Meze 105 Silva — one of my top 3 headphones

Just wanted to share my 105 Silva since it has become one of my top 3 headphones.

I really enjoy listening to these. Everything about the tuning just works for me. The bass is honestly at the perfect level — enough to make music fun and enjoyable without being too much. The treble is also really good and detailed, but it never feels harsh or fatiguing to me.

And the build quality… honestly, nothing comes close. They feel so premium in the hands and on the head. The design is beautiful too.

I’ve tried quite a few headphones, but these are one of the ones I can just put on and enjoy without thinking too much about the sound.

Meze 105 Silva vs 109 Pro – Looking for opinions from people who have tried both

I’m planning to buy either the Meze 105 Silva or the Meze 109 Pro, but I’m honestly stuck between the two.

I’ve watched a lot of YouTube reviews and read plenty of articles, and both seem to get great feedback. However, I’d really like to hear from people who have actually owned or spent time with them.

I have the Kiwi Ears Astral & Moondrop Blessing 3. What should I blind buy next?

I currently own the Kiwi Ears Astral and Moondrop Blessing 3, and I’ve really enjoyed both of them.

Now I want to try something completely different. I’m planning to blind buy my next IEM, and I thought it’d be fun to let the community decide.

Comment only ONE IEM that you think I should buy next (under $1,000). The IEM that gets mentioned the most is the one I’ll purchase—no matter what it is.

Sennheiser CX 80U review: Incredible price-to-performance

I recently picked up the Sennheiser CX 80U (USB-C), and I have to say I’m genuinely impressed. For the price, the sound quality is far better than I expected. It has a clean, balanced sound with surprisingly good bass and clarity, making it great for casual music listening.

I mainly bought it for music and phone calls, and it’s been excellent for both. The microphone is clear enough for calls, and the overall audio quality punches well above its price.

After using it for a while, I can honestly say I prefer it over the Apple USB-C wired EarPods. To my ears, the CX 80U sounds fuller, more detailed, and just more enjoyable overall.

If you’re looking for a budget wired USB-C earphone with excellent price-to-performance, I think the CX 80U is an easy recommendation.

Has anyone else tried them? What are your thoughts?

Worthwhile IEM Upgrade After Kiwi Ears Astral?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using the Kiwi Ears Astral and I’m really enjoying it, especially for both music and competitive FPS games like Warzone and CS2.

I’m thinking about upgrading, but I don’t want a sidegrade. I’m looking for something that offers a clear and noticeable improvement in technical performance, such as imaging, soundstage, detail retrieval, separation, and overall sound quality.
My budget is flexible, but I’d rather spend more only if the upgrade is genuinely worth it.

For those who have owned or compared the Astral with higher-end IEMs, what would you recommend as the next step? Which IEM gave you that “wow” factor and felt like a true upgrade?

Xenns Mangird Top Pro vs Kiwi Ears Astral – Which one would you choose?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to decide between the Xenns Mangird Top Pro and the Kiwi Ears Astral, and I’d love to hear from people who have actually tried one or both.

My priorities are:

Strong, satisfying bass with good sub-bass rumble
Great sound quality for music
Good imaging and positioning for FPS games like CS2 and Warzone

If you’ve owned or listened to both, which one would you recommend and why? Is the Top Pro worth spending the extra money, or does the Astral offer better value?

I’d really appreciate your experiences and opinions. Thanks!

Anyone using the Focal Hadenys for competitive FPS games? Worth it?

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking about buying the Focal Hadenys, mainly for competitive FPS games like Warzone while also using them for music.

I know they’re marketed more as audiophile headphones, but I’m curious about their gaming performance.

For anyone who has actually used them:
How is the imaging and positional accuracy?
Are footsteps easy to pinpoint?
How does the soundstage compare to headphones like the HD 490 Pro, HD 800 S, Meze 109 Pro, or Hifiman Arya?
Do you think they’re worth buying primarily for FPS gaming, or are there better options in the same price range?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

Looking for Home Theater Recommendations (Budget: $4,500)

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to build a dedicated home theater system for my living room, and I’d love to get some recommendations from people with experience.

My budget is around $4,500 USD for the entire setup (speakers, AV receiver, subwoofer, etc.).

I’m mainly looking for:

Amazing surround sound for movies and TV shows
Dolby Atmos support
Great music quality as well

Do you think $4,500 is enough to build something that’s considered high-end, or is that more of a mid-range budget in the home theater world?

I’d really appreciate your suggestions on speaker brands, AV receivers, subwoofers, and complete system combinations. If you were spending $4,500 today, what would you buy?

Thanks in advance!

Looking to upgrade from the FiiO K7 – what DAC/amp should I consider?

Hi everyone,

I've been using the Filo K7 for quite a while now, and honestly it's been an amazing DAC/amp. I have no complaints about its performance, but I'd like to try something different and see if there's a noticeable upgrade in sound quality.

My main headphones are:
• HiFiMAN Arya Stealth
• Meze 109 Pro
• Sennheiser HD 490 Pro

I mainly listen to Apple Music Lossless, but I also spend a lot of time playing competitive FPS games, so imaging, detail, and soundstage are important to me.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro vs Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII – Which would you buy?

I’m planning to buy either the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro or the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII, but I can’t decide.

For those who’ve owned or tried both, which one would you choose and why? I’m interested in your overall impressions of the sound quality, comfort, imaging, bass, and long-term listening experience. If you’ve used them for both music and gaming, I’d love to hear how they compare.
If you had to keep only one, which would it be?

Subject: Meze 109 Pro vs Focal Hadenys – Which Would You Choose?

I’m currently deciding between the Meze 109 Pro and the Focal Hadenys and would appreciate some opinions from people who have heard both.

How do they compare in terms of:

-Overall enjoyment
-Bass quality and impact
-Detail and resolution
-Imaging and soundstage
-Comfort for long listening sessions

I already own a Hifiman Arya Stealth, so I’m looking for something that complements it rather than replaces it.

If you’ve had experience with both headphones, which one would you choose and why?

Thanks!

Looking for an Upgrade from Arya Stealth

I’m currently using the Hifiman Arya Stealth and really enjoy them for both music and gaming. I’m looking for a headphone upgrade and would love some recommendations.

My budget is around $1,000, but I can stretch a bit for a worthwhile upgrade. I’m open to both planar and dynamic headphones. I’m not necessarily looking for the same sound signature as the Arya—I’d also like to try something different if it’s a great experience.

What headphones would you recommend as a true upgrade or a worthwhile sidegrade from the Arya Stealth?

Upgrade from Arya Stealth – Thinking About Meze 109 Pro

I’ve been using the Hifiman Arya Stealth and still love them, especially for gaming and music. However, I’d like to try something different rather than just a small upgrade.

I’m currently considering the Meze 109 Pro because I keep hearing great things about it.

My main use is gaming and music (jazz, vocals, instrumental).

For those who have owned both, how does the Meze 109 Pro compare to the Arya Stealth? Is it worth adding to my collection, or are there better options I should consider?

Thanks!

Fiio M21 and Astral Have Been a Great Combo

Been spending a lot of time with the FiiO M21 lately and I’m honestly loving this setup.

I used the Moondrop Blessing 3 for quite a while and it’s a great IEM, especially if you like a cleaner and more neutral presentation. But after switching to the Kiwi Ears Astral, I found myself enjoying my music a lot more.

The Astral just sounds more fun to me. The bass hits harder, the overall presentation feels more engaging, and it keeps me wanting to listen for hours. The Blessing 3 might be the more “correct” tuning, but the Astral is the one that makes me smile when I press play.

Anyone else here prefer a fun tuning over a more neutral one?
