It's been a gradual fall down the banzuke for Nishikigi over the course of the last couple of years, but after this most recent tournament, he went 7-8 at Juryo 14 West. That makes demotion to Division 3 extremely likely quite possible. If he gets demoted, is it likely that he retires?
Has anyone seen any reports on if Hosh is looking healthy going into Nagoya, or will we just have to wait and see?
Over the years, I’ve gone to a handful of Spanish language Masses at a few different churches. At each of them, I’ve noticed that there’s a much higher percentage of the parishioners that stay seated rather than receiving communion than I’m used to seeing in English language Masses. To me, this indicates a high level of respect for the Eucharist.
I was curious if anyone else has had this experience and if there’s any data to suggest that Hispanic Catholics are more reverent on average, or if Eucharistic education is often better in those communities.
Edit: I’m mostly talking about in the United States specifically
This feels like a subtle Chekhov's gun kind of thing, since Ian later dies to the exact same kind of gun.
During the party scene, there’s a neon sign of a revolver hanging above the bar. I wonder if it’s a bit of a Chekhov's Gun reference, given that Ian gets shot by the same kind of gun at the end.
I would really like to see Buckethead, but my schedule is making it really difficult to catch him this time around. Is he likely to tour again anytime soon? I know he’s getting older and has had some health difficulties. If this is potentially my last chance, I‘ll try to make it work.
The best way I can think to put it is that in my mind, Oho is Mario and Abi is Wario.
Also I’m high as balls rn.
Might be interesting to see the difference at season’s end tbh.
