This may sound a bit embarassing, but Monster Musume was one of the very first anime I watched when I was young, I really enjoyed it and to this day I still believe the anime is one of the best Ecchis out there, and not just for the "spicy" content.

I really think the show is funny to this day, and I like how it behaves like a standard harem anime, where the focus is in the relationships between the girls and the main character, it's an Ecchi anime yes, but also has incredibly wholesome moments between the cast that leave you caring for the girls more than you would expect.

After finishing the anime at the time I immediately searched up the manga and I have been reading it since, the thing is, I just can't stand the manga anymore.

For a good time the manga kept following the same standard the anime had, giving cute moments to Darling and the girls, developing the cast, giving focus to the girls who didn't get a lot, etc.

But after a while the structure of the manga started to change, it started with an arc where Darling and the girls get tasked with helping capture three fugitive monster girls and then... that just became the whole manga.

Every arc Smith or some other character comes up to Darling and says "Hey, I have a quest for you!" then the main character needs to find and help/stop some new monster girl with her problems, that always involve something sexual happening between them.

The focus of the manga shifted from romance to random pseudo-cuck sexual escapades between Darling and whatever new species of monster girl the author came up with, or not even that, sometimes the focus just shifts to multi-page illustrations between some background character engaging in sexual activity with a monster girl. The main girls were there when this trend started but nowadays they have become secondary characters in their own manga, sometimes not showing up for entire arcs.

As you can guess from what I have already said the author even discarded the main plot driver of the manga: Darling having to choose one of the girls to marry hasn't been mentioned in like 60 chapters, and the ban in relationships between monster girls and humans got lifted off-screen or something, because now every single background character is always fucking a monster girl every chapter. You could straight up change the title of the manga from "My Everyday Life with Monster Girls" to "Monthly Sexual Misadventures with Random Monster Girls"

And I haven't even mentioned the WORSE part, 2/3 of these misadventures involve LACTATION for some reason, which is a kink I have nothing against but when the "author's not at all disguised fetish" becomes the whole manga of course I'm going to take a problem with it.

I just wish the manga would end, because then even if it's an ass open ending I would stop feeling obligated to keep reading these random anthology stories wearing the corpse of what used to be one of my favorite manga...

Sempre fui um fudido então pra jogar no meu PC eu sempre usei esses controlinhos genéricos que você acha aos montes por ai. Problema é que geralmente depois de 1 ano eles sempre começam a dar algum problema: Botão afundado, drift no analógico, RT quebrado, etc.

Recentemente eu tô com um pouquinho mais de dinheiro então eu tava pensando se vale a pena comprar um controle oficial de algum console moderno pra jogar, mas como eu nunca tive um eu não sei se eles são superiores de verdade ou se eu tô só idealizando na minha cabeça. Como é a longevidade deles? quanto tempo o de vocês duram/duraram? de qual console vocês recomendam? valeu.

This is just a personal rant, would like to know if anyone can relate. I've tried to get into Uma Musume a lot of times already, but if there's something that always makes me lose interest after a while it's how the characters ONLY talk about fucking racing. And yeah in a "racing game" this sounds like a dumb take but let me explain:

You play something like an Idol Gacha which Uma Musume is heavily inspired by, and the characters will not just talk about singing, they all have personal dramas, family problems, personality struggles. You play Uma Musume and maximum amount of drama every character has is basically: "But Trainer-san... Can I really run fast enough?". If you watch any sports anime then you'll often see the matches exist as tools to showcase and develop a character arc, in Uma Musume the races exist for the sake of more races and that's it.

Add that to the campaign mode where every single event is something like: "Trainer should I focus on running more or running stronger?" and it makes it look like all the characters are living catchphrases and speaking quirks since besides that their conflict is all the same.

Even if the originals were racing horses, multiple random aspects of their lives were still taken to give them their personality and looks, couldn't they do the same with characters arcs? For example: I know one of the girls has an abusive mother because the IRL trainer of the horse had one, couldn't they apply that to all girls to make them more interesting?

Of course I know I'm simplifying a lot, and you're probably thinking about your favorite who has a good character arc, but when you look at all the girls together don't they blend together a little?

Shitty opinions from someone who hasn't really gotten in the franchise yet but does anyone think the same?

Sorry trying to play online with my friends to let them use my DLCs but I don't really get how it works. I wanted to use the Moles, and my two other friends the Rats and the Badgers, then I set up draft mode with only them, then I immediately got ordered by the game to add one more faction, ok did as it said and added the Cats. One of my friends was able to join fine, but when the other one tried joined it said "There are no other factions for you to select in this game" and he wasn't able to enter. What am I supposed to do? what are the rules here?

Hi, so: I was playing with my friends on the PC version through Pass and Play, however since it isn't really that optimized we decided to play with me on PC and my other friends on their cellphones.

My question is, does Crossplay work seamlessly? and also, if I buy the DLC, will they be able to play with the DLC factions and other features when they're in a match with me?

So, based on the ending credits and the merch being sold, I'm assuming Flappers is going to be a part of the main cast. This annoys me, because in a show about traveling between worlds that reflect all kinds of games, why are 3/4 of the main cast cute mascots?

You have the perfect chance to play around with the contrast and interactions between different characters from different genres, maybe even play around with different art styles, and then you just limit yourself right off the bat like that?

Like, yeah I was not watching with my eyes closed, I know the characters still have very different personalities, but the concept just had so much more potential. Imagine if they had a RPG hero? a DOOM guy? A horror villain? Keep Gobbles to have some childlike contrast but make the rest of the cast more diverse.

I saw someone saying that "We don't know yet, maybe the gameoverse isn't actually a mirror of all real-life games, buy maybe just an universe made by old-school platform/adventure games". But that would be even WORSE, that's shooting an interesting premise on the feet right before it even started.

The pilot wasn't bad and I don't doubt the show will also be good, but I don't know I just have this nitpicky complaint in the back of my head a lot.

I got a mechanical keyboard after someone spilled liquid on my old one, it's pretty good, pretty smooth, works well. However something weird that happened after I changed it is that I can't open a private window with Ctrl+Shift+P anymore? All the keys work individually, however nothing happens when I press all of them together. This shortcut doesn't match any of the commands my keyboard naturally has, so maybe it is a problem with the browser itself. I'm using Firefox Developer Edition, any idea guys?

Last month two guys sent me a friend request at the same time, and after I accepted they added me to a group where they were having a VC and playing some game, I entered the VC and they were speaking French or something, then I explained what happened to them.

Genuinely why is this happening to me?

There are multiple posts like this on this sub but I honestly think I'm on other level.

I'm playing with my boyfriend and we are stuck right now, in the Malik fight, yeah that early.

I just don't get it, I've seen all the other posts asking this question and I get how important sidesteping is in this game, but how am I supposed to guess how to dodge? The enemies have literally no startup animation or anything they literally just attack out of nowhere with their tiny animations, how am I supposed to know if it's a horizontal or vertical attack? isn't it just a 50/50?

Not to mention that the focus on sidesteping feels really weird when you realize that the fights aren't the honorable 1v1s you think they are, enemies will just all gang up on the first player and sooometimes swap and gang up on someone else, so even if I dodge one attack another one hits me and I just get stun locked and die, specially with Malik casting spells non-stop.

Speaking of which, why does everyone die in 4 hits? Am I underleved or something? Everyone is already level 18 but we keep getting one-shot, already spent all our Life bottles is there even a way to leave the fortress to buy more stuff?

I've played Tales of Destiny DC, so I know how the system works but that game felt way more intuitive what's going on?

You guys know this kind of situation right? When a villain or something else goes like:

"Hahaha hero, I'll erase you from the memories of everyone you hold dear so you don't have anyone to help you anymore"

Which is usually followed by the character going after his friends and asking

"Do you really not remember me anymore?? After everything we went through together??"

Only to be followed by the friend going

"Eeew what the hell? Don't touch me you weirdo! I've never seen you before!"

First of all, this kind of interaction is weird as fuck, I personally wouldn't treat someone who looks genuinely distressed about me not remembering them as some lunatic, and I don't think characters who are usually meant to be good people should either.

But besides that, why do authors always just leave it at that? The character will mope around for a while until they find a magical solution or someone who remembers them, but like, if you think about it a little, what's really happening in the other characters' minds? There should be some really big information gaps there, right? Why doesn't the character ever try asking questions like: "Well if you don't remember me then who were you with yesterday?", "Who gave you this thing you're wearing?", "How do I know this information about you that no one else knows?"

I know these kinds of moments exist to create conflict and sadness, I'm not saying they should be resolved instantly as a "gotcha" in any story, but at least take 5 seconds within the story to explain why this kind of approach wouldn't work? Do they have a bunch of fabricated memories in their heads that justify the questions? Are the people who got their memory erased physically unable to recall the past? Otherwise, it just makes the erased character look stupid for not thinking about any of this.

Non-ironically the only piece of media I've seen addressing this is a harem anime: The World God Only Knows, where they explain that every time the protagonist gets erased from one of the girls' minds, he gets replaced with someone else involved. Still leaves a bunch of little plot holes along the way (the protagonist is alone with the girl in most arcs), but at least it's trying to come up with SOMETHING.

And btw, I feel like I should clarify I'm not talking about storylines where reality is rewritten as if a character never existed. I'm talking specifically about scenarios where everything is still the same, but everyone else doesn't remember them.
