I’ve watched a lot of YouTube reviews and read plenty of articles, and both seem to get great feedback. However, I’d really like to hear from people who have actually owned or spent time with them.

I currently own the Kiwi Ears Astral and Moondrop Blessing 3, and I’ve really enjoyed both of them.

Now I want to try something completely different. I’m planning to blind buy my next IEM, and I thought it’d be fun to let the community decide.

I’m currently using the Kiwi Ears Astral and I’m really enjoying it, especially for both music and competitive FPS games like Warzone and CS2.

I’m thinking about upgrading, but I don’t want a sidegrade. I’m looking for something that offers a clear and noticeable improvement in technical performance, such as imaging, soundstage, detail retrieval, separation, and overall sound quality.
My budget is flexible, but I’d rather spend more only if the upgrade is genuinely worth it.

For those who have owned or compared the Astral with higher-end IEMs, what would you recommend as the next step? Which IEM gave you that “wow” factor and felt like a true upgrade?

My budget is around $4,500 USD for the entire setup (speakers, AV receiver, subwoofer, etc.).

I’m mainly looking for:

Amazing surround sound for movies and TV shows
Dolby Atmos support
Great music quality as well

Do you think $4,500 is enough to build something that’s considered high-end, or is that more of a mid-range budget in the home theater world?

I've been using the Filo K7 for quite a while now, and honestly it's been an amazing DAC/amp. I have no complaints about its performance, but I'd like to try something different and see if there's a noticeable upgrade in sound quality.

My main headphones are:
• HiFiMAN Arya Stealth
• Meze 109 Pro
• Sennheiser HD 490 Pro

I mainly listen to Apple Music Lossless, but I also spend a lot of time playing competitive FPS games, so imaging, detail, and soundstage are important to me.

I’m planning to buy either the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro or the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII, but I can’t decide.
