Test of time

I know there are more, but Partridge Quotes haven't just stood the test of time, they've became funnier.

  1. Your always going on about Benjamin Netanyahu Lynn, your never going to meet him. (Always a wanker, but a tad more famous since 2023)

  2. Lots of people bounce back! Dennis Hopper. Rolf Harris (17 years before allegations)

  3. What was he doing on the bloody roof? (2 years before Rod Hull)

Justice for the modelisers

I'm rewatching and Nick just took his intellectual beard to dinner with his friends.

Not only do they play exactly the same game each time they get together, but they give exactly the same answers and make the same jokes and the women answer in monotonous tones because they are jealous.

The models aren't stupid, they're bored!

Barkley's a wanker though

Season 5 Episode 16

I've posted a couple of times because I'm rewatching, mostly at home, but sometimes at work if it's quiet enough.

I thought I'd get away with watching The Body, I've not done a rewatch in a decade, but it couldn't be that sad, could it?

All it took was the Christmas scene, as soon as it flashed back to Joyce, I burst into tears at my desk.

An absolute masterpiece.

I switched it off, I'll watch at home.

Buffy & Angel rewatch

I watched both shows when they aired and then rewatched separately a few times over the years but the last time was around 10 years ago.

I checked this subreddit and found that people watched them simultaneously so I gave it a go and it's like a completely different show! It's great!

I knew there were connections but I didn't realise how perfectly timed they are. I'm on episode 8 of season 4 which opens with Buffy killing a vampire and then noticing something in the air before leaving and because I've just watched season 1 episode 7 of Angel, I already know that he's floating around somewhere.

Similar to an earlier episode, when Buffy steals the ring with the special gem from Spike and it ends with Oz going to LA to give it to Angel to keep him safe.

Cue the next episode of Angel, opening with Spike standing on a rooftop, clearly now in LA to steal the ring back. Also doing a very funny impression of Angel talking to a woman 😂

It's absolutely brilliantly done and I really hope people realised back in the day and recorded the episodes on video to watch them back to back.

Anyway, back to 'Pangs'

Random Easter Egg on a rewatch...pun intended

During the episode of Bad Eggs, behind Giles in the fiction section of the library is a Dean Koontz trilogy.

The title can't be read on the screen but I know the cover and the title is

Shattered

Whispers

Watchers

It's on the top left hand corner of the screen.

Pretty cool.

For the general readers...

I recently watched the new 'Wuthering Heights' and got lots of opportunities to annoy people by saying it's a fucking fuck story, but I also really enjoyed it, so I read the relatively short book.

Now, it's made me appreciate that entire scenario all the more! If you tell me that you have read a book, I'm not going to doubt you, I think it's a very strange thing to lie about but since reading Wuthering Heights and discussing it with people either in life or online, fucking hell, barely anyone has read it! They say they have and give a random summary, but when pressed, it's clear they have just read a review or an article!

I can also concur that Mark really summed it up quite well, when you take away everything else, it's just about real life and the class system of the time.

Who paid for Livia's care?

Obviously during season 1, Tony paid for Green Grove, but before Janice arrives, Livia is in hospital. Who paid for that? From my understanding, American hospital bills are astronomical and insurance only covers part of it. I assume she's not going to qualify for help because she owns her own house, but that was never sold.
