Life Changes

I’m on the fence about starting my own leadership coaching/advisory company. I specialize in cyber risk & security. 30 yrs in industry, MS, and MLS in cybersecurity. My team (and marriage) were eliminated in July and I’ve been looking for work. It’s rough out there. My goal prior to the RIF was to train to be a coach & get ICF certification. I’m not sure if now is the time to make the jump.

Helpful comments only. Anything negative or judgmental will be ignored.

Inferior paint???

25 MME GT - love it!!!
It’s white. I’m not discounting that chips are more visible on a white vehicle BUT OMGoodness my car has 16K on it and probably 5 small chips on it. It had the ceramic coating - which my ex insisted on but seems to be pointless.

I’ve seen nightmare picks of MMEs with paint peeling off in sheets. What’s been your experience?

I should have trusted my gut

A month ago I was told that my team at work was being eliminated. A few days later, my husband of 6 yrs told me he got an apartment and job in a different state - 9 hrs away.

The bottom fell out from my unhappy life. I’m happy that he’s gone. The timing sucks.

The marriage wasn’t great for a while. He has mental health issues and he’s just a miserable hateful human being. Racist, homophobic, self-loathing, judgmental, manipulative POS.

I paid for everything from the roof over his head to the TP to wipe is rear for the whole length of our relationship. I made 5x what he made - as he jumped from job to job. He drained me financially, emotionally, and psychologically.

I’m wife #3. He’s husband #2. He’s 15 yrs younger. My gut told me from day 0 that it was a bad idea, but he love-bombed me, made me feel special, and rushed in to marriage planning way too quick. It’s his modus operandi. We married during Covid.

He was jealous of my education - 2 Masters degrees, and my career. Instead of lifting me up, he pulled me down.

So he’s grooming #4 now. They met on a mental health FB group. He moved 9hrs away to be with her. I hope she has more sense than I did, but I doubt she does.

The small whiteboard on my fridge now says “My path is clear”. Whatever my future is, it must be something big because my obstacles have been cleared.

It still hurts. Not the cheating, per se. The lying, manipulation, and taking a load of cash from me to start over while I try to pick up the pieces.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever trust again.

Past life memory or creativity?

Not NDE related, but thought this community might find it interesting.

Our 3yo grandson started telling the family that he misses his kids. We thought it was cute. Then he said the cops took his kids when he went to jail. He has no social context for any of this. He’s an only child, he doesn’t know about jail, and his understanding of police (and all first responders) is that they help people.

He says he had 3 kids. 2 girls, 1 boy. He was the Dad. Their mother was also in jail. He doesn’t know their names. He doesn’t know when it happened, how old his kids were then or if they could still be alive.

The other day, he told me to chase the cop in front of us so he could get his kids. We pretended to chase the cop then finally told him that they got away. He was fine with that.

It was very strange. It’s hard not asking leading questions. We made no judgement of his story.

1200 mile roadtrip

VA to GA and back (with 3yo grandson)
‘25 MME GT AWD
600 miles each way

At 100% charge she gets approx 290 miles. We stopped 3 times each direction to charge. Finding fast chargers was a challenge. The Tesla adapter saved us twice.

None of the charging apps were helpful.

Sun shades

Just purchased sun shades for the glass roof and windshield - 25 MME GT. Nothing fancy - got them on Amazon. They’re keeping the cabin cooler and the glaring sun out of the eyes of my 3yo grandson in the back.
