You can power 106 RTG's off of 1 Phase Weaver

It takes an absurdly long time to fill up all the way, I'm sure there's better ways to do this, but this works. It consumes pretty much nothing and produces 16.2k power a second.

The fact it takes almost 3 and ½ minutes for 1 RTG to consume a single piece of phase fabric is wild to me. Big power potential if you don't mind the huge footprint.

Assault AI - Logic

I've designed a really quite simple unit attack AI using logic, and it all fits in one processor. Units have a few different behaviours, which they perform automatically. They can be commanded to attack and perform these behaviors or return home at the press of a button.

When attacking, the units will head towards an enemy core using the default autopathfind instruction. They stop along the way when they encounter turrets and factories, attempting to stay at their maximum range in order to best ensure survivability while also dishing out good damage.

When they drop below half health (0.5 is the default, but it's easily configurable), they return to the location set in the processor (also configurable) and heal to full before returning to combat. On their way home, they don't attack things (really only to help preserve corvuses), but on the way back to attack, they try to kill any enemies they come across.

Allies who aren't returning home try to make way for those who are, which solves the problem where oftentimes big chunky slow units get stuck in the front and can't escape when getting sniped by long-range turrets.

I show this working on salt flats, but recently, I've tested it on the infamous Sector 27, and it does really well. Previous versions also demolished the new PLT and other sectors. It works well with pretty much all units, though long-range ones are definitely the most favorable.

Menu Theme on a Minecraft Create Mod Organ

I built the organ, but I didn't make the MIDI file. That can be found in the description. Of all the songs I've added to it I'd say that this one ended up sounding the best. The menu theme is one of my favorite songs of Factorio's soundtrack.

Megadrill Redesign

I recently had the idea of creating a version of the BOTNAKs that would look more purpose-built and industrial to really sell their destructive, non-recycling existence. The sketch I've made here is a bit of a middle ground between what I had in mind and the game's current design. I plan on making one that's more what I envisioned, as well as all of the smaller enemies to accompany it, but for now, this is what I've got.

Some details to note, the round thing by the smokestack is a fusion reactor. Now, whether the BOTNAKs would actually use such clean energy like fusion or just burn things for power, I'm sure we all know. The head also has a big spotlight on top, which I made to look like a mining helmet to keep them still looking as cartoony as they do ingame. Having a big spotlight shining down on you during a fight at night would also make for a really ominous atmosphere.

I'm unsure where the heat vents you attack in the fight would go on this design, but I'll figure that out in the next design.

Long, soft flying insect

Found flying at dusk in central Virginia. It was very keen on escaping, so I only have this image.

Wither Storm Redesign for my Comic (Rough Sketch)

It uses its hands to drag itself around, but otherwise, it just floats in place.

There's also several holes in the bottom that can be used to get inside. The biggest difference with my design and the original is that it wasn't built with a command block, but rather was created from an existing wither, corrupted somehow using dark ender magic. It was created by the Heart of Ender in order to destroy all life in the overworld.

Killing it involves destroying its core, which is a massive ball of souls at its center. Steve and Alex do this by using the formidi-bomb, detonating it inside, however rather than outside.

Standing on top of it is ill-advised, as hands will arise from the blocks it's made up of and drag you inside. Skeletal mouths also appear occasionally from the body to shoot skulls, however they also rain down from the clouds that surround it.

Critter Finds of the Past Few Weeks

I think the big mith I found was a tulip tree silkmoth, but I'm not exactly sure. I also think photo 5 is a lanternfly nymph that recently molted, but it seems different due to the big yellow horn that they usually don't have. Hopefully it's not another species of big planthoppers. Photo 13 I've had trouble identify8ng as well, all I know is that it's extremely adorable. It may be a leafcutter bee?

Hydrogen Engine

Serves as a sink for excess hydrogen and for use in sectors with many vents, high power demand, and no arkycite. Unlocked by landing Caldera.

I'm trying to keep an antlion as a pet. Is this a sufficient enclosure? It's about 8x5 inches and has a lot of dry, fine dirt from the same place the antlion came from and those 2 rocks.

I plan on adding actual sand later today, but I don't have it right now. The dirt is about 3/4ths of an inch deep where the antlion is, which definitely doesn't seem like enough.

As far as feeding goes, google says you only have to give ants/other tiny bugs to them once every 1-3 days, so I'd assume that's what I'd do? They seem to be demolishing lanternfly larvae in their wild spot, so I may stick to those for food.
