Recommendation for 8 player split screen?

Hey guys! I’m looking for suggestions for games that run 8 player split screen/local multiplayer well and actually have the functionality working in your experience.

So far The Master Chief Collection runs great. I originally planned on using the original Call of Duty: MW2, but unfortunately it wouldn’t properly split the controls between players….

I’d controller multiple screens at once regardless of loading in everything and then hitting the END or N key. It does run all 8 screens fine, though.

I’m trying to put together an 8 player setup for my birthday, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
The only other game I know of that might work is Minecraft. What else should I check out??

Finally pulled the trigger on II and III

Back in the early 2010s, I found the first game in this series at a flea market. I really enjoyed it, but unfortunately I never got around to playing the rest of the series.

Fast forward to a couple of years ago 2023, and my coworker mentioned that he owned the other games. He takes genuinely great care of his collection, we both are collectors and we’d talked quite a few times about me eventually buying them from him.

He was planning on selling these, along with a bunch of his other games, at a convention this weekend. So I said screw it pulled the trigger..

I got it for current market price as I didn’t want to be that guy and short change him as we become good friends.

I’m really happy I did. The condition of the games is fantastic, and he even had the strategy guides when he first got it.

Figured I’d share here as there’d be some appreciation.

Hand Pain During powermoves Anyone Experienced This?

Hey everyone,

I've been training airflares for years and have built up a lot of air power, but recently I've been having an issue with my left hand. My catch hand not my dominate hand.

The weird thing is that it only hurts in the specific position I use to catch my airflares. I can still do hand hops on the same hand, other power moves like flares, hand balances, and most other movements without any pain. It's only that exact hand placement during the catch that causes cramping and pain on the top/left side of my hand.
Has anyone who's been through the airflare journey (or something similar) experienced this before?

In over a decade of training this move, the worst injuries I've dealt with were wrist and shoulder issues, so this hand pain is new to me. Right now I've been using finger extension/stretch bands, icing, heat pads, and trying to take care of it, but I'm not sure what else I should be doing.

My personal best is 8 airflares, and I'm working toward 10, but currently I can't do more than a few rounds before my hand starts hurting. I'd really like to get ahead of this and recover properly so I don't lose my airflare progress.
Any advice, experiences, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Below are two photos of where it hurts. On the left side of my hand or right above thìs area.

30M

Tried keeping it to one franchise per entry since “favorite” and “personal impact” are basically interchangeable tbh.
But this was HARD.

By antagonist, I’m not talking about Volgin that spot is reserved for The Boss.

For Saints Row, I meant a remake of the 360 game, not the reboot we got. Volition really could’ve reset the series back to its roots and moved away from all the over the top stuff. Instead, they went the opposite direction which is a shame considering the potential. I know it wasn’t entirely their fault since Embracer and the higher ups had the say and made them do what they did ultimately.

Nostalgic was such a toss up between FF7 and Crash 2.

Edit: My pick for OoT isn’t because I hate it. it’s still a great game. I just feel like it is the most glazed game of all time. I just don’t love it the same way most people do, and I personally prefer A Link to the Past and Wind Waker more. My other choice for overrated was going to be Super Mario 64, so I was getting crucified either way lol..

Scoot full/scoot cork progression one session.

So context I’m not a tricker I am a bboy so I’m just not as aware of the specifics. Pls Lmk if this is a scoot full or scoot cork.

Normally I gainer and do flips by swinging my right leg/right side while I B-twist/raize the opposite side. I’ve been trying to build the courage to throw corks for awhile but J-stepping from the opposite side still feels really awkward and I’d just crash hard.

Because of that, I started messing around with a scoot entry thìs session. and I’m hyped that I’m finally starting to get somewhere with it.

Luckily I was able to land this pretty fast through like less than 10 attempts but I’m not totally sure if this would be considered a scoot full or a scoot cork. For those with both skills of a cork and a scoot/cork/full I’m guessing the technique eventually transfers over into a running J-step then becomes a cork???

Hey everyone I’m looking for recommendations for the budget friendly jam focused skates (around $250 max).

I have very wide feet (about 4 inches wide) so fit is honestly my biggest concern. I used to skate a lot back in the 2000s, mostly rink skating, and I’m getting back into it now.

I’m leaning toward jam/rhythm skating with some breaking inspired footwork, so I’m looking for something for that. Any recommendations for skates that actually work well for wide feet n jam skating would be really appreciated.

I tried to stick to one game per franchise, but I couldn’t help myself in a few cases. From a gameplay perspective not story, REmake (RE1 remake 2002) is, in my opinion, the best survival horror game ever made, while OG RE4 is one of the most replayable and best action games made. Same deal with CTR is the best of the kart racer genre for me but Crash 2 is the definitive Crash Bandicoot game.

I really wanted to include Kingdom Hearts II as well. I went back and forth between that, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy VII, but in the end one of them had to go.

As for MapleStory, there was a time when I sank an ungodly number of hours into MMOs and online games. The ones I played most were MapleStory, Ragnarok Online, and GunZ: The Duel. unfortunately spent lot of time with league of legends but LoL aint going near this list.. I had to narrow it down, and MapleStory ultimately meant the most to me especially the pre Big Bang era everything after I didn’t care for hoping the upcoming MS Classic does it justice.

Originally I had TimeSplitters 2 on the list, but I swapped it for Killing Floor. KF1 just ended up being more impactful for me, and it’s something I’ve actually gone back to over the years.

Overall, I know my list won’t match everyone else’s, but I hope some people enjoy it and maybe even feel seen if any of these games meant something to them too.
