Where to purchase zebra skink?

Hey all! I have a spare 40g enclosure, and am looking to get a handle able lizard. Right now I have a crested gecko and a bearded dragon, and skinks seem like a lot of fun! From the bit of research I did, the 40 gallon would be much too small for a blue tongue, but would potentially work for a zebra skink, which appears to be a nice middle ground between the blue tongue skink and some of the smaller skink species? Would appreciate any advice or just talking about your experience with skinks (and zebra skinks for anyone who keeps them) for someone who is potentially interested in exploring a new type of lizard!

Done growing?

She hatched June 2024…. she seems pretty small for an adult, so I was wondering if everyone thinks she’s done growing or if she still has room to get bigger

Edit: just weighed her and she is 21g

It’s insane how quick they grow

Just got my guy 3 months ago today, and it’s been awesome to see him grow from a juvenile to a subadult these past 3 months… hoping for many more years with him 🍻

I removed the back cork wall because I could not tell if she was getting stuck back there or not… is this enough coverage for her? Rn she’s sitting on top of the foliage

Hey all! My crestie gave me a scare yesterday thinking she somehow escaped and I found her hours later behind her back wall that is put together with thin pieces of cork bark. Today I am looking in her enclosure and once again cannot find her. I’m going to assume that she’s behind the backdrop as she was definitely in her enclosure eating last night. Should I remove the cork bark wall if it is giving her a place to hide? Or leave it?

Hey all! I fed my gecko last night and watched her eat. When I went to remove her food this morning, I did not see her anywhere. The cage was locked, so I didn’t think anything of it. When I got home from work this afternoon, I pulled everything out of the enclosure and raked through the moss and substrate at the bottom, and did not feel her down there. I am super worried she may have somehow escaped. I put a cup of food in the enclosure for her and locked it, and put a box in the middle of the floor in my room with another cup of food. I am hoping she is somewhere in here. I have blackout window curtains, so I turned off the light and her UVB hoping that will draw her out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I currently have a crested and a bearded dragon, thinking about adding another reptile to the family. Is there a way to convert this? If not, what would you recommend to house in here?

Petsmart lists as 19.5”x37.5”x19.25”

Is there a way to convert to a vertical? Or what would you do this? Leachies sound cool but seems impossible to make it work with this tank.
