996tt clutch feel

Has anyone found a fix of the clutch feel.  I have a new to me 996tt with a very stiff clutch which I have recipes from the previous owner who replaced the clutch 20k miles ago with a GT2 clutch and dual mass flywheel, and also repalced
- Clutch replacement (Flywheel, Clutch disk, slave cylinder, accumulator) @28k miles

clutch is very stiff and has no real clutch feel, no engagement or biting point.  Clutch engages almost at the top of the pedal.  I have messed with the assist spring and changed to the mcmaster assist spring.

Very easy to stall and makes taking off in first gear very difficult. Otherwise a very fine car to drive.

any idea.  Looking into getting the BBi slave cylinder replacement. But want to know if anyone else has had this issues and any obvious fix or upgrade ?

Hilton garden in Redding CA

Terrible experience.

Got 2 rooms for 2 nights 7/17-7/19. Arrived on 7/17 at 4:30pm to be notified our rooms were not ready. We were understanding but with 2 small children and a pregnant wife looking to wash off from a day at the water parks. Nope, They told us we would have to wait 1-2 hours before our rooms would be ready. This was pretty unfortunate since they stated they had cleaning staff not show and were greatly understaffed.

Night one of room 233, above us was pacing, thumping and ponding all night. Started around 10:00pm went to around 1:00am was very hard to sleep, even with the Ac trying to drowned it out. We initially through is was construction above but through it was remodeling and just sucked it up and dealt with it. It started again around 3am, then again at 6:00am. Not sure what was going on but it woke us up almost every hour.

We left very early that morning since we had a long drive to meet up with family otherwise I would have asked for a new room. We were also very hopefully that whatever was going on above us would not be there the next night. WRONG

Night two of 223 was the exact same. Posted is a video of the second night at 1:19am.

Today at check out I complaint about our stay for the lobby staff, for her to seem apologetic and say I remember you from the late check in, and offered a free breakfast.

Nope we were so ready to get out of there asap and get home.

This is probably one of the worst hotel stays I can remember.

I used points from my credit card so maybe they wanted to give us the reject room. Pretty unfortunate.

Will not be staying with Hilton again.

Best place to sell collection

Curious on where the best place to sell an entire collection? This is mostly singles, mostly pack fresh and straight into sleeves. A few sealed products.

Some vintage base set and fossil.
I used to sell on eBay but got scammed, I would rather sell the lot and be done. Have a baby on the way and need to move on.

What’s the going rate on selling a lot like this? 60-70% value?

French drain failure?

This French drain was redone in September 2025 by a local company. Coming from our downspout. It has lifted to the surface and starting to separate.

Suns out, funs out 996tt

Finally able to take This out for a morning drive. This and the R8 have some of the best lines.

Call me crazy but I like the look and esthetics of the 996tt better than the 997tt. Something about the side vents on the 997tt looks off to me.

I was debating buying this or an R8. Glad I chose the P-car.

Guess that color?

My payment and income have been pretty stagnant for the last 8 years and payment was $900… I recertified for IBR and my payment 4X to $3,800/month. What is going on.?

I graduated from undergrad in 2010, and professional school in 2015.

Apparently under IBR I will pay 25 years, at 15% my income.

I was under the impression when I graduated it would be 10% for 20 years. And PSLF is not possible due to my field.

My income went up some, But did not quadruple….
What happened this year?
