Hey All, I have a relatively nice home theatre set up in my living room:

Denon AVR-X4500H
Polk Audio Signature S35 (center channel)
(2) Polk Audio Signature S60 towers
(4) Monitor Audio C165 (in ceiling)
(2) Polk Audio S10 (rears)
(2) SVS-3000 subs
MiniDSP - doing nothing really

The short story, I’m never able to use the system to it’s potential because of sensitivity the wife and kids have. Additionally, the HDMI module in the Denon shit the bed.

The cost to get the equivalent Denon receiver available today (Denon AVR-X4800H) is the same cost for a SONOS system (one sub, arc ultra, the 300s rears).

In my shoes, would you sell my current set up and go SONOS or just replace the receiver?

I should add that I’m not someone who’s good at setting my home audio, so I never got what I could from this current set up, and that, along with the other benefits of SONOS has my wife and I thinking I should jsut go Sonos.

Any and all help and recommendations is greatly appreciated. I hate to sell what I have if SONOS isn’t worth it, but I don’t think replacing the Denon will do much for me and spending $2700 to do so makes my skin crawl.

Asking the obvious question I've yet to see or read from anyone, regarding the Lord of Hatred campaign:
