[For Hire] Commissions open for August! Clasic style noir comic, 200 USD/page

"The Red Neighbor" is a short story by Iker Izquierdo. My goal with these illustrations and panels was to capture that classic noir vibe—the kind you'd see in American magazines back in the 50s and 60s, such as Tales from the Crypt, Creepy or Crime SuspenStories—which Iker’s novels are so well-known for.

My first day here in Reddit. Ahoy!

Howard Pyle was a brilliant illustrator from the late 19th century. I completely fell in love with his work through "Howard Pyle's Book of Pirates". He was a compulsive draftsman who studied the world of pirates in deep detail, illustrating many of the classic adventure stories we all know and love.

These are some ink and paint studies I did based on one of his countless masterpieces: "Captain Scarfield".
