I am neck deep in numberblock content. Both my kids are obsessed. I mean, you know. My 8 year old is bugging us to buy the 300 dollar classroom set. My younger child somehow loves numberblock 282(and has already made it out of paper and sleeps with it). So anyway, I made numberblock mathcube links in TinkerCad so I could 3d print them at will. (I spent a lot of time makeing these things as perfect as possible!) I'm sure some of you are in the same boat, so I'm sharing the files on makerworld and thingyverse. godspeed~

hello world! I updated the design of these hanging SWP's (more robust), added some sizes and added Wide Mouth Mason Jar threads! Lots of trial and error, but I think these designs are really good!

(free for downloading and 3d printing, not sure if I can add links because of self-promo rules but I'll add them in the comments so the bot/mod doesn't erase the post.)
This pot design solves a few problems. First it's easy to clean the reservoir, you can un-thread the jar (uses a generic 3 inch, salsa/jam/pasta) without disturbing the plant, hanger or trellis. Huuuge pain solved! Second it cannot be over filled, the pot uses a gyroid infill texture on the walls, kind of like a mesh - so the pot is completely permeable (AND AIRY). I can leave it outside in the rain and not worry about over saturating the plant. Third, I finally have a good use for all these jars I normally throw out/recycle. anyway, I'm really excited to see how my plants like it. I think most epiphytes would like it. (hoyas, orchids) I just repotted my clem and pot of gold this morning.
I also made a simple device to put together a wire hanger and it's also available to d/l and print. (uses 14 gauge wire and a bike spoke or 11 gauge for the hook)
(yes! I am making other sizes and threads (mason jar threads 5" pot soon). Also open to suggestions and recommendations and brain storming.)

As far as I know - hoyas love AIR. also I can leave it outside in the rain and not worry about over saturating the plant. Just throwing this out there. buy out is imminent. little bird out-
I recently got a 3d printer and have been deep diving into this little SWP project. Eventually I want to size up all my hoyas from their diy SWP/pon setups. So I've been thinking about what I'd want in a perfect pot:
looks a little strange but I think this design will grow on me. This is basic PLA but I think there might be a better choice(exposure to UV). also very much still a wip, I'll share the STL files once I feel like it's been perfected/tested - best prints with no supports etc... (undulata for tax)
Saw this on a well traveled path, high possibility someone planted it - but wondering if anyone can id this.
Noticed some interesting nodes on my lacunosa 'black super silver' (not actually very silver). Looks like two very compact nodes followed by one normal internodal spacing. The vine actually has 3 of these. The last two are what caught my attention. Wonder if this could be a mutation. Anyway, will keep an eye on this-
also if I shine a green laser into my iris will that make my eyes hazel? (no medical advise please)
Bnfd. Gilded Tower 'Mystic Maze' is developing a seedpod.(self pollenated) From everthing I gather - these are pretty difficult to germinate and I'm not sure if it's worth it for me. Is there any demand for seed pods?
Sometimes plants can surprise you. This is (was) an all green prop from my variegated golden dragon. (Not a mottled dragon) unsure if this is similar to mottled dragon mutation. There are gog speckels on another leaf so there's a lot going on with this plant. Thought it was worth shareing.
Just wondering if anyone knows what is causing this strange pattern on the leaves. It's intermitten and not due to the light because the vine grew one shelf up to low light and it did the same thing. Leaves feel normal
This kinda came to me as a shower though as I was brainstorming some names for a couple of my seedlings. I imagine there's gotta be people out there that would like to name a plant. Like something commemorative or after a loved one. One of said hoyas for tax;
MV2523 A(Ovailfolia x unk) opened up today. First bloom from this pod I believe. This particular seedling is the most vigorous out of the few I have. The blooms smell is strong, pleasant, floral, sweet. Very much like verticillata. I do believe that this probably has both verticillata parents if not self pollenated.
ID request. Are these Good King Henry(Chenopodium bonus-henricus)?? I bought some seeds off amazon and now that they've germinated I'm not so sure they are correct ID. anyone grow these from seed before?
This is a 2 month update from my last post. One seedling appears to be much more vigorous then the others, at least twice as big. Also the internodes/culms appear to be a dark purple(unlike any of the other seedlings that are still mostly green). It's starting to put out multiple growths. No thorns yet- If you don't hear back from me in 2 months... the bamboo probably got me and is on it's way to take over the world
