Men’s Claddagh rings?

I want to upgrade my husband’s wedding band for our anniversary and I know he’s wanted a Claddagh ring for a while. In Massachusetts (where we’re from) this would be something I could solve easily since there’s Irish shops everywhere but, not so much here. Is there anywhere in the Orlando area that you’d suggest? I know there are tons of online retailers but it’s hard knowing who to trust quality wise. I’m panicking because we don’t usually do anniversary gifts (we do experiences,) but it’s our 10 year wedding anniversary and I know he snuck and got me something….and it’s only 3 weeks away.

Currency exchange open today?

I’m going on a cruise to Mexico tomorrow and forgot I wanted to get some cash exchanged to Pesos. My bank doesn’t have branches here in Florida. Anyone know where I can go today? AAA is closed and you can’t do it at a Western Union or Amscot.

If I see “0.8” one more time

We went on vacation in June and I gained 5lbs, which I fully expected. Honestly expected more since we did a week long Alaska cruise out of Canada, all food included, buffets etc, and then king crab in Alaska etc. We don’t hold back on spending or eating on vacation, LOL. So I didn’t weigh myself for a month (couple weeks prior to and a couple weeks after the trip.) We’re back in the swing of things and if I see “0.8” one more time I’m going to start to develop a complex about the number 8 😂 If you’ve seen other posts of mine you know I’ve been struggling with ups & downs and low loss for a while but this 0.8 thing is like the universe fucking with me, haha. 💀

“New” no turn on red from Hartzog to Western Way

I know it’s not brand new but it’s new-ish. Anywho, does anyone else find the new no turn on red signal at the intersection of Hartzog & Western Way to be completely absurd?? We literally sat at that light for half an hour tonight because of it and there was no traffic before or after that section of the road. We never dealt with that before they changed it and now it seems like a clusterfuck any time we drive that way. Tell me I’m not the only one??

Coffee menu - And Then There Were None

My book club (Scream Queens in Clermont, FL) is reading And Then There Were None for the July Book. We meet once a month at a bookstore coffee shop. Each month they make a menu for us themed to the book. We come up with the drinks and they make them. I’m the only one (at least of the 3 hosts) who has read the book so far. I can NOT think of any drink ideas. We usually do 3, sometimes a coffee (espresso based drinks,) a lemonade and a tea based drink, or it can be multiple coffees, a matcha etc. We don’t do alcohol (don’t think the shop can serve it,) so bourbon/whiskey/brandy or any other cocktail is out of the question. We have done drinks themed around the ocean before, and sometimes we’ll do a play on drinks or snacks they’ve. had in the books. But a tinned tongue drink doesn’t sound good 😂

I do NOT use AI so I can’t ask ChatGPT or Claude for ideas. So I come to you, the people of Reddit and what I imagine to be AC experts. Can anyone make any recommendations? I’m attaching photos of previous menus we’ve done. Here

How many calories do we think?

I logged it as 350. Didn’t customize at all so not sure what kind of milk they used.

Late Night or 24 hour food tonight?

We are on the Quickshuttle from Seattle and will be getting into Vancouver about 9. We’re staying on the waterfront (leaving on a cruise tomorrow.) What’s good in that area late night? Husband would like to get delivery (been traveling since 7 am Orlando time,) but not opposed to going somewhere to sit down as well. We like walking too. I know the city is known for great dim sum but that’s about it.

Tracy’s Crab Shack in Juneau

Hello! My husband and I will be doing an Alaskan cruise on Monday and Juneau is one of our ports. My husband doesn’t eat seafood but I am 90% shellfish at this stage in life, lol. I really want to try Alaskan king crab and Tracy’s is the place that always gets recommended. However I have also seen people say it’s just a tourist trap and not worth it. Am I a tourist? Yes. Do I want food that tastes good for the price? Also yes. I want to try some crab legs/claws and crab bisque. Is Tracy’s the best bet or is there somewhere better/more reasonably priced/less crowded? I’m not opposed to walking farther or going off the “beaten path” at all. Thanks!

Van Goghblin Cafe/Goblin Studios/Cocktails & Screams

My husband and I recently discovered Van Goghblin Cafe inside Goblin Studios and really liked their coffee and the general vibe.

Someone told me today that the ownership is connected to Cocktails & Screams (I know they’re closed) ownership. Can anyone verify or debunk? I’d be super bummed since the ownership is C&S are notoriously awful people (racism, MAGA, sexual harassment, transphobia etc.) Thanks!

My evaporator unit just started making this noise. I can hear it from inside my house. What does it mean? As I’m posting this I can hear it whistling steadily now. Click the link for the video, Reddit wouldn’t let me upload

I got this email from Pom a little while ago (their newsletter.) When I went to the website it wasn’t listed under pricing so I have nothing on that end. Thoughts?

Bought Disney tickets for my friend and her daughter who will be pet sitting for us in June while we’re on an Alaskan cruise.

My confirmation email says all she needs is the gift receipt and her ID at will call …..the gift receipt says she needs my credit card that I paid with and my confirmation email. 🙃 I called and a CM confirmed the tickets are in her name and that she doesn’t need the original payment card or my confirmation however I’m still nervous. Obviously it’s impossible because I won’t be here, nor would it make sense since it’s my credit card with my name on it. Just wondering if anyone has ever had issues or experience with picking up tickets with a gift receipt. This will be their first time going to Disney (her daughter is 10,) and it’s not something they’d be able to do otherwise so I don’t want any hiccups.

We're flying into Seattle on 5/31 and heading to Vancouver, BC for a cruise the next day. We currently have a rental car booked to drive to Canada but that seems like a lot financially ($400,) red tape wise (border crossing, required docs from Enterprise etc,) and just the actual driving itself. Quickshuttle looks much cheaper ($125 for the two of us with luggage and rescheduling fee.) Just looking for reviews and experiences. Thanks!
