This watch is just so amazing to look at, has been a perfect companion on this trip.

Just got an email this afternoon that the Rivian Park Meadows is finally open. Already booked a demo drive for the R2 this coming week. I’ve been waiting for this one for a bit since I’m just a few minutes away. Perhaps easier for the South of Denver crowd to get to. The email eluded to a grand opening event, but no official date yet.

Just got this today from Teddy Baldassarre. It’s an amazing feeling and looking watch, and for the price punches way above its weight. Going to run it on the included fabric strap for now. Now I need to go find some water. Happy Weekend!!

Went in for a demo drive of the R2 yesterday and came away very impressed overall. Asked specifically for the R2 performance trim on 20” wheels with all-terrain tires, and they made it happen. The Denver showroom crew was amazing, especially Tori. She took the time to answer all my questions and made the experience first class.
Good:
The suspension genuinely surprised me. It absorbs bumps in a way that feels planted without being floaty — hard to explain, but it just felt confident. Seats were also a standout — really comfortable, and the cabin has way more room than you’d expect for the segment. Coming from a ‘24 Tesla MYP, I was curious how the UI would land. Honestly? Pretty intuitive. Didn’t feel like I was learning a new language, which is the highest praise I can give a non-Tesla UI at this point, (I drove a brand new Lincoln Navigator a couple months ago, I was baffled what the designers of the vehicle were thinking.)
The R2’s overall build quality is extremely good. The demo R2 and the show room vehicle I sat in felt like a luxury SUV, excellent fit and finish on the materials and panel gaps.
Might need work:
Drive modes didn’t feel different enough between the three I tried. I cycled through All Purpose, Sport, and Conserve, and I genuinely couldn’t feel a meaningful difference between them. I’m sure that with a longer drive, perhaps the difference is more noticeable, but it wasn’t apparent on the demo. Rivian might want to make those transitions more pronounced.
I’m a late reservation holder, but I still got 10 months on my MYP lease, so I’m not in a rush. I’m interested in what other people will be cross-shopping the R2 against. If you’ve not had a chance to get a demo yet, keep trying! My expectations were high, and the R2 exceeded them all.

I know there’s been posts about this before (hey, at least it’s not another HC post), but my wife’s wrist is right smack between too tight and too loose with the metal bracelet for the L5.512.4.71.6. I’ve seen past posts where someone mentioned that the bracelet comes with half links, but her watch did not. Purchased it new this year.
While we wait for Longines to restock their hardware for the leather bands, any ideas? Thank you!
