sabbath time - Mellified Man
This track was released back in autumn 2025. It was my take to dip deeper into the gothic area of the darkwave music.
I hope you'll enjoy it, and that this track is accepted by the mods.
Berlin Wall
This is "Berlin Wall" a track hugely inspired bands and music projects that I listen to in regular basis like Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, Oppenheimer Analysis, Geneva Jacuzzi and Psyche and Depeche Mode.
From what people described the genres on this song it's from Synthpop to Coldwave and Darkwave as well as Electro-industrial. It's probably pop but like underground pop. But certainly I am unsure where to put it.
My questions remain like:
• What genres do you think it is and why? Is it accurate?
• What decade do you hear from it?
• What musicians or bands do you think it sounds like?
• What do you think of the concept of the song as well as in lyrics and vocals as well as the instrumentation details?
• How is the mix and master?
• Do you like it? Or Don't? What are your likes and dislikes on the track?
You're welcome to write me the feedback however you like.
What is the most overplayed goth songs according to you?
Since I wanted to open up the discussion on it especially when it comes to songs from 2010's and 2000's that's been part of goth subculture and accepted or less so, which songs are most overplayed? And why? Do you like the fact it's overplayed or you don't mind it?
Edit 1: I can see many of you mention "Bite my hip" and all I can think of is a Bauhaus song. Haven't heard it at all but I do understand it can be annoying to hear it all the time. As with any other song
Anhedonia - Mellified Man (me)
I wrote this song with lyrics and arrangement to match the 1980's and late 1970's sound of the post-punk and the mood I most of the time feel in my entirety (not always but very often).
It's personal song of mine because it resonates so much.
I did enjoy making it as every other.
I played: Bass guitar, electric guitar, programmed drum machine, sang in it, added sampled found object sound as percussion. Fully produced, mixed and mastered.
Hope you'll enjoy this song.
Lyrics:
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
These days
I slipped away from my daily routine
These days
I can't seem to have a joy in creation
One day
Has changed my life
In better or worse
One day
We hadn't easy for one second
Anhedonia
You left me paralysed
Anhedonia
Your chains so heavy
Broke my spirit
Anhedonia
You left me paralysed
Anhedonia
Broke my spirit
Anhedonia
Strange days
Like every day it's all the same
Strange days
Devoid of laughter
And no tears and sadness
Next day
A beat of a distant drum
Is played
Next day
The feeling is deeper
Than any rabbit hole
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
You left me paralysed
Anhedonia
Your chains so heavy
Broke my spirit
Anhedonia
You left me paralysed
Anhedonia
Broke my spirit
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
Anhedonia
Halloween Jack - definitely for halloween 2026
I'm thinking of this being a perfect Halloween song from my side. What do you think? Do you like it?
Filter - Hey Man, Nice Shot
I have heard this song in many movies and series. Never knew it was this song. Such a good sound. It has the sound of Nine Inch Nails' "Broken EP" and "Fragile"
What is EBM to you? And why?
I am sure anyone already asked this question before and so you can let me know of it.
I'm very interested in your thoughts around the EBM genre and what it is for you in general, as the music genre. What brings you to wanna listen to it? In contexts of origin of liking or hearing it. Any specific reasons or maybe just because you just like it.
I wanna know in the deeper sense of what and why.
For me,
EBM is this genre of music that I feel I can listen and do whatever you like to do non-stop. From working while listening to music to going to gym and just doing my thing. It scratches the right spot in my brain and works it out well for most situations.
And the media of this kind. I mean dystopia, cyberpunk with the sci-fi and all around.
I find EBM more appealing to me than the every day so radio-friendly EDM music. I don't judge anyone for what they like or not. It's just me and everyone is entitled to like whatever they like.
Hopefully this sums up my reasoning of writing this post.
Ps:
Thank you so much for showing so much love for my recent post on my track.
Anyone who are into darkwave and synthpop and actively listening on soundcloud?
A genuine question.
SoundCloud is mostly known for rap and hip hop so despite having songs from different major genres and minor genres, are there anyone listening actively through SoundCloud on genres like darkwave or synthpop? Etc
If I wasn't clear with my question, I will rephrase it.
I've got email about YouGrowPromo, can this be trusted?
I don't remember interacting with such site and so now I get two emails from a person claiming to be art of YouGrowPromo.
I have a hard time to figure out if it's legit or not.
Can this be trusted?
Is it legit?

Just wanted to send one last follow-up regarding my previous message.
No worries at all if now isn’t the right time, but if promotion support for your music is something you may be interested in exploring in the future, I’d be happy to share more information about how we work.
Best regards,

This used to be free... Thank you for ruining the experience BandLab
Made an EBM song about blind loyalty to a state
I am hoping it's a good sounding song with a message that uncovers on no matter which political sphere a country is in, there will always be hypocrisy and questionable things.
What do you think?
Slayyyter - I'M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS
Since some sources like Rate Your Music states it's a mix of EBM and Electroclash.
Does it fit to this subreddit?
This is kind of a song I wanted to showcase since I wanted to bring some part of my life in the past to the text and story telling. In how people sometimes turn out to be in romantic relationships and how it ends in a despair.
I am making a song to have a slower tempo than usual, but still curious if it takes the cut for having any of elements of EBM to be labelling it as such?
I am in works for this and feel like this is gonna go well.
What do you think?
