Is this a bug, or do they just deal absurd damage in Phase 4? That’s twice now I’ve literally been insta-killed from a laser, ending a really good run. It happened before with higher health.

This was such a fun run. Gained some really good artefacts & damage bonuses to stack with, plenty of Integrity Upgrades & then I just get one shot by a laser. I do believe it was one of those enemies I had literally just killed who spam their laser around the arena, but I didn’t even see it get booted up, nor where it came from 🤣 has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve been keeping you all updated along my journey with Returnal. From finally beating Phrike, all the way up to reaching Biome 5. Well today, I did what I never thought I could & finally cleared Biome 6 & defeated the final Boss. I have no words.

After struggling for so, so long, even posting the day before about how I lost one of my best runs, I managed to tackle my way through Abyssal Scar, kill Ophion, and complete the game. I literally have no words for how I feel right now, I never knew a video game could make me feel so many different emotions. Adrenaline, anger, anxiety, frustration, sad, happy. All of them. It’s actually insane, I’ve never played a game like it.

To all the Scouts who have given up or lose motivation because of the difficulty, please stick it out, it’s a 10/10 masterpiece like I genuinely cannot fault the game, one of the best I’ve ever played. It took me between 30-35 hours to clear all Biomes, a gruelling set of hours honestly, it’s not been easy. However, I will be forever happy I picked up the game again!

I guess my biggest question is… what now? I know I have the Tower to grind, & maybe the Platinum too. Is there anything else I’m missing base game wise? I don’t want it to be over just yet 🤣

A gentle reminder that even the best of runs can be over just like that, & it’s okay to fail. I was gutted, but these guys have no business doing that much damage. I understand it’s the last Biome, but my God.

I think this run was around 1.5-2 hours. I had a few healing glyph consumables & an Astronaut Minifigure, maxed out all of the Integrity upgrades that were just so unfortunately ‘wasted’ I guess. I was super tired and I just wasn’t expecting this big ass mini boss to pop up like that. Caught me off guard & I panicked. I really don’t think depleting my health like that is needed 🥲

I was devastated of course but we continue pushing nonetheless, I’m really happy I even made it this far into Abyssal Scar. This game is testing my limits more than I thought it would. Although it sucks, you just gotta grind it out man.

I am so close to the final boss it’s actually making me anxious, I can’t wait to update all of you when I finally defeat him.

Am I actually stuck in Echoing Ruins until I completely finish the game?

So, both Echoing Ruins & Fractured Wastes are tuff… I’m getting it handed to me left right and centre, I love it! But my question is, I had a much easier time in Biome 3 due to the fact I was able to farm B1 & 2 to get a lot more resources & health leading up to B3. I’m guessing since B4 is my new spawn point, I can’t travel through early Biomes to stand a better chance?

I’ve read online that you must complete B6 to unlock time travel ie early Biomes, but doesn’t the fact that you’ve already beaten the final boss negate the need to travel back to early Biomes? I understand it for collectible items and trophies, but is my only option to soldier through from B4?

In Saros, you’re obviously given the opportunity to teleport to a Biome of your choice, is that not the case here?

I hope all of this makes sense, thank you!

Okay, so, I’ve made it to Biome 5 & I honestly can’t believe it given how much I struggled at the start. I have loved every second, I went from not making any progress at all to not wanting the game to end. Full circle.

When I first picked this game up I had no idea I would be able to make it this far, all the rage inducing deaths have been so worth it. I genuinely don’t want the game to end.

Which leads me to say that I really hope Biome 5 & 6 pack an absolute punch, because dare I say Hyperion was a bit of a pushover? I’ve found all bosses incredibly hard up to yet, but Hyperion was over in minutes. Weapon Trait Level 19, sure, but? Just my honest opinion. Nemesis however, was peak cinema, I’m excited to see the final 2 bosses.

Anyway, I’m super proud of myself for getting this far, I love this game so much. Onto Fractured Wastes 🫡

After many devastating defeats, Totenreich is complete. Now I can finally play the map.

This has to be my favourite EE in BO7 by far, it’s sooo good. The steps aren’t too tedious, the Wonder Weapon is super fun, challenging boss, ticks all the boxes. I wasn’t really big into EEs since BO3 but since it was all I had left to do in BO7 Zombies I thought why not, & I’m so glad I did!

Once you begin to learn the EE steps by heart it gets really fun & addictive. Can anyone let me know if there’s any good Relics I should be trying to get from Totenreich? Excited to search for them!

My new favourite camo in BO7. “QWERTY” from getting Prestige Master Level 250 with the Flatline Mk II

Well worth the grind, this is probably my favourite Level 250 camo apart from Void Stripe. Been wanting this one for a while, it suits BO7s aesthetic really well & so far the camo pairs well with just about all blueprints out there, & operators too.

If you’re on the fence about grinding the Flatline, do it. I love QWERTY & I’ll be using it for a while. Road to Cold Snap. Let me know what you want to see next & which weapon you’re currently grinding.

I’ve never played a game more satisfying & rewarding than Returnal man. The adrenaline rush you get from these bosses is unmatched, thank god for my minifigure!

For some context, I posted a while ago now about how I finally defeated Phrike after months & months of struggling, I felt incredible. Afterwards, I put the game down. No particular reason, I just had other games to play at the time. Crimson Wastes was the furthest I had ever gotten, I remember playing around in the Biome for about 20 minutes, then dipping.

So after playing Saros for many hours I just had an extreme itch to go back to Returnal. My god I’m so happy I did, it’s exactly what I needed. Must of died over 50 times just getting used to the game again, but that’s okay, it’s part of the game. I muscled on & eventually found my way to Ixion for the first time ever. What a phenomenal fight, I absolutely loved it. As you can see it was a close call, I haven’t felt my heart beat that fast in ages. Palms were sweaty. I genuinely think the adrenaline rush you get from these games overtakes any Souls game, idk, there’s no game no like it.

Super excited now I’ve finally got my Grapple & made it to Biome 3. The fight is a bit rusty on my end, so apologies in advance. But thank the Lords for the extra life minifigure, literally saved a 1.5 hour run.

Understanding Cursed Mode in BO7

Okay, so. I recently completed the Paradox Junction Easter Egg in Directed Mode. I went in solo, because trying to find a public squad that will do it together & actually stay in the map is abysmal. My first ever EE completion since BO3.

Anyway, I’ve never ever touched Cursed Mode before. But I was very interested since seeing some of the Trials & Relics and how much fun it can be once you hit Tier III. When finding out you had to complete at least one EE to unlock Relics, I chose PJ because it seemed to be the easiest.

The only thing is, I have no clue what to do now. So since I’ve only completed the PJ quest, can I now only find Relics within PJ? can I even unlock Relics at all since it was done in Directed Mode? If I can, how do I unlock them? Can I make it to Tier III? Do I need to complete all EE on every map to unlock them? I know, I have so many questions because Cursed is brand new to me, but I really want to get into it.

Any help at all is massively appreciated. I think once I understand what to do I’ll enjoy it more! Thank you.

What’s the best button to remap Alt-Fire? I generally don’t use Alt-Fire that often because most of the time, while under pressure, I accidentally use my power weapon instead & it just gets wasted. Is there a different setup I can use to stop this?

My dash is currently bind to L1 which feels really good. R1 for shield & melee, the rest I believe are default. Since starting Saros I’ve tried really hard to get used to Alt-Fire, & in certain situations I’m really comfortable holding the trigger down half way. But when it comes to boss fights, Nightmare Strands or just tough areas in general I will 9 times out of 10 accidentally use my power weapon instead my Alt-Fire. & it’s just a waste really, so I wondered what setups you guys use or if there’s a good way to remap it so I don’t get too confused by muscle memory.

Really confused about Biomes. Which one to start from & which ones force return to Passage.

Okay, so. Yesterday I did a Biome 2 - 5 run, got overpowered as hell with Proficiency level 60+. Only to be forced to return to the Passage after Blighted Marsh. My goal at the time was to get OP so I could overcome Architect, but I didn’t even reach him, I was vexed after having spend 1.5 hours during a single run.

Afterwards, I just went straight to Desecrated Fortress and made it to Architect with what I found in the Biome, luckily I ended up beating him (what a fantastic boss by the way, probably my favourite so far). & now, I have finally made it through Black Damn to Acolytes Haven.

My biggest concern & question is, what Biome do I actually start from now if I want to become overpowered along the way? Because if I have to return to Passage in Biome 5, then anything before that seems pointless if I want to tackle endgame. Or, now I’ve beaten Architect, can I now pass through Biome 5? I’m so confused, any help would be appreciated.

This was my best run so far, it’s ridiculous how overpowered you can get. It was a blast, I love this game and now I’m excited to go back to Returnal.

I’ll admit, I was using a couple of protection modifiers. Increased weapon damage and easier to perform a perfect reload. But I also used maximum corruption, loss of artefact upon reaching a new Biome, & increased hostile damage. It felt really balanced for me personally, kept the challenge alight while also deleting bosses within minutes (after a few attempts learning their moves).

Since Saros has been a lot more approachable & easier to get into, I really want to go back to Returnal. Now I understand the game mechanics and how Biomes work I think I’ll enjoy it a lot more. I’ve only ever gotten to Crimson Wastes & just gave up because it was either too hard or I just didn’t know what to do. But thanks to Saros I feel a lot more confident, even if it is more unforgiving.

The Sun is forever.

The AN-94 Master Prestige camo “Abducted”

I suppose a video would have done it more justice because it’s animated, so apologies in advance. But I love this camo, a lot. Although it doesn’t glow as much as I thought it would, well worth the grind. If you could even call it that, smashed it out over the Double XP weekend & used a few tokens, easy money.

Had to cop this one since it’s apparently a tribute to 2009s MW2 emblem Abduction, so how I could I not?

Cold Snap camo is still so far away. I don’t think I’ll ever reach it unless I start going for Level 250 camos I don’t even like. We’ll see 🤣

I for one will actually be really sad when BO7s support is over. This is my favourite CoD in years, & it’s such a shame it received bad reception because of the Campaign.

I genuinely wish BO7 was receiving a second year of support. With Season 5 nearing & MW4 getting closer, I find myself looking back through my time playing BO7 & realising just how much fun I’ve had & been having, still.

If it wasn’t for the Campaign being admittedly dog water I don’t think this game would have received the hate it did. Granted, this timeline of CoD isn’t everyone’s cup of tea ie futuristic, robots, wall running/jumping etc, I completely understand that. But let’s ignore the Campaign & focus on 3 incredible modes they’ve given us this year. Multiplayer is fun, Endgame is a great addition, & BO7 is shaping up to be one of the best games for Zombies since BO3 in my opinion.

Hundreds & hundreds of camos & challenges to grind for, weapon prestige, prestige master challenges. I cannot fault the content drop this year, to me they have given us more than enough to play & keep busy.

It’s CoD, of course they still get things wrong. Cheaters, lag, disconnecting lobbies (though I’m fortunate to have a better experience it seems, maybe good internet?) content & gameplay wise I think it’s been amazing, & I’ll absolutely continue playing BO7 even when MW4 drops. What about you guys?

I got bored of the ION so I’ve been trying out the Akimbo KOGOT instead, they’re a lot of fun to use. My first time tackling the Zursa completely solo, shame about the Exotic choice, though.

I was hoping for a Reboot, Hypersurge or Redline. It’s okay though, I’ll prestige soon anyways. Just wanted to showcase the Akimbo KOGOT. If you haven’t already, give them a try.

Current set up is Eagle Eye, Bulldozer & Guardian. Exotics are Fission III & Echo Shell II. Nightmare: Chaos Rounds. Super fun build, I’ll be sad to see it go.

u/MattStanni99 — 1 month ago

This is the most hilarious, dumb, & brain dead thing they’ve added so far. & you know what, it might not be the strongest, but I’m having an absolute blast.

This attachment has came in absolutely clutch since the ION is the next weapon I want to get to Level 250, I love the Snake Eyes camo. Things have just gotten a lot easier. It’s a shame the attachment doesn’t do absurd damage, but I also understand they have to keep it balanced.

If spray & pray was a gun, it would be this. Switch off your brain & hold R2, watch the numbers & kills rack up.

Severely worried about my Mum’s financial situation. Me (M27) & my partner (F26) have been accepted for a house, but my mum cannot afford the current property on her own without me. This a long one, so I apologise in advance.

Firstly, apologies if this isn’t the right sub. I didn’t exactly know where to post this because it’s not really anything legal related as such. I just really need some advice going forward because I’m struggling.

3.5 years ago, my mum lost her house & had to vacate due to not being able to keep up with mortgage payments. Her partner (at the time) refused to pay towards bills etc, was emotionally, mentally & physically abusive. All of it. Once evicted, we were put in emergency accommodation until we both found a 2 bedroom flat available, it wasn’t supposed to be a forever home, but a thousand times better than emergency accommodation.

My mum wasn’t going to afford the rent on her own due to being in part time work & claiming benefits. I obviously willingly agreed to join the tenancy agreement so both of us were responsible and liable for the rent to be paid, it’s been smooth sailing up until now. She contributes to other bills while I am paying for the rent. & now comes our problem…

Me & my girlfriend have been together for 2 years and really want to move out. We’ve found a house that we love and we have been accepted for it, amazing. But of course, since I am part of the contract here, our landlord has given me two options: I either have to stay until she also moves out, or I move out anyway but will have to continue paying rent here as well as our new house. Obviously this isn’t sustainable, and I have offered to pay for at least 2 months rent while she looks for somewhere but she refuses to look because ‘nowhere will accept me on my income & credit score’. She hasn’t been approachable with any of the conversations we have had because it just turns into constant shouting, arguments and upset, leading me to feel extremely guilty for wanting to move out & start our lives together.

I really don’t know what to do, I can’t live with my mum forever, nor can I continue paying her bills forever. We will be absolutely devastated if we can’t move forward with the house because of current circumstances, but is that the only option I have until my mum also moves out of the property? I fully understand I joined the tenancy when we first moved in, but without me, I truly believe my mum will end up homeless or in accommodation without me to help her, so I feel trapped here & very guilty for wanting to start my life with my partner. Reddit, what can I do? Apologies if I haven’t explained everything clearly, I’ve included as much as possible.

GENESIS 💚 unlocked. The most fun I’ve ever had grinding for a mastery camo.

So today I finally unlocked the Genesis mastery camo in Endgame. Honestly, this was an absolute breeze & I had a lot of fun doing it. I never really “farmed” camos or kills along the way apart from the last few Elites I needed to get it done, I just played normally & tried my best to unlock it naturally. The moment I start doing a particular strat or farm I just lose all enjoyment.

One of my favourite camos in the game & surprisingly I find it to be a lot nicer than Infestation, idk, there’s something about the frame rate between the two that sets them apart so much. Regardless, Singularity is up next, then Infestation last. WZ won’t be getting touched.

For any advice &/or tips on Genesis, ask away. I strongly recommend getting Molton Gold for all of your weapons first, then you can farm different weapons during the match via Command Centres, HVTs etc, for rapid Moonstone unlocks. Same thing applies for Chroma Flux. Once you have Moonstone on everything you want, kill your Elites and constantly swap weapons from the caches they drop - Low Town Zone 4 remains the best place for Elite kills, other than that I would say Nightmare Zones or Guild Bosses, but they take longer to kill. This is so much better than building a weapon, getting Chroma Flux, escaping, then repeat. That got boring fast!

TFB is currently on sale & it looks like a lot of fun, I want to try it. My big question is, what are the boss fights actually like? Every video or clip I see, it looks like the boss barely fights back. What’s everyone’s experience?

I want to first point out that I am in no way criticising the game in a negative way. That’s impossible since I’ve never played it so I can’t form an opinion. & I understand asking in the games’ sub will give me biased answers.

Everything about the game seems exactly for me. Addicting combat, fast paced movement, parries, amazing art direction & design, everything. However, I’m a Souls fan and of course the main reason we all play Souls/Soulslikes is for the challenge & bosses. Now, the boss design looks great, but after seeing quite a few videos & lurking this sub it almost looks like the bosses themselves barely try & hit you back, plus, with massive HP bars. Whether or not the player is just overpowered or not, I don’t know.

So I ask, does TFB scratch that Souls itch? Are the bosses genuinely challenging & immersive? What can I expect coming from FromSoft games to TFB?

Am I going crazy, or have I only just realised that if you hold R1 for Kinetic Jump instead of just pressing, you can gain further distance & altitude?

I don’t remember being able to clear this much distance with Kinetic Jump. Has this always been a thing? D’you travel the same distance regardless of if you hold R1 or just press it? Surely not… or am I losing it?
