I am a Canadian currently living in America with my wife. I have an Italian passport because my father is Italian but I speak no Italian, been to Italy once when I was very young. My wife is not Italian.

I'm not serious about moving to Europe but I'd like to keep my possibilities open and know what options I have as an English speaking Canadian with an EU passport. Realistically never going to happen but you never know. I currently work in embedded software. What would be my options?

If I had a good opportunity I'd think I would like Germany and The Netherlands. I would not move to Italy despite having my family because my wife is black.

For all of the threads on Eastern conversions from Lutheranism, there is little focus on the reformed anymore. There are Lutherans like me completely unconvinced of a church that lacks any rule of faith or reason or unified confession in what they believe in. First write down your theology and then substantiate and ground it.

I am a convert from the Roman church who left for Scriptural reasons. Ever since my conversion, and speaking with and engaging with Christians of all kinds, the reformed are by far the ones I am most dragged towards. They are the kindest, most faithful, knowledgeable in history and Scriptures, and I love their systematics. Their fruit is beyond measure in evangelism and living to serve God in the 10 commandments. Unfortunately there are some things holding me back. But I cannot get past the Lutheran versus Reformed reading of essential election passages such as Romans 9. I cannot discern whether or not I am denying my faith in God's Word when I read it. I am inclined to say I am.

Is there any modern apologetics on what they say in regards to icons, election, and the sacrament? I feel left out with all this rave about the Eastern church.

And yes, my pastor is well aware of this. He is helping me to nourish my faith.

I know nothing about music. All i know is all the songs i can find have low notes i cant play on my instrument. How do i play these without buying a tenor or soprano. Do I shift all notes up or is there some secret

I see a lot of posts here from tech bros in California and Seattle telling about how they make so much more here than in Canada. But as somone, like me, who earns the exact same pay as they would in Canada, how's life here for you?

Personally speaking, I don't notice a big quality of life difference besides less healthcare availability. I'm really just here because I love my job and I work for a great company in a nice rural town with great people. Gotta love your job. Worked too many jobs I hated. And I hate how lazy Canadian companies are and how little they care but that's another story.

But for those who are also in my position, why are you still on the TN if you're not here to rake in the big dollars?

I just spent the last week setting up this phone to find that there's a huge bug where the top microphone doesn't work and it's the one responsible for capturing audio on speaker calls. There's already open issues for this that are unaddressed as of yet. No one can hear you on speakerphone.

I don't have the time to figure this out i just wanna use this phone so whoever fixed this in a branch and uploads a binary I'll send them USD thank you. Dm if interested or comment

I would prefer the top microphone to actually work instead of the bottom microphone replacing for speakerphone calls.

Question. I work for a great company now and I am looking for a more permanent stay in the US. I want to buy property and invest money in the country so the TN isn't a good visa for a longer stay. I'd like for them in a year or so to petition me for an H1B. I'm born in Canada.

But I've also heard of ppl say that you can file directly. Why would I ever do that compared to switching visa status to h1b? Also, if I get a green card, would my Canadian wife get a residency visa or something?

Bought apartment and had roaches. Sprayed everything. Cabinets. Heating elements. Bathroom. Ceiling where the neighbours invaded from. Haven't seen any in two weeks.
