So conflicted and confusing

My mom is the one person I truly trust to watch my toddler. .. not that she ever really does . She’s an emotionally immature parents with some narcissistic tendencies ( deff not a full narcissist ) today our conversation went like this
\- me reminding her to put in the calendar to come check on our dog one day while were away

\- snooty sigh “ all I did this summer was watch animals”… she checked in on my dog one time in May. And watched me sister and brothers cats once this summer .

\- my reply ( yes i know i pushed this conversation in a bad direction)…. Some grandparents watch their grandkids 5 days a week so this is a fairly easy ask

My mom “ well I feel bad for them, that’s not something we do in this family , your grandmother never watched you”… my grandma watched us often.. maybe not on a weekly basis but we did spend a lot of time with her 🥴…

Me - in total shock that’s something she’d even say out loud.

Mom “ maybe one day that’s what you can do for your grandchildren “

Me “” oh I will”….

End convo.

I just can’t fathom that she said this . Yes practically have to ask her to watch my toddler sometimes but not without her making me feel bad about it .

Sigh.. the one person you trust most with your baby but at the same time that one person wants nothing to do with being a grandparent or supporting her child .

Tonight parking

Trying to decide if I should park tonight at city Field for Noah Kahan. The one thing Deering me is the possibility of waiting hours to get back out of the parking lot to go home, hoping to pay upon arrival to park . Any insight ?

Bettering myself

I struggle as a mom to a toddler. My mother is an immature parent . My eyes have opened and I’ve learned a lot about my own mom since having my daughter . I strive to be everything my mom was not for me . However , I do find myself often slipping and almost being just like my mom sometimes .. esp as my daughter gets into that 3.5/4 year old phase of tantrums .. attitude .. need for independence ykyk. I feel rage, overwhelm .. and so much disconnect from my daughter . I find myself trying to hide away or keep busy so I don’t have to sit and constantly entering her . She is an only child , was a very difficult infant and is extremely bright and talkative but also soo constant and hyperactive . My husband works a ton so it’s often just the two of us. My parents are little help.. I get anxiety and easily annoyed in the presence of my own mom - her comments , the way she speaks to my daughter. I also have adhd and PMDD so I know that does not help the easily overwhelming feelings I get . I definitely need a new therapist to begin really diving into all of this . Any insight or better subreddits to join?

Warwick Bach

Coming for a low-key bachelorette weekend in October.

Plan to do the winery looking for thoughts on the best wineries? Do people go from winery to winery in one day?? Is Uber is easy to access or is there a driver options?

Are there any bars at night that turned into a fun dancing for a younger crowd? In the Warwick area?

Is anyone in astrologist and does parties ?

Husbands new issue

My husband has always been regular .. the last month or so/ few weeks he had a pain is his upper abdominal area right between/ under the rib cage area . This week he’s been very constipated. He’s hardly been able to go to the bathroom. He’s currently doing a bike tour for the next 3 days and is feeling heavy and uncomfortable . Other than hydrating is there something at the pharmacy he can grab to help get things moving - without him needing to run to the toilet since that’s really difficult while he’s riding his bike lol also anyone have similar issues ? He’s freaking out about colon cancer. I’m thinking maybe b pylori.

▲ 1 r/SIBO

I’ve had chronic SIBO since being diagnosed in 2018. Tested negative in 2021 finally then positive again about a year later after having my daughter. I started seeing a new doctor and found out I’m positive for Lyme . Doctor said Lyme could be the underlying cause of my chronic SIBO. Anyone else had this be their reasoning ?
