Hades Breaching Drill - Am I Reading This Right?
Hi everyone.
I've got a couple of Hades Breaching Drills in my collection, unassembled, that I bought when they first came out as I loved the look of the models.
I was looking over their rules this evening, as I'm thinking of finally gluing and painting them up, and found what could be some abusable rules text.
Their special ability, Subterranean Assault, states, "Each time you set up this model on the battlefield using the Deep Strike ability, you can select one friendly Astra Militarum Infantry unit in Strategic Reserves. If you do, set up that unit anywhere on the battlefield that is wholly within 9" of this model and more than 8" away from all enemy units."
If I use this ability to deploy a unit from Strategic Reserves, can I then make a normal move with that unit?
The usual rule preventing a unit from moving after deploying from an Ingress Move is covered in the Ingress Move rules themselves (20.04), where it states, "AFTER MOVING: Unless otherwise stated, until the start of the next Charge phase, your unit is not eligible to make any other type of move." However, the unit deployed using the Subterranean Assault rule never made an Ingress Move.
Am I missing something here?
ETA: for people saying the rules haven't been updated for 11th, why is it that the deploying unit can be 8" away from enemies? That seems like an 11th edition update to me.
2nd Edit: The previous version of the rule states, "Subterranean Assault: Each time you set up this model on the battlefield using the Deep Strike ability, you can select one friendly Astra Militarum Infantry unit in Strategic Reserves. If you do, set up that unit anywhere on the battlefield that is wholly within 9" of this model and more than 9" away from all enemy units." So it has been updated for 11th.
