I need a kit for brazing and found several on Amazon, but they all have non-DOT tanks which I understand are difficult to get filled. What is the point in selling something which is essentially unusable? Is it really that hard to fill these tanks in the USA?
I have a Husquavarna walk behind with a Honda motor that has been sitting unused for years. Pulled it out yesterday and found the recoil starter wasn’t recoiling, so I tried to fix it. Kind of a waste of time as the “clock spring” had pretty much rusted beyond salvation. I’m ordering a new one, but I’m wondering if anybody fixes these things? Seems like replacing it as a unit is the way to go.

I have some leftover stuff from my previous home that uses UPB (Universal Powerline Bus). Communications between nodes was reasonably reliable, but power surges killed a lot of the switches. Does anyone still use UPB?
So, I had an Emby installation which I abandoned after many problems. I have since built a Jellyfin server using the same library. About the only thing I miss about Emby is the display of artist biographies, detailed discography and other metadata.
Is there a plugin for Jellyfin that adds this display?
I don’t see anything special about the Bose 700 subwoofer. Plastic ported cabinet, driver and amp. Why so much $$$$$? Is it really anything special?

I never thought I would be shopping for a soundbar. My background is engineering which included some mis-spent youth in large venue sound reinforcement — stacks of speakers, racks of amps. But now as an old guy, I just want something that works, that I don’t have to fix, that just makes everybody happy.
I thought the answer was a Sonos Beam 2. It was a great unboxing experience, sounded great once I got my HDMI cables sorted out. But then… “Alexa, call my cell phone” “Sorry that’s not supported on this device”. Hmm. Well let’s hook up Alexa to the Amazon echo wall clock. Sorry, that doesn’t work either (I guess I should noticed the Sonos doesn’t have Bluetooth — oops). Oh well, let’s just watch TV… “What’s that crackling sound?”, she says. Google says it’s a known problem, Sonos support has lame recommendations… The Sonos fanboys on r/sonos tell me I’m an idiot.. and I’m inclined to agree since I bought this overpriced junk which was apparently never tested for operation in an RF dense environment. Maybe I should get around to pulling some more CAT6 so I don’t have to deal with WiFi, but shouldn’t this thing _just work_?
So today I started a search for a soundbar that doesn’t suck. I have a spreadsheet listing 24 different manufacturers with a plethora of models. So far, none of them satisfy my new requirements for a simple product that is likely to work.

I bought a Beam 2 during Prime Days for a simple living room setup. We watch news,TV series and occasional movie. We need Amazon Alexa in this room.
Now facing the “Sonos crackling speaker” issue which seems to be attributed to WiFi interference. It occurs randomly and annoyingly even for audio source via HDMI. Really don’t want to bother fixing the Sonos problem only to have it appear again after the return period expires.
The Yamaha SR-X50A looks attractive for use with our Samsung Frame.
Opine please — I just want a simply life with reasonable audio that fits on the mantle!
