Your favorite toy series doesn't exist until you create it. ✨
💬 Make a figure collection starts with one conversation. Describe a world, and the characters start showing up.
🎨 Every character arrives in the same style, like they walked out of one storybook.
🖨️ Print the full set, and the series you waited years for is finally in your hands.
Bring your dream series to life with Meshy Agent today!
Now your textures generate from multiple views too, so a few references of the same object bring the whole model back with much higher accuracy and consistency, from structure to texture.
What's new:
✨ Native 2K/4K/8K across all views, with consistent quality on every surface, front to back.
🎨 Stronger style fidelity that keeps your stylized, anime, and hand-drawn art looking the way you drew it.
🔤 Accurate text and patterns, rendered with more detail and a more natural look.
🔄 Higher multi-view consistency, so geometry and texture line up across the whole model.
You'll see the biggest difference on stylized, anime, and hand-drawn work.
Add your references and try it in your next project!
Chasing that clean 3D-meets-2D anime look, only to have the texture details get lost under the shading? In this tutorial, we'll demonstrate how to texture a model in Meshy with a native 8K base color that preserves details and realistic material definition, then use Blender's shader nodes to turn smooth lighting into clean, adjustable cel shading.

1️⃣ Generate Your 3D Character
Create a character concept in Meshy's Image workspace, and click Image to 3D to turn it into a 3D model. Check that the overall shape looks right before moving on.
https://i.redd.it/2n92gpbs6jhh1.gif
2️⃣ Apply 8K Texture
Go to Model workspace and select 8K resolution. Higher resolution preserves fine details and makes the materials look more realistic. Once ready, download the model in right format and send it to Blender.
https://i.redd.it/lpo12gju6jhh1.gif
3️⃣ Build the Toon Shader
In Blender's Shader Editor, delete the default Principled BSDF. Connect a Diffuse BSDF to Shader to RGB, then feed it into a ColorRamp to create controllable light and shadow.
The Diffuse BSDF calculates how the scene lighting falls across the model, while Shader to RGB converts that lighting into editable color data.
The ColorRamp simplifies the smooth lighting gradient into more defined light and shadow regions, allowing you to control where the shadows begin, how sharp the transition looks, and what color the shadows use.
https://i.redd.it/vuey12jz6jhh1.gif
4️⃣ Blend in the 8K Texture
Add a Mix node to combine the ColorRamp with the original 8K texture. Set it to Multiply with the Factor at 1.0, then connect the result through an Emission node to Material Output.
The Mix Step overlays the cel-shaded lighting onto the original texture: the darker parts of the ColorRamp create the shadows, while the lighter parts keep the model's original colors and texture details visible.
The Emission node then displays the combined result directly, without adding another layer of lighting that could change the final look.
https://i.redd.it/ben0vx627jhh1.gif
5️⃣ Fine-Tune the Shading
Move the ColorRamp handles to define the light and shadow boundaries, then adjust the shadow color to match your style.
https://i.redd.it/2kpts7l47jhh1.gif
Meshy's 8K texture preserves fine surface details and keep materials looking realistic, even after you apply custom shading in Blender 🤓

Whatever you can picture, Meshy can turn into a printable model.
Everything here went from concept to 3D print, and yours can too.
Now it's your turn: what's the weirdest, cutest or coolest thing you've ever made in 3D with Meshy? Share it in the comments — we'd love to see what you've created! The more unexpected, the better. ✨
Building a complete 3D scene can be a lot of work. There are props to create, textures to finish, and dozens of small details to refine. To show how the workflow comes together, we created a cinematic detective's office, with every prop made in Meshy and the final scene assembled in Unreal Engine. Zoom in on every clue — the details still hold up.
You can also watch the full workflow video. Please visit https://youtu.be/rRNJUfLHp7A?si=o61CKyg4ok6JqzQ7
1️⃣ Create 3D assets in Meshy
Start by using a written scene idea or reference image to generate a clear concept image for each prop. Choose your favorite result, send it to Image to 3D with one click, and check the basic shape before moving on.
https://i.redd.it/vy4l1hvk9egh1.gif
2️⃣ Texture Clay Models with 8K Texture
Remove Lighting helps to reduce highlights and shadows carried over from the reference image. Enable Generate PBR Maps so the asset includes the material information needed for more detailed surface control. Try our 8K Texture for shaper details and realistic surfaces.
https://i.redd.it/sek66fg5begh1.gif
3️⃣ Preview and Export Assets to Unreal Engine
Preview each finished asset from all angles to make sure the geometry and textures look right. Then export it as an FBX file and bring it into Unreal Engine.
https://i.redd.it/iufheeg5begh1.gif
4️⃣ Assemble the Scene in Unreal Engine
Import the finished assets into Unreal Engine and assemble them into the final scene.
https://i.redd.it/q9s9hof5begh1.gif
That's the full Meshy-to-Unreal Engine workflow. Try it with your own scene idea and share what you build!
1️⃣ Generate your model in Meshy
2️⃣ Use Auto Split to separate it into printable parts with one click
3️⃣ Import the parts into your slicer and group them by color
4️⃣ Print one color per plate, then assemble the finished model
No color switching. No prime tower. No failed marathon prints.

Hey r/virtualreality this is the Meshy Community account, so upfront: we make an AI 3D model tool, and the props in this world were made with it. Putting that first so nobody feels blindsided.
Sharing it because we thought the result was genuinely cool: one of our community members, Axinovium, built a full VRChat world called Divine Sanctuary, a big golden temple space, shrine-like and atmospheric, and showed it off at our last community meetup. Most of the 3D assets in it were AI-generated, which is part of what makes it interesting: it's a look at what a solo creator can put together for a social VR space now.
If you're in VRChat, you can search Divine Sanctuary in-game to walk around it yourself. If not, we filmed a short tour so you can see it either way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh4DsNjqg6Y
Curious what people here think, both about the world and about AI-gen assets showing up in social VR spaces.
This video shows how to turn a hand-drawn concept sketch into a complete 3D scene using Meshy and Blender. Meshy is used to develop the visual concept and generate the main objects as separate, textured 3D assets, while Blender handles scene assembly, lighting, and final adjustments. It is a practical way to move from an early idea to a workable 3D prototype in hours instead of modeling every asset from scratch.🚀
Full video walkthrough: https://youtu.be/OGgz90Vzg2I
1️⃣ Create a 3D concept render 🎨
Upload the scene sketch as reference image in Meshy Image Workspace, then add a prompt describing the intended look. Generate a more polished 3D-style concept image before creating any models. This step can provide clearer source image for extracting individual objects.
https://i.redd.it/fjszpyqtyqeh1.gif
2️⃣ Prepare clean references for each asset 🧹
Choose the individual objects you want to turn into 3D assets and crop them from the concept render. Regenerate each one as a clean, isolated reference image. Try to reduce background clutter or overlap with nearby objects.
https://i.redd.it/62bd0wxxyqeh1.gif
3️⃣ Generate individual models using Image-to-3D 🎩
Turn each reference to a 3D asset with Image-to-3D. You can texture the generated model directly in the workspace. Meshy now also supports 8K texture.
https://i.redd.it/7ctkwyyzyqeh1.gif
4️⃣ Export the models and assemble the scene in Blender 🗺️
Export the models from Meshy and bring them into Blender with both geometry and textures included, so as to keep cleanup to minimum. Lay out the assets with the original sketch. Once the composition is in place, set up the camera and lighting. From there, you have a fully editable 3D scene ready for rendering.
https://i.redd.it/wt4ytr35zqeh1.gif
The key to this workflow is to avoid generating the entire scene as one merged model. The same process can be applied to stylized environments, dioramas, game-scene prototypes, and other prop-based scenes.
Try this workflow and show us your creation!🤓
Full disclosure: I'm on the community team at Meshy (AI 3D model generator). One of our community members, TC Poole, built something I thought this sub would genuinely appreciate, a free browser-based VTuber rig, and he's giving it away with no watermark, no signup, no catch.
What it does:
He walked through the whole build in a video if you want to see it in motion: https://youtu.be/Ah66kSRph8c?si=xjjOySoRvqIls7BV
Happy to answer questions, or pull TC in if there's something I can't speak to.
The update raises the bar for AI texturing:
😎 Real 8K base color. Every pore, scratch, and fiber stays sharp, no matter how far you zoom in.
✨ Cleaner de-lighting. No baked-in shadows. Your textures hold up under any lighting.
🎯 Built for realism. Photorealistic detail makes 3D assets look alive.
Whatever resolution you need, we deliver. Not just sharper, but a higher standard for texture.
Meshy 3D Agent can now rig and animate 3D models directly in chat. In this walkthrough, we rig a generated model, add animations, and bring them to Unreal Engine to build a scene. We hope this workflow gives you new ideas and makes your next 3D project easier to build.🤓
