Alaska Credit Cards: Are they worth it for me?
Hi! I live in Seattle and fly to Hawaii 1-2x per year with a friend. I fly to Vegas/California maybe 7x per year (both solo and with a friend).
I do usually have at least one checked bag, but will book first if it is only 100-200 more per leg.
I'm trying to increase my comfort, so I don't want to do inconvenient stuff to try to get perks (red eye flights, weird days, etc). Also, Alaska lounges would be at best a fallback for me.
I'm not sure I understand and can pencil out the perks. For example, the flight I am looking at one way from Hawaii would be 96k points. So, the 25k "companion" points don't seem that valuable since I wouldn't even have the extra needed to actually buy the companion ticket? Thoughts? Thank you!
