Return G7 Pro and getting G7 pro 8K I have some questions

Hello,

I purchased the G7 Pro a couple of days ago, but I have since realized there is an 8K version with better pads. I am thinking about returning the G7 Pro and getting the 8K. There is not much of a price difference, but I am not playing any FPS games competitively. I am just playing single-player games with this gamepad.

I was wondering if I can downclock the 8K to 1,000 because I do not want this to impact the performance of my PC. Also, is there much of a difference between the pads on the G7 Pro and the G7 Pro 8K that is worth the change?

I appreciate it. Thanks.

I need help deciding DIY'ing my skeleten desk frame or just but IKEA Idasen

I am thinking about building a custom desk frame for a heavy 160x72 cm, 36 mm MDF top.

Specs:

  • Frame: 140x60x71 cm
  • Legs: 40x60 or 60x60 mm steel tube
  • Wall thickness: 1.5 mm
  • Matte black powder coat
  • Adjustable feet
  • Top mounting holes included

First iteration uses a single lower crossbar.
Would this be rigid enough, or should I switch to two separate lower supports for better stability?

Here are the images of two different iterations

1st iteration

This was the first iteration I came up with (I am using ChatyGippity)

And here is the second, the language is different, but hopefully the shape will give you ideas

This has two separate lower supports under the table instead of one.

and... I am also eyeing IDASEN, it is a bit more expensive than my current setup and I really dont need the standing part of it. I just need something that will not vibrate when type or wobble.

Appreciate all the input and help

I have two proctored courses left to graduate but it does not let me select them unless I select electives, wtf?

Already emialed my advisor, he says he is busy. I have two required courses left, they are in my list, I cannot add any of them unless I add a random stupid ass elective that I dont even need. Is there a way to bypass this?

KVM is disasterous!

Hey, so I have set up the kvm like it was written on one of the guide on MSI's web page. I have plugged in my mac through type-c and then all my perphreals to my monitor and that one usb cable from package into the computer case and connected my monitor through hdmi to my computer.

First of all, where is the key to activate it? I am manually switching from HDMI 2 to TYPE-C. This way, it works. Is not there any way to set a switch?
Second of all, after I switched to my mac and worked for 4-5 hours, when I switch back to my HDMI2 port, it does not work! It says no signal and I have to re-plug the power adapter of the monitor to get it to work?

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

10 hours of usage, first ultrawide, I dont think I can use anything else.

So, I have been a long time 27 inch user, like really long time. It gave me the perfect balance of performance and quality, I have had very troubling issues with new 4th gen WOLEDs. 2 of them were banding like crazy and the last one just broke after 2 days of usage, so I sent all of them back.

Now, I bit the bullet and despite all of my prior suspicions, I ordered it. It arrived. It felt SO WEIRD at first hour. I decided to return this too. Then I played Wukong, 105 stable fps, with RT medium and FG, okay, not bad, my 16:9 is around 120 fps with same settings. However, in UW, I did not care about the fps as much as I thought I would, I was just immersed without realizing it. Then I just kept playing for a really long time.

One little con;
If the game is multiplayer and does not support UW, I just delete the game now. I dont think I can play anything that does not support 21:9 anymore.

Later, I switched to coding and some work, flawless gray uniformity, perfect text clarity.

TLDR: If you are not a competitive gamer, you want the best monitor, for me, this is it.

So guys, I have bought two monitors, one o them is 34 inch ultrawide and the other is 4th gen woled. Not gonna lie, woled looked better to me but at the 2nd day it just stopped working. So I am returning it tomorrow but I also have this new 5th qd oled, which makes me LOSE 20 FPS per game, but it just feels better overrall as a monitor, great grays, decent colors, blacks are not as good as woled and colors generally are worse but it is kinda growing on me. I am getting 110fps at wukong without RT and FG on, I might be convert, but I am not sure...

Hello people, i am trying to get a picture of performance of 34inch ultrawide, are there anyone that can shoot me fps in modern titles with these specs? Already tried cyberpunk and wukong benchmark tool through super resolution

Hello everyone, I have been trying new gen oled panels past couple of weeks, I had returned 2 woleds due to gray banding and I am hesitant to play panel lottery again... So, I am eyeing 5th qd oled that is only available in 34 ultrawide. I checked it on store and the thing is SO HUGE.

I am very much feeling hesitant due to performance hit issues and as well as ultrawide support from games.

I am rocking a 4080 super and 7800x3d(soon to be upgraded based on zen6 announcement) with 32 gigs.

I will try and use super resolution my current monitor to see how much FPS I am gonna lose.

I have returned 2 4th gen woleds due to banding and I was curious if getting one from Ultragear series have a chance of less banding?

The question is weird but I had banding issue with woled and refunded it. It was my first oled and everything looked fucking amazin now I want to get new one, but grey banding gave me so much headache, now there is qd oleds. My main concern with qd-oled is the black colors, as far as I read, the blacks are not as good as WOLED? I dont know if I will ever see a difference, I am always playing my curtains closed I hate the sun in my gaming room, so maybq 5th qd oled is better here? I just fucking hate having to risk gray bandings.

and btw qd oleds are more expensive in my country. How would you decide in this situation?
