I've been working on my indie SRPG for over a year

Hibera, Requiem for the Forgotten is an SRPG about two bands of friends and warriors struggling to survive on opposing sides of a continent-spanning war. Embark on a lengthy campaign of strategic battles where every choice could be your last. Pixel graphics and classic aesthetics hearken back to a bygone era of games when larger-than-life myths were told on tiny screens.

When war comes to your door, when the claws of long-buried history reach out to drag you into darkness, what will you risk and what will you sacrifice? Can you find a path through violence and despair to save yourself, your friends, your people, and the world itself?

Pacing Mechanics?

Hey all I've got a little survey for this group. I'm in the process of implementing thieves in my game and other pacing mechanics like destroying the villages etc. What other pacing mechanics should I add? And which ones do you hate?

Hoping to have a large toolbox to keep it fresh so open to inventive ideas! (Pic for attention)

Help finding a community to share my game

Hi all,

Kind of an odd request for you today. I'm not a big Reddit poster (long time Reddit lurker) but I'm trying to change my ways.

I have been working on this game, Hibera, Requiem for the Forgotten for over a year now as largely a solo developer effort. And I've shared it here before, but I think it's felt like marketing or it felt like marketing to me. And I know I need to market my game but that's not what I'm here for today.

This game is really heavily inspired by the gba era Fire Emblem games that got me hooked on the series way back in the day and I think it's a genre that's criminally underserved.

I have a bluesky and a blog and a steam page but those feel like shouting into the void and what I'm really hoping to find is a community of people who want to chat about upcoming indie games like mine and who understand the genre who I can have those nitty gritty conversations with. I don't have an outlet for that kind of thing and it's driving me nuts.

So what I'm hoping you can help me with is to suggest other subreddits that you're a part of that you think might like to engage in this kind of content/discussion. I don't think it's this subreddit (although I like you all very much) just because of the singular series focus.

Looking for your suggestions bonus points for deep cuts!

Hi all, I've been developing this game for over a year and I'm just putting up a Kickstarter campaign to help me build out the rest. I'm sharing it here because it's heavily inspired by Fire Emblem, especially the GBA era which I grew up with.

Would love your feedback and support, but even if you just hit notify to boost the algorithm that would be super helpful. Thanks so much!

You can find out more on my website badjuicegames.com or on Steam at https://store.steampowered.com/app/4492680/Hibera\_Requiem\_for\_the\_Forgotten/

I can't wait to share this game with you all.

Hi all, I've been developing this for over a year from my home in Wicklow (the project name was Rathdrum) and about to run a Kickstarter to get it the rest of the way. Would love your support or even just boosting the algorithm by hitting "notify"

You can find out more about the game at my website badjuicegames.com

I'll be at GamerFest in Dublin this month with a playable demo!

Cheers!

Edit- fix name if GamerFest
