Spoilers

Okay, so spoilers.

All spoilers.

Potential spoilers.

I played through Breath of Fire 3 (just got to the end tonight) and it isn't my 1st time playing through the game, or the series, but particularly at the end, instead of clarifying everything, I feel my grasp on what's going on slipped considerably.

Myria is the same from Breath of Fire 1 & 2, right? Its implied that she is, with the mural depicting the original crew, but all the events of the game make if feel like this was a prequel-sequel like Dragon Quest 3: it actually happens before the original game. The original game has Ryu1 eliminate all the other Dragons (except himself and possibly the 3 or 4 old people in his town, who don't seem very draconic) so where did all the "new" dragons come from for Myria to genocide? Is the buried city from BoF2 who repopulated the dragon population?

Also, Bleu=Deis and it was poor localization, correct? So Deis is also a pseudo-diety the same as Myria? And also presumably Yggradsil? And Ladon? Who is the absolute God that Myria calls out to after she's defeated?

After the game, there's a song with actual lyrics in a language that I don't understand. Does that song have anything to do with the game? Should I translate it?

Also, at the end, the surviving members of the group are in a desert, overlooking more desert. I am believing this is the Desert of Death and not the entire world. Also Yggdrasil planted itself somewhere in said desert? Is there any kind of explanation for any of the events immediately following the end of this game?

TIA

Walls

I want to make my basement/garage into a multiple room haunted house instead of just 1 giant room. What are some ways to create a temporary wall?

Please?

Is there a reason everyone keeps posting the "name a thing and I'll tell you what award it would have won in Roger Rabbit" thing? Like the last week that's all I've seen. Should I post it too? Is that what we're doing now?

Shishu Minigame

Every time I play through this fantastic game, I always get to the point where you get the boat, and then the Mayor doesn't want to eat fish, but I can't seem to get the woman to tell me how she makes shishu. I spend more time trying to understand how to get this minigame quest to start than I do actually playing the quest!

So the secret, spoilers ahoy, is that you try to boat into the ocean, then you can play the the game like how it makes sense in the first place.

That is all.

New Game +

What is the earliest game that features a mechanic where once a player wins and finishes the game, they can start again, keeping levels/items/upgrades from their previous run(s)?

I'll start with Chrono Trigger, 1995

Lego my Conspiracy

Its for The Church (one of them) and its funny how they are showing world leaders as Lego toy and puppets, but I'm 100% sure they're not at all affiliated and I'm 100% sure not amount of Illuminati money would buy Lego to agree to something like this.

Mega Man 8

Mega Man 8 is my favorite game in the classic series. The designs are interesting, the bosses are varied, the weapons are useful and also have stage uses. I dislike the jump/slide stuff, but I just feel like there's a bit of lag or something during these parts. Is 1 autoscroller enough to condemn a game?

Do they eat?!

Can (any version) of (any) Robot Master or Reploid or whatever "get fat" or "go on a diet" or are they just made a specific shape and that's exactly how they are (until Capcom changes their design) forever?

When the Ultimate Weapon isn't

I was playing Dragon Quest 3 (mobile) and thinking about if Evasion is better than damage reduction.

Then I thought about how in so many games (especially RPGs) there's the Legendary Ultimate Weapon that everyone seems to have a hard-on over, and it's usually locked behind a quest... and then you get it, and its good with damage or can use to cast a spell, or deals better damage against XYZ, but there's some other weapon that is just flat out better.

DQ2 has Erdrick's Sword (from the original and 3rd games) and it's good, but it also has a much better Sword that just laying on the ground. Or whenever there's a Falcon Sword available for purchase there's no reason to equip anything else, because double attacks beats any damage increase, but you have twice the chance for that character to land a critical hit. And that's nit even mentioning the Wrecking Flail, Destructiball, Rubiss Sword that "regularly" shows up and makes everything else look like a joke.

Shining Force has the Chaos Breaker, but Doom Blades deal more damage, have better crit chance and have better crit damage (despite the lower attack boost)

So, with all that said, does it bother anyone that games hype up 1 particular thing and you could just buy something better at the store?

Saw a post about someone who never played offline finally trying it. It actually got me thinking about how I rarely play online. Is there a way to start playing a game with other people? Like, is there etiquette or rules about certain classes/builds? It seems like something fun I would like to try aside from getting rushed to higher difficulty for better drops.
