Finally it happened to me!
Starting weight was 236, at 5’ 2” back in January 2025. Was on Wegovy/Ozempic for months and then stalled, starting Mounjaro was the jumpstart I needed. Slow and steady for me, 60 more pounds to go.

I had a medial partial meniscectomy and chondroplasty 8 months ago. In the last few weeks I’ve started having pain in front of my kneecap, completely different location than prior to surgery. The pain is pretty constant when I walk, but does not hurt when I use the bike or elliptical. I have been pretty consistent with working out and have lost weight but still need to lose about 50 pounds or so before I am no longer obese. I have started icing after working out and applying Pennsaid to my kneecap hoping this will resolve itself. I am also doing strength training with machines and body weight exercises avoiding anything that causes pain. I will return to the surgeon if I don’t see improvement after a couple of weeks. This is so disappointing because I was doing well initially.
I have four siblings, all are married with children, have friends and close relationships with the family. Then there is me, have never had close friends, am married but child free by choice, and am not close with my siblings or mom. Why am I so different than the rest of my family? I am considering therapy to understand why I am this way. I don’t remember a lot of my childhood or teen years, and am in my 60s and retired with more time to think.
We are looking to possibly replace a 40 year oil tank that is located in the basement, but above ground, of our condo. From what I’ve read, we need a permit for this work to be performed. When we brought this up to the contractor he said while he could pull a permit, it may open a can of worms related to other things like where the water heater is located in relation to the tank. I know regulations have changed since the condo was built in the 80s, but why should we have to take on this huge cost? Of course we’re also looking to move in about a year or so. Wondering if we should leave the oil tank as is and kick back some money to any buyer. There are no issues with the tank, it’s in a secure location without exposure to the elements and we seem to be the only ones in our complex contemplating replacing it. Thoughts?
First time I’m looking at Mazda for a new vehicle. I haven’t owned many vehicles, two Toyota Matrixes (2004 and 2010), a Nissan Altima (1998), and my current vehicle Nissan Juke (2013). I really like the look of the CX 50, and want something that is quieter and has some punch. My husband has a Grand Highlander which to me drives like a boat on land. I’m not sure which trim I should get, thinking preferred or premium, not interested in the turbo or hybrid (unless someone can convince me). My driving is mostly city with some highway, but mainly stop and go. I live on the East Coast so would also be interested in what others paid for their vehicle. I don’t want to go to every dealership so was thinking of e-mailing a few to get otd pricing on whatever I choose. Thanks!
Put Hummingbirds Lunch cuphea in hanging baskets on our back deck yesterday and just had a visit. Now I know spring is here.
Whenever I read an article or story with a character described as being 60 years old or in their 60s, I cannot relate even though I am the same age. I guess I just don’t feel, or can’t believe, I’m this age. I feel like I’m trying to live my life as I should have in my younger years and in denial that I can’t.
