my gecko only seems to like the Pangea growth and breeding and I have tried must of the other ones. she’ll sometime eat the papaya but only if the growth&breeding is mixed in.

I guess the main question I have is do I have to adjust her feeding at all cause as far as I know the growth&breeding formula is one of the ones that has the most fat.

Thanks to everyone that gave me advice the last time I asked about weighing my crestie when she first arrived home. She is about 8 months now and turns out I no longer need a cup or holding container shea easy to handle and I can just place her or guide her on to it now

She’s got a marking on her head that reminds me of those Rorschach tests. Curious what other people see?

I know crested geckos all grow at their own pace, but wanted to get an opinion from those with more experience than I.

She’s approximately 7 months old, have had her 2 weeks and she’s gained roughly 1.6g since and now is roughly 13g.

I took her out to say goodbye before I left and noticed she looked “cubby” however I don’t know if it’s because she had 5 crickets yesterday night or because she was climbing around and her body was more squished together. The last two photos are from yesterday.

Side note: last photo you can see she has a white dot on the corner of her mouth, it’s the same on the other side. I know theyre just markings but im like awe she’s got dimples/freckles.

During our short handling session today, my gecko decide instead of the usual jump to the chest she’d aim higher and ended up pretty much landing on my lips. I’m good right?

Hearing they can carry salmonella naturally I’m slightly a hypochondriac when it comes to some stuff. I did not open my mouth until I gently lifted her off my face.

In other news, she’s now 13.2 grams. Thats about 1.6 grams up from 2 weeks ago :)

Shes been handling really well and she’s roughly 13g now I think. Does take a little coaxing to come out but once she’s in my hands she’s pretty chill beyond the normal amount of walking up and down the arms and jumping on to my chest or just where ever the jump take her.

Slightly concerned going on vacation and not handling her for a week she’ll get shy/scared again, but hopefully won’t be too bad when I get back.

I know geckos can take 1-2 weeks, maybe more to get comfortable in their new space. Judging that she has gained 1 gram in a week, I would say she must be eating? Currently feeding pangea and Repashy, haven’t seen her eat but based on the weight gain, I’d think she is. She’s also had 5 crickets since, planning to feed some crickets again tonight.
I’ve only found 2 urates, one after I fed crickets middle of last week and then this morning. Could I just not be seeing the poop and is it a concern if I am only seeing urates at this point since I did just get her a week ago.

I’m looking for some new sunset spots. We’ve been to Acadia many times but usually have only seen the sunsets from the Bass Harbor Lighthouse near our campground or a top Mount Cadillac Or a sunset cruise. I was wondering what other spots there were to get a good view of the sun setting, that I haven’t thought of yet. Preferably higher up or something with an expansive view and something we could drive to as walking down a trail after dark is not something we’d like to do, specially with my parents being much older now

I’ve heard you can mix Pangea food and it’s fine in the fridge for up to a week? I found these travel squeeze containers in my drawer. Never been used, BPA free, do you think I can use these or should I just go out and find different squeeze bottles

I wanted to pre prepare some crested gecko food for the week. As I’ve heard you can do that with Pangea. I found these in my drawer, never used, BPA Free. Would these be safe to use or should I just go out and find another squeeze bottle somewhere?

Forgive me for sounding stupid, but I just want to double check. If I weigh a cup with my gecko in it and then once again without the gecko and then subtract I should get an approximate weight? I tried to TARE the cup but she just didn’t want to stay still enough for me to get her in the cup and then stay in it lol. Figure instead of frantically trying to handle her a lot to position her right just quickly get her in the cup with a closed lid
