We had a routine ultrasound on our newborn (13 days old) after a heart murmur was detected. The murmur is gone now but the ultrasound showed a narrow aortic arch (3.9 mm) with high blood flow (2.0 m/s). They said it's small on the isthmus but it's a normal shape and doesn't show signs of coarctation

They also said she has a small "fenestrated PFO". I understand that this is something which can take no this after birth to close so it isn't necessarily a concern.

The doctors want us to come back in a month to recheck but how concerned should I be? They said it's probably nothing, but also want us to come back so I am a bit conflicted.

I am 2 weeks in to "barely" two under two (eldest will turn two in a few weeks. I am completely shaken so far. Our second baby and birth was at first much easier than the first, and I definitley feel more confident. But I had retained placenta and D&C with a night in the hospital due to bleeding, baby girl has potential heart problem we have had to investigate and isn't gaining weight well and I am having breastfeeding issues I simply didn't have with the first. All with the toddler running around. We have had to introduce the toddler to TV and the screentime has gone from 0 to 100 in no time.

With my first I had severe severe PPD and I am just terrified it is coming back because I cannot stop crying every day with how overwhelmed I am. My husband is exhausted, I am exhausted. We don't have a lot of help (my husband's family is local but quite busy so limited time to help). I have no friends or contact with my family, and none of my husband's friends have kids. We are blessed with good parental leave but right now I don't even want it? Like I am scared to be home with them for so long?

Please any suggestions to help?

Are there any groups where second time mums talk and support each other. One week into two kid life and I am already on a serious struggle bus, and I don't have any friends with one kid let alone two. Would love some people to talk to, and I was never accepted into the reddit bumper group for my month :(

Based in Sweden and first kid is 23 months if that makes any difference.

Hi all. My MIL is bipolar, diagnosed and treated. She is very very clearly in a manic period right now, but this is the first time I am experiencing her in a manic period. My SIL (her daughter) already tried to talk to her about it but it led nowhere.

The problem is she is really desparate to babysit our 2 year old son right now. He is very energetic and boundary pushing. Me and my partner don't feel great about it, but I don't know if I am overreacting as I am freshly postpartum with our second.

Would you let her babysit? Do you think it's safe? How do you say no without causing a fight?

Apart from the obvious place to sleep and modes of transport, what were essential purchases for you with two small ones? Anything that made your life easier?
