Anyone else suffer mental health problems?

Designated gifted as a child, always been very eccentric and odd to most people, did gifted programs, excelled at schooling until late high school then went off the rails, later diagnosed with multiple co morbid mental health problems.

Anyone else like this?

Anyone else studying psychoanalysis purely for themselves with no realistic path to practice?

As per title, I’ve always been interested in mental health/therapy having been a recipient of it myself, picked up an introductory collection of Freuds works and have been thoroughly enjoying the learning (as an autodidact), however, routes to professional study and practice in Australia are incredibly cost and time prohibitive.

Up to 5 years of 3-5x a week intensive analysis whilst working full time, parenting children and mortgage, impossible, to top it off it costs an absurd amount of money (potentially over 100k), and then once you’ve done that you’ll end up just analysing other analysts and not the public because it’s so niche in my country.

What’s a person to do? Is there any route for just private theoretical study? It’s not like Freud was analysed himself.

Repost as I didn’t have enough karma!

Sertraline activation

Bit of backstory, I underwent a mental health crisis a few years ago (long story, one of many unfortunately!) and was doing therapy alongside being prescribed sertraline, I used to take Lexapro for a decade but weened myself off of for various reasons many years ago. Day one, no problem, day two, blurry vision, dilate pupils, racing thoughts and running around couldn’t sit still, jerky movement and then a full blown panic attack so I couldn’t sleep or rest and constantly ruminating, it was incredibly scary so I stopped taking it.

Tried Lexapro again a few months after this as it seemed to work in the past and the same thing happened, anyone else experience this? My doctor then subsequent psychiatrist both dismissed my experience and refused to elaborate as to why, which was incredibly frustrating and upsetting.

Identity politics

Why does every single quote Marxist unquote, seemingly make social ethics into a dogmatic belief of Marxism? Gender identity, gay marriage, intersectionality etc. when it has nothing to do with the economic political system of Marx, as evidently shown by its real historical established political entities, regardless of what some theorists may say.

Why can’t I post on many subs?

Feels like wherever I post Reddit keeps removing everything? Is it because I have a new account? I created it to ask questions so it seems counterintuitive.
