Newer DM here, wondering what programs are good for map designing, specifically one for terrain and another for large vehicles/buildings

The image is from Alien Covenant, a film I love and have been basing my campaign on. I’d rather not use AI, as I feel it removes the human aspect of DnD. If any tips for making things on paper, that’d help too!

Newer DM here, I’m wondering what more experienced DM’s use for notes. Like a laptop or notebook, what do you recommend. (Image semi-related.)

I have 2 players, my best friends, as my party. They both enjoy the same media but I’ve been expanding some concepts. I have a campaign I’m working on, where I have these “Deacon Sharks” in an area. I want to write a description for them and don’t want to show them this image, as I want them to form their own mental image. I want a place to keep the descriptions for my homebrew NPCs.

You’ve probably heard it a lot, but how do I fix this broken joint?

This is a NECA Alien: Resurrection xenomorph warrior figure that I got for Christmas from my grandma. I moved, but the figure broke in storage. When I got it out, I found the leg (thankfully) and have been wanting to fix it. However, I’m afraid that I might glue the joint shut so it can’t move anymore. Anyone know a good way to fix it or will I have to bite the bullet?
