CNY Doctor’s Orders – What Happens Next? Ohio Local Monitoring, HSG & SIS Help

Hi everyone! I finally received all my doctor’s orders from CNY after my consultation and I’m honestly a little confused about what happens next 😅

For those who are doing local monitoring in Ohio, especially around North Canton/Canton/Akron/Cleveland, once you received your orders, what did you do next? Did you complete all the testing first and then contact CNY to start a cycle, or did you start treatment right away?

I have orders for baseline ultrasound/bloodwork, a lot of preconception blood tests, HSG and SIS, etc. I’m currently trying to figure out the most affordable places to get everything done locally since my insurance has a high deductible.

Where did you get your bloodwork done ? Labcorp, a hospital, fertility clinic, etc.? And does anyone know somewhere around North Canton/Canton/Akron that does outside-monitoring HSG and SIS at a reasonable price?
Also, please tell me about your HSG/SIS experience 😭 How painful was it? Did you do both in the same cycle, and did you take anything beforehand for the pain?

I’m not quite ready financially to start IVF immediately, so I’m mainly trying to complete the required testing and understand the process so I’m ready when we can start. Any advice on what you did after receiving your CNY orders would really help. ❤️

Starting My IVF Journey at CNY – Looking for Advice

Hi everyone! I’m a new CNY patient with my consultation this week and would love any advice.

I’m **33** with an **AMH of 1.46**. My husband has **severe male factor infertility**. He was in a previous relationship for **12 years** with no pregnancies, and we’ve been together for **16 months** with no pregnancy either, so we’re expecting to go straight to **IVF with ICSI** (they never pursued IVF in his previous relationship).
I’d love to hear:

What do you wish you knew before starting at CNY?
Any tips or mistakes to avoid?
Which CNY location and doctor did you use, and would you recommend them?
If you had the choice, would you recommend a **Day 3 or Day 5 transfer**, and why?
Does anyone have **Cigna** or **AultCare** insurance, and what was covered?

If you’re in the **Westchester/Hudson Valley, NY** area, where did you do your local monitoring?
Thanks so much—I appreciate any advice! ❤️

I-765 Automatically Revoked months after green card?

My I-485 was approved and my green card was produced in April 2025.

Today, my USCIS account suddenly updated my I-765 to “Automatically Revoked” due to the underlying form.

My I-485 still says “Card Was Produced”, and I have my physical C.green card.

Has anyone else had this happen months later? Is this just USCIS closing the EAD case after green card approval, or should I be concerned?

Anyone Use CNY Fertility Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, or Buffalo? Looking for Honest Reviews

Hi everyone! I’m 33 and considering CNY Fertility.
AMH: 1.46
Significant male factor infertility very low count, motility, and morphology

I’d love to hear from anyone who has used CNY Albany Latham, Syracuse, Rochester, or Buffalo.

A few questions:
Which location did you use and would you recommend it?
How was communication with doctors/nurses?
Did you feel supported, or did it feel like a “fertility factory”?
How easy was it to get answers during your cycle?
If you traveled, how did monitoring work?
Any surprises with costs?
Especially interested in hearing from anyone dealing with male factor infertility or traveling several hours for treatment.
I’ve heard both great things about CNY’s affordability and concerns about communication, so I’m trying to get a realistic idea before deciding.

CNY Fertility Travel Patients: Which Clinic Location Was Your Experience?

Hi everyone! I’m 33 and considering CNY Fertility.
Background:
AMH: 1.46
Significant male factor infertility (very low count, motility, and morphology)
Likely IVF with ICSI
I’d love to hear from anyone who has used CNY Albany (Latham), Syracuse, Rochester, or Buffalo.
A few questions:
Which location did you use, and would you recommend it?
How was communication with the doctors and nurses?
Did you feel supported, or did it feel more like a “fertility factory”?
How easy was it to get questions answered during your cycle?
If you traveled, how did you handle monitoring?
Were there any unexpected costs?
I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone dealing with male factor infertility or traveling several hours for treatment.
I’ve read mixed reviews—many people love CNY for affordability, while others mention communication challenges—so I’m hoping to get a realistic perspective before deciding.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences!

Seeking honest reviews of CNY Fertility locations (Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo)

Hi everyone,
I’m 33 years old and currently researching CNY Fertility. I’m located up north area and am trying to decide which CNY location would be the best fit.
A little background:
AMH: 1.46
Significant male factor infertility (very poor count, motility, and morphology)
IVF with ICSI will likely be part of the discussion
Cost is definitely a factor, not also a factor which is one of the reasons I’m considering CNY
I’m looking for honest feedback from patients who have used any of the following locations:

Albany (Latham)
Syracuse
Rochester
Buffalo
A few questions:

Which location did you use and why did you choose it?

How was communication with the nurses and doctors?

Were you treated like an individual patient or did it feel like a “fertility factory”?

How easy was it to get questions answered during a cycle?
If you were a travel patient, how difficult was it to coordinate local monitoring?

How was the retrieval and transfer experience?

Were there any hidden costs or surprises?

Would you choose the same location again?
If you considered multiple CNY locations, why did you ultimately choose one over the others?

I’m especially interested in hearing from patients with male factor infertility and from anyone who had to travel several hours for treatment.

I’ve read a mix of reviews online—some people seem to love CNY because of the affordability, while others mention communication challenges and needing to be proactive with their care. I’m trying to get a realistic picture before making a decision.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences. I truly appreciate any advice, lessons learned, or things you wish you’d known before starting.

I-751 ROC evidence question; joint account closed/reopened + living in different states for work

Hi everyone,
I’m preparing my I-751 Removal of Conditions (joint filing with my spouse) and wanted to ask what others submitted in similar situations.
My situation:
We originally had a joint bank account, but it was closed for a period of time.
We have recently reopened a new joint account.
We do have other evidence of a real marriage (taxes, photos, communication, etc.).
However, due to work, my spouse and I currently live in different states (temporary separation for employment reasons, not marital separation).
My questions:
Did anyone submit a case where a joint bank account was closed and later reopened? Did that cause any issues?
What strong evidence did you include for ROC besides bank accounts?
How did you explain living in different states due to jobs? Did USCIS question that heavily?
If anyone has been approved with a similar situation, what did your strongest evidence package look like overall?
Just trying to make sure I’m putting together a strong and honest package and not missing anything important.
Any insight from people who have gone through it would really help.
Thank you!

AMH is 1.47, I’m 33

Hi everyone,

I’m 33 years old and recently had my AMH checked. My result came back at 1.46 ng/mL.

My provider told me it’s within the normal range, but I can’t help feeling anxious because it seems lower than many of the numbers I see posted online. I’m currently waiting for a referral for an AFC scan to get a more complete picture.

For those who had a similar AMH around my age, what was your experience? Did you go on to conceive naturally or through IVF? How many eggs were retrieved if you did IVF?

I’m trying to stay positive, but I’m finding myself worrying about my ovarian reserve and whether I should be concerned.

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences and any words of encouragement.

Thank you

IVF Clinic Recommendations in Ohio or New York + AMH Testing Advice?

Looking for IVF clinic recommendations in Ohio or New York + advice on starting fertility testing. I will be 34 this year already🥺

My spouse recently got a new job and we now have insurance coverage, so I’m finally thinking about starting my fertility journey properly.

For now, I mostly just want to start with getting my AMH levels checked first and maybe consider IVF later down the road depending on results and next steps.

Can anyone recommend fertility clinics in Ohio or New York that they personally used and had good experiences/results with?

Also:
Were you able to get AMH testing done without going fully into IVF?

Did you need a doctor’s order/referral first?

How did your IVF journey start financially and emotionally?

Any advice for someone just beginning the process?
Would especially love hearing from women/couples who used insurance benefits for fertility treatment.

Traveling to Ghana/Africa on a Conditional Green Card ;) What Was Your Experience?

Has anyone here traveled internationally or back to Africa while on a conditional green card (2-year marriage green card)?

I’m considering traveling and would really love to hear real experiences; especially from Africa or anyone who traveled outside the U.S. on a conditional GC.

How was re-entry into the U.S.?
Did immigration ask many questions?
Did you travel alone or with your spouse?
Any issues at the airport or with your passport/green card?

Would appreciate any tips or experiences. Thank you!

Hi all,

I’m trying to understand realistic PhD vs Master’s pathways in the U.S. from people already in academia or research.

Background:

I hold a BSc and MSc in Genetics (Nigeria), with hands-on experience in Andrology, Embryology, and Clinical Diagnostics in an IVF/reproductive lab.

I’m considering further study in reproductive biology, genetics, or biomedical science.

One thing I’m trying to understand is how people with an MSc in a similar field usually approach this:

Do most go directly into funded PhD programs?
Is doing another Master’s in the U.S. actually necessary in practice?

How did funding work in your experience as an international student?

I’d appreciate any insight from people who have gone through PhD admissions or are currently in STEM programs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get real guidance from people who know this space well.

I already have:
BSc and MSc in Genetics (Nigeria)
Work experience in Andrology, Embryology, and Clinical Diagnostics (IVF/reproductive lab setting)

Now I want to further my studies in the U.S., preferably in:
Genetics
Reproductive biology / IVF research
Biomedical science

Or anything related in healthcare/biology/research
I’m open to either a Master’s or PhD, but my main concern is funding. I don’t really have the ability to pay full tuition, so I’m specifically looking for:

Fully funded programs
Assistantships (RA/TA)
Scholarships for international students
Or any pathway that reduces cost significantly

I’ve been seeing mixed advice online:

Some people say I should go straight for a PhD since I already have an MSc
Others say I should still do a U.S. Master’s first to “enter the system”
So I’m honestly confused about the best route.

My questions are:
What is the most realistic fully funded path for someone with my background?

Are there specific schools or labs in genetics/reproductive biology that actually fund internationals?

Is PhD the better option financially in my case?
Has anyone here transitioned from international MSc → funded PhD in biology/healthcare?

Any honest advice, experiences, or even warnings would really help me figure out my next step.

Thank you so much in advance.
