Just got my first moka pot and i’m equal parts excited and terrified 🫖☕

Okay so I finally caved and bought a moka pot after months of admiring them (the little stovetop hourglass shape? absolute cottagecore dream). It’s sitting on my counter right now looking very pleased with itself and I have zero idea what I’m doing.

A few questions for the wise moka elders of this sub:

**•	Whole beans or pre-ground?** I don’t have a grinder yet but I’m willing to get one if it makes a real difference
**•	What roast/grind works best** for that classic rich moka pour without turning bitter or burnt?
**•**	Any **beginner-friendly brands** you’d recommend that won’t break the bank but still taste like an actual hug in a cup?
**•**	And honestly… any little rituals or tips that make the whole process feel special? I want this to become a slow-morning thing, not just another appliance gathering dust

Send me your wisdom, your favorite beans, your “wish someone told me this on day one” tips. I’m ready to fall in love with this little pot 🤎

🍂 Some Stories Begin Before You Even Open the Book

I thought I was buying a book. Turns out, I also received a tiny piece of someone’s kindness.

I ordered a brand-new book from someone on Reddit, expecting exactly one thing to arrive in the mail: the book.
What I didn’t expect was a handwritten note and a couple of beautiful bookmarks tucked inside.
It’s funny how the smallest gestures can turn an ordinary package into something that feels so personal.
Before I even read the first sentence, someone had already added a little warmth to the story. The note will be kept safely between these pages, and the bookmarks will forever remind me that sometimes the most memorable part of a book isn’t just what’s printed inside—it’s the kindness that comes with it.
To the stranger u/i_like_space who packed this parcel with a little extra thought: thank you for making my bookshelf feel a little more magical. 📖🤍

Finally got out of being lapsed.

Took me just two days after 6 years of being a lapsed reader. I am so happy so heartbroken cried like a kid so grateful. This is the book that took me out of it and threw me in my crazy reading era again 🙌🏻.

What are your current readings now ? Starting ‘The kite runner’ from tomorrow 🙌🏻
