt like there was still a connection. However, we were still technically broken up. Since then, we would talk daily but things were so confusing to me

She recently told me she thinks she needs to walk away for good. I asked her to take a few days to think about it, and we have not talked for about a week.
Last night I went out drinking because I have been struggling with being alone. I met an older woman while out and was talking about the relationship looking for advice. She told me I needed to move on with my life and be free. After the night she offered to drive me home. She asked to come inside and we ended up having sex.

At the time, it felt nice. I was distracted. But this morning I woke up feeling awful and started crying. I don’t know what I was expecting to happen from that but it did the complete opposite. I feel dirty and feel like I cheated even though I’ve been single for a while. I realized I still love my ex and I don’t think I was actually ready to move on.

Now I feel guilty and ashamed. Part of me feels like I betrayed the person I still love, even though we weren’t together. Another part of me knows I was single and trying to cope with a breakup I didn’t want.
If my ex does decide she wants to try again, I don’t even know how I could look at her and tell her this happened.

Am I being too hard on myself? Should I view this as a mistake I made while hurting, or is this something that would permanently damage any chance of reconciliation?

TLDR: Tried moving on and it backfired. Full of shame and guilt now

Keep finding crickets in the house, around 5+ every night (Las Vegas, NV)

For the past few weeks I’ve been finding about 3–5 live house crickets inside my home every day.
I put down sticky traps a few nights ago, and have about 20ish crickets already on them. I also sprayed Ortho Home Defense around the exterior foundation and garage.

Any tips on getting rid of them would be greatly appreciated.

Also a quick note, this house is just a bit over a year old, I bought it brand new

Has anyone else in Vegas dealt with this? Did you eventually find where they were getting in? Was it the garage door, landscaping, irrigation, or something else?

Any tips that made a big difference would be appreciated.

How do you find motivation when heartbroken?

Currently going through a breakup and everyone’s advice is “just hit the gym”

How can I hit the gym when I have no motivation to even wake up and get out of bed? I can barely do anything besides sleep, go to work, struggle at work, come home and sleep.

My (M26) Long distance relationship with my girlfriend (F26) is falling apart after 2+ years, but we’re so close to the finish line

Long distance relationship falling apart after 2+ years, but we’re so close to the finish line

We’ve been in a long-distance relationship for a little over 2 years, and things are currently at a breaking point.

In person, our relationship is genuinely great. We’re very close, affectionate, inseparable when we’re together, and it feels effortless. But long distance has been really hard on both of us.

From her perspective, she feels like I don’t put in enough effort and that she isn’t a priority in the relationship. She’s told me multiple times that she feels alone in it and that things feel like they’ve been on autopilot.

From my perspective, I thought I *was* putting in effort. We talk every day (calls almost daily, constant texting), and I thought that consistency meant we were staying connected. But she says it feels like I’m not actively trying anymore.

A recent example: I suggested a date night where we cook the same meal together. She didn’t really respond clearly, and I assumed she wasn’t interested. Later she felt hurt that I didn’t follow through or check in more, and saw it as me not prioritizing her.

She’s now at a point where she’s saying she’s unhappy and “can’t do this anymore.”

What I’m struggling with is this:
I don’t feel like I stopped caring or trying but she genuinely feels emotionally alone in the relationship

We seem to interpret the same situations completely differently

It feels like the distance has made us both default into different expectations of what “effort” looks like, and it’s causing constant miscommunication.

My questions:
Is this a fixable long-distance dynamic issue, or does it usually mean incompatibility?

How do couples actually rebuild “effort” when both people think they’re already trying?

Is “feeling like a priority” something that can realistically be repaired after it’s been lost?

I’m trying to understand whether this is something that can be rebuilt, or if we’ve just reached the end of what long distance can handle.

**TL;DR:**
2+ year long-distance relationship is breaking down even though we talk daily. She feels neglected, I feel like I’ve been showing up consistently. We both think we’re trying, but she’s now saying she’s unhappy and wants out. I’m trying to understand what went wrong and whether this is fixable.

My girlfriend (F26) and I (M26) relationship is really struggling, what are some ways to get a spark back?

My relationship is struggling a bit, for those that hit rough patches, how did you reignite the spark in the relationship?

We’ve been in a LDR for almost 2 years now, and the goal was for me to propose this August right around our 2 year mark, she will be moving here in February and the distance will finally be done.

However, the relationship is really struggling. Constant arguing and communication mishaps, resentment is building up and we both agree we seem more like friends right now instead of the happy bubbly couple we once were. She said she is considering breaking up but really does not want to, but she did ask for a few days of space to clear her mind after yesterday’s argument before making an irrational decision.

Our relationship is literally perfect when we’re together in person, but the distance is tearing everything apart. Is there anything possible I could do with her to get that spark back?

How can I (M26) open up to my girlfriend (F26) about my porn addiction?

Me and my girlfriend have been together for just about 2 years now, we’ve had a great relationship and I feel like it’s slowly falling apart due to my porn/sex addiction.

To start, I was introduced to porn at an early age, I would say around 8 years old when my neighbor (also 8) introduced me to it. We would watch it all the time together and even try to reenact what was happening in the videos. When we got caught we were in big trouble but that didn’t stop us, we were hooked.

Eventually we moved away and I lost contact, but that didn’t stop me. Everyday after school I’d go in the bathroom for up to an hour just so I can get off to porn. Multiple times a day. I still am doing this now as a 26 year old. Get home from work, watch porn, few hours go by, watch it again. I tried to stop but the most I’ve been able to go has been a few days. I’m not gay but sometimes I’ll even watch gay or trans porn just to see something different, then after I’m wondering why I even watched it.

Where I think it’s affecting the relationship is me objectifying women, and I believe that’s coming from my porn addiction. People I work with, people I see out doing whatever, I just imagine what it would be like to have sex with them. Before I met her, I would have sex with whoever I could, and if I couldn’t find someone out at a bar or whatever, I’d turn to prostitution. Seeing threesomes in porn led me to wanting that in my life, so I’ve had many with prostitutes and even a 6 way once.

I also believe I have a sex addiction to this, whenever I’m with my girlfriend, I am just constantly fully erect trying to have sex with her. She says it’s annoying and it seems like all I want is sex no matter what. I agree with her. I want to talk to a therapist about this to get the help that I need, as it’s been making me super guilty and me pushing boundaries in my relationships. I do not want it to end with me cheating or doing anything I’d regret.

Before I talk to a therapist, I’m looking for advice on how to bring it up to her. I don’t want to hide this from her anymore but I have no idea where to even start with telling her.

TLDR: porn/sex addiction is slowly ruining my relationship. I’m pushing boundaries that I shouldn’t be pushing and need to stop. How can I bring this up to her?
