I complained to GM about OnStar's lack of knowledge on the free 8 years OnStar Basic plan, and they sent me this.

I called OnStar and they told me this is affecting lot of Canadian customers and OnStar is working on it. Basically no Google Maps. New music streaming is working
The Anti-slip mat for the 2027 Bolt LT - fits nicely and things don't slip anymore
I just found this on AliExpress:

GM support says that the Onstar Basic for 2027 Chevy Bolt (not talking about older bolts) is good for navigation etc but needs extra data plan to stream music. My music is still working, but I want them to understand that they are providing wrong information. How can we get this fixed for all fellow 27 Bolt owners?
I have 8 years of free Onstar Basic. Google Maps and YT Music stopped working, so I contacted Onstar. They were unable to resolve the issue at the time but said they would call me back. That was fine. About an hour later, after I restarted the infotainment system, everything began working again.
Forward 2 days, i was driving and got a call from GM EV concierge.
According to the agent, Onstar Basic does not include data. To use online features like Google Maps, YouTube, or Spotify, I would need to either purchase an Onstar data plan or use my phone's data connection.
At that point, everything was functional, but I hadn't informed them it was working fine with Onstar Basic. Instead, I questioned their information, stating they were providing incorrect details. They consulted with two different Onstar agents and their own Tier 2 agent, and subsequently claimed I required data.
Even on the Onstar website, the Basic plan includes streaming music and live traffic etc. but all of them refused to acknowledge that it can work without data.
I wish there was a clarity provided to the staff else customers who give up easily might get scammed by these types of staff
I was looking for Matte or Anti-Glare screen for 2027 Bolt and found this. Its bit pricey and wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

I am getting mixed answers for this: On the new 2027 Bolt with Google Built-in, while you are talking on the phone, does the navigation voice get muted by itself or not? Dealership says it cannot since AAOS doesn't know you are talking on the phone. Another brand with Google built-in confirmed the navigation voice gets muted while a phone call is going on. Can someone please confirm?
I have set it up to download.

I am on Pixel 10 Pro XL Stable Android 17 with June update for Play As well. On AOD, its just Date and day that gets displayed, no weather or events. It started happening today.
Anyone else seeing the same behavior?
I wanted to get car play on my Bolt and saw other people talking about this USB adapter called EV Play on various forums. This costs $200, and I was a bit hesitant in the beginning, but I found out they have a 30-day return policy, so I thought I would just jump in.
The adapter is easy to use and got me going under 10 minutes.
Here are steps if someone is interested to see how it works:
1. Once you place your order, head over to the EV Play website and create an account.
2. On your Bolt's infotainment screen
Open the Play Store on your Bolt and download the app called EV Play LT.
3. The App will show up with the name EV Play LT.
4. Open the EV Play LT app, click to allow the requested permissions, and log in using the account you created on the website
5. On your iPhone, open your Bluetooth settings. Look for the adapter's name (which will be displayed on the Bolt's screen) and pair your phone to it.
6. A pop-up will appear on your Bolt asking to allow the EV Play LT app to access the EVP-LT adapter. Click OK.
7. Finally, tap "Allow" on the CarPlay prompt that pops up on your iPhone screen.
That’s it! CarPlay will now launch in full screen on your Bolt’s display.
I really wish GM had just given us this option by default, but what can you do! Looks like I’ll definitely be keeping this adapter. 😊
EDIT: Sorry, forgot to post the link to the website: https://evplay.io/
Anyone used the couple of glass screen guards available for the infotainment? Are they any good with fingerprints?
As the title says on my Onstar Basic plan, free for 8 years, i have Onstar Basic, Connected Access & EV Access. So all i get with the Connect Plus ($19.99/month) is the ability to turn my car into hotspot for everyone else to get Internet access. Otherwise everything else looks good, i could even play YouTube Video on my car with the Basic plan.
I have a 2027 bolt. One annoying issue is that while I am using Google maps navigation and if a phone call comes through (phone connected via Bluetooth), the Google Maps navigation volume doesn't get muted... Have you experienced the same issue? I couldn't find a solution other than muting the navigation manually. With Android Auto, this is not an issue.
Thanks!!!
Can Someone please help with the below two issues:
When navigation is ON while i answer a call, why does navigation sound doesn't go mute? In Android auto, it always go mute while on phone calls.
If YouTube music is playing, i get out of the car, come back in the music plays for a split second and the start up chime takes over. The music then doesn't autoplay, i must resume it from the screen or press the button behind the steering wheel to change the track to start the music.
This is my first EV. Is it safe to charge to 100% each time or should I limit it to 80%? I heard Tesla has the same battery tech and they usually do 100%.
